"Not suitable for seniors needing care; stick to licensed nursing homes."
This place is okay if you're an older person and you're still pretty sharp and healthy. But if you or your loved one needs help with remembering things or moving around, don't come here. They're not prepared to handle that kind of stuff. It's better to find a nursing home that's licensed by the state instead.

""Very Bad Experience at American House Zephyrhills""
My wife and I used to live at American House Zephyrhills, and it was a really bad experience. The place was kept clean for sure. But that's about it. The care they provided, the food, and what you got in return for your money, was really bad. The people working there weren't nice at all. Altogether, it wasn't a good place to be. I wouldn't tell others to go there.

"Mixed Experience: Assisted Living Facility Review"
My rating is so-so. The place looks nice. Some Memory Care staff are good, others are loud and rude. They don't keep all their promises. They never take my loved ones outside as promised. The Memory Care staff seems short on help. They mix in people from other areas, making the staff-to-resident ratio not what they said. It gets crowded and staff seem stressed and short with residents. Cleaning of main areas is good. They do laundry and clean the shower once a week but not daily. There aren't many activities. They only talk to me when I ask or when they're unhappy with my loved one's behavior. They don't communicate well with Memory Care patients. They forget that they can't remember things. Meals are three times a day with snacks, but they don't push hydration, which is a problem in Memory Care. Family can't eat with loved ones, so I can't comment on the food. My loved one gets enough to eat and drink but nothing special for their diet.

"Assisted Living Review: Pleasant Staff, Happy Residents, Engaging Activities"
This place has been really nice. The people who work here are friendly and they help out a lot. My family members mostly like it here. The staff talk to us well and keep us informed. They serve three meals every day and the residents can pick what they want to eat. There are movie nights, games, and other fun things for the residents to do.

"Mixed Experience in Assisted Living, Not Without Its Challenges"
Assisted living was really great! The apartment was super nice. The place is very clean, and the food is good. They have lots of fun stuff to do if you want. The physical therapy with Legacy is awesome - they're great. But I had to move my dad to memory care, which has been hard. They're not very careful about things going missing. They have a lot of turnover with staff, so it's hard to keep things consistent for my dad. Since he walks around, they forget he needs help in the bathroom, which has caused skin problems.

"Highly Satisfying Assisted Living Experience"
I really liked American House Assisted Living. The living spaces are beautiful, and there are lots of activities for everyone. The dining room is also nice and easy to move around in if you use a walker or wheelchair. The food is surprisingly good. The chef and kitchen staff know what seniors need in their diet and how much they can eat. The environment is pleasant and there's plenty of room to sit. The meal times are fixed, but residents can eat whenever they want during those hours. The cost was fair for the area. Considering everything American House offers, including the apartments, it's a great choice for anyone living there.

I've never been in any other homes for the elderly, so I can't really say how this one stacks up. I'm only judging based on what they promised us when we signed the paperwork and what we're actually getting for the money we're paying.

This place is really nice. The rooms are comfy, and the dining area is pretty. They have stuff to do, and they even take you to nearby doctors.

"Decent Facility, But Far Off and Lacks Ample Visitor Parking"
We found the place to be too distant for us. It's a 3-story building situated on a hilltop. It offers awesome panoramas and the apartments are pretty roomy. There was not enough parking space for visitors. Some shared spaces had too much stuff, although they were clean. The design of the place didn't impress us.

"Beautiful facility with great amenities and friendly staff"
I moved my mother-in-law here a few weeks ago, and I’m really happy with it. The place is beautiful and very clean, and everyone is so friendly. There are lots of great amenities, and the dining room is nice with delicious food. I’m sure she’ll love her new apartment, and I’m glad I picked American House for her.

"A perfect place for Mom!"
I am very happy with the care my mother receives here. The staff is friendly and pays attention to all the residents. She has a nice apartment with a small kitchenette. They take her shopping, and she enjoys all the activities. She loves the Anytime menu, which has a lot of choices, like soups, salads, snacks, and even a Happy Hour for the residents. The memory care area has a separate dining space too. Mom likes the live entertainment and Bible study. This place is a great fit for her.

"Beautiful country setting!"
This community is great at keeping everything clean. The staff has been very friendly and nice to my loved ones. The food was really good until a few weeks ago when they got a new cook, so it could be better. We think this community is beautiful. We chose this place because it has more of a country setting, which is what we wanted.

"American House: Great staff, poor food"
American House is very nice. The staff is super nice and good at their jobs. There are lots of activities for the residents. The only problem is the food. It's often tough, cold, and disappointing. A new chef with some new recipes would be great. Sometimes it seems like the food has been sitting around for too long, so by the time it's served, it's tough and cold.

"Happy and excited for the move!"
We are very happy with the care we have received. Keaton has been so helpful, giving us information about the facility, showing my mother-in-law the different rooms, and answering all our questions. My mother-in-law is moving in at the end of the month, and she is excited about it. We can't wait to see how things go when she gets there.

"Wonderful Place for Mom!"
I needed to find a home for my mother because her short-term memory was making it hard for her to live alone. I looked at many places before choosing American House. The staff, from the leaders to the people who clean and serve meals, are the friendliest, most patient, and kindest I’ve ever met. My mother is having a tough time adjusting to a new place with less space than her home, but they have welcomed her like family. They go out of their way to ensure she attends activities and meals every day. I can’t say enough good things about Keaton Hobbs, who we met during our tour. She is very easy to reach and always answers my questions or concerns right away. I highly recommend American House to anyone looking for a safe and active place for their loved ones!

The Commons of Pretty Pond is a really beautiful and clean place. The staff and everyone in the community treat each other with respect and dignity, and they are very helpful. It's a friendly and respectful community all around.

She has only been there for a month, so it's too early to judge. They had a change in ownership and got struck by lightning, so things have been a little chaotic. It hasn't been bad at all. I think they are a great facility. They pay attention and respond quickly, which is nice.
