"Weekend Staff Shortages at Allegro Fleming Isla Assisted Living"
We picked Allegro Fleming Isla because of the atmosphere, and it seemed perfect for my family member. They do have fewer staff on weekends.

"Assisted Living Facility Offers Caring Staff and Good Meals"
I would choose Allegro again for a loved one. The staff care for residents, quickly answer family questions, and help my loved one communicate with us. The meals are good with three provided daily.

"Cozy but Limited Grounds"
This community was pleasant, but it seemed a bit too small and lacked the grounds we desired for our loved one.

"Great Activities and Respite Care Available"
We chose Allegro because they had respite care available. They have a lot of activities for the residents, which is nice because my parents are very active. We would recommend them to others looking for a place.

"A Solid Assisted Living Community"
The staff is amazing, the rooms are super quiet, and the grounds are really beautiful. Just keep in mind the age of your family member—there are more older people than we anticipated. Our loved one isn’t a fan of the food; it feels repetitive. Still, overall, it’s a solid community to consider.

"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living, Adjustments Required for New Residents"
My mother arrived just before Christmas after selling our home of 20 years. She was supposed to stay for 30 days as a guest, but they offered her a better deal to become a regular resident. Since many residents leave with their families during the holidays, the staff levels were lower than usual. There were fewer activities available, and the dining room had fewer staff. It took a while to set up her TV, which you have to bring yourself, and make sure it worked. This meant many quiet evenings when she felt lonely and bored. They did introduce her to other new residents, and she did make one good friend. Overall, she thought the place was nice but felt she wasn't ready for a retirement community and moved back in with me."

"Nice place, but pricey for high care needs"
While checking out places for my loved one, this community had the best outdoor area. The staff were friendly. But, if your loved one needs a lot of care, it might be expensive. In the end, it just didn’t feel like the right fit.

"Rent Increases Unsettling, Otherwise Enjoyable Living Environment"
My dad started living at Allegro's independent living section three years ago, and he's really liked it there. The rooms are nice, and there are lots of things to do with other people. But, we didn't know that the rent would go up by 5% every year, even if prices didn't go up. Now, he's paying $500 more each month than when he moved in. His rent went from $3300 a month to $3800. It would be hard to move him now. We just wish they had told us about the rent going up all the time.

"Great Services!"
My mom lives in independent living, and even though she doesn't get any special care services, we're really happy with what they've done so far. Very pleased.
