"Mixed Feelings About Mom's Assisted Living Facility"

My mom's meals come to her room, not as fresh as the dining room's. I like how it's easy to walk to and has a secure entrance. The layout feels cozy, with small clusters of rooms and scattered living areas. But, it's an older building lacking newer features like better windows and air conditioning.

"Quality Assisted Living with Room for Improvement"

No place is perfect, but after checking out nine assisted living facilities, this one suits my Mom the best. Some common areas could use new carpet and furniture, but the residents' rooms are spotless from what I've seen. The staff is exceptional—we couldn't ask for better. My only concern is weekends; it seems the staff is thin on Saturdays and Sundays. My mom has her meals delivered, so I can't speak to the dining room experience, but they try hard to accommodate preferences. There's plenty of variety, and the staff welcomes feedback. It's an older, small community, but the rooms are spacious with large windows, and the staff is caring.

"Good tour but chose prettier, Angels seemed dingy and sad."

I toured Angels Senior Living, had a good first impression. Chose a prettier community; Angels seemed dingy and sad.

We thought this place was really messy and not worth seeing.

"Caring staff, good meals, and activities for everyone!"

I am happy with the care at this community. The staff are caring and helpful. There's a good variety on the menu, and the staff are willing to adjust meals if needed. They also offer activities for him to join with other residents. I've recommended this place to other families for the great care and value.

"Assisted Living Tour Feedback"

We checked out this place for my relative's care. The staff seemed nice and the residents looked after. But it felt too much like a nursing home, not the best fit for my loved one's comfort.

"Visited: A Look into an Assisted Living Facility"

We visited this place while searching for care options for a family member. The workers here seemed really kind, and the people living here looked well looked after. However, the place felt more like a nursing home than a homey assisted living facility, and I didn't believe it was the best place for my family member.

"Great place for your loved one!"

I can't say enough good things about Adam's House. My dad lived with my family and me in South Carolina for almost seven years. My husband and I noticed he wasn't joining in with us and just watched TV all day. We talked to him about moving to assisted living, and he seemed open to the idea. My brother and sister-in-law found Adam's House just a few minutes from their home. When I toured the place, I was really impressed. The family-style atmosphere stood out to me. Each employee knew every resident and treated them with respect and dignity. Whether I visited on purpose or dropped by unexpectedly, I was always impressed. When I sat with my dad in his room or in a common area, I overheard staff talking to the residents (not knowing I could hear them). I was always impressed by how they treated the residents with love and respect, like adults, not children. This is not true in many other assisted living facilities. One time, I saw a staff member helping a resident pick a movie for the evening. He knew the resident's name and was laughing and joking with him. When I asked how long he had worked there, he told me he was one of the owners! He spends time there himself and organizes monthly BBQs, too! The process of moving my dad in and handling the paperwork was easy to understand. There were no hidden fees or surprises. It was very straightforward. I’m very happy that Adam's House made my dad's transition from our home to theirs so easy. I feel comfortable knowing he's in Florida while I'm living in South Carolina. My only complaint is that I can never get him on the phone because he is so busy, which was why we wanted to move him out of our house in the first place! Adam's House is not just an assisted living facility; it feels like a home with family members taking care of your loved ones like their own.

"Overall, doing a great job with friendly staff and good food"

So far, they are doing a great job. She’s happy and joining in on meals. She’s made some new friends and likes the food. Getting used to having a roommate has been a bit tough. The staff is nice and they’ve been helpful to me.

"Spotless, friendly staff, comfortable and nice rooms!"

Everything is spotless, and the staff is very friendly. The rooms are nice and clean, and the common areas are good. This place is the nicest I’ve seen so far. It’s smaller, which makes it feel more comfortable.

"Great service and helpful staff, including finding special socks"

They’ve been really good so far, helping us with the move. The staff is very helpful. For example, Nancy saw that Dad needed a different type of socks and even told me which store had them since he’s diabetic.
