"Poor Care and High Fees at Assisted Living Facility"
This place doesn't know how to properly care for seniors. We took a virtual tour and I saw old folks and workers without facemasks. It's no shock that this place has had lots of sick residents sent to the hospital. Charging $8,000 for an apartment and care services, plus an extra fee for medicine, and making you pay one month's rent upfront is just crazy. My mom is now in a different assisted living community in Hockessin, which is way more affordable and has better care.

"HarborChase of Wilmington: High Cost, Low Quality, Broken Promises"
This assisted living facility, HarborChase of Wilmington, looks really nice when you first walk in. The building is pretty new, only two years old. My parent has been there more than a year. But in that year, three different people have been in charge, and the quality of nursing care has really declined. Every time a new boss comes in, they promise things will get better. But has there been a discount for the problems? No, there hasn't been. We're paying a high price, $7700 a month (meals not included) for care that's just not very good. Even though they advertise 24-hour nursing care, it's more like 12-16 hours, and never three days in a row. There are always excuses, like shortage of nurses because hospitals are needing them. We're tired of excuses, we want what we're supposed to be getting for our money. Since the coronavirus pandemic, we can't even go inside to see our parent. And when we bring things for our parent and leave them at the door, we notice a lot of people who aren't staff going in without having their temperatures checked or wearing masks. You would do better to save your money and avoid the stress by choosing a different senior living community. There a lot of other places around here.

"Think Twice Before Choosing Harbor Chase: Unimpressive Management and Care"
Harbor Chase Assisted Living Community took a turn for the worse after Mom moved in last year, mainly due to poor management. Communication has been terrible, especially regarding the handling of COVID-19 cases. They've been feeding their residents misleading information about the steps they're taking to protect the elderlies who haven't been infected yet, which is utterly shameful. First impressions can be deceiving; the community is visually impressive right from the main entrance. However, regretfully, the negligent elderly care makes it a place where people are spending their last days. The cleaning isn't done adequately. You can often catch the staff doing a sloppy job of simple things, like wiping the handrails. My mother, despite paying over $8,000 a month, only gets two meals a day instead of the promised three. If you're considering moving family members here, I strongly advise against it. Nothing they offer here, except a lack of COVID-19, is worth the move. Better choose a place that has no positive cases, easy to search in the News Journal where such facilities are regularly listed.

"Absurdly Priced Shared Rooms at Assisted Living Facility"
This place is absurd. It's more expensive to share a room than to have your own?
