"Lovely Tour with Friendly Guide at Arbor Terrace!"

The tour was awesome! At Arbor Terrace, they're still finishing up, so we only got to check out one finished room and another one that was still empty. But the outside area looked really nice, and the person showing us around was super nice!

"High Turnover and Insufficient Training in Memory Care Unit"

The assisted and independent living sections on the 2nd and 3rd floors are great. If you're able to walk and take care of yourself while doing your everyday needs, it might be the right place. The Memory care on the first floor is a different story, it's not so good. Despite being kind and loving, it's clear they haven't been trained to deal with all the various needs, especially caring for dementia patients. It's not their fault, it's because the company hasn't given them the right training. I suggest before you decide to place your loved one here, you spend a few days observing on different shifts in the memory care unit. It's tough to keep staff and often there is a high turnover rate.

"Impressive facility, but studio is too small."

The facility and amenities are very impressive. The only available unit is a studio apartment, which is too small.

"Unsuitable Care and Exorbitant Prices at Assisted Living Facility"

While it appears decent, the care at this assisted living facility is far from good. The cost unexpectedly escalated beyond the contracted rates after the facility got sold to another company post the first-year. Staff members leave constantly and we face a staffing shortage. The existing staff, predominantly novices, don't have much expertise in handling dementia patients. There are no registered nurses or doctors present. The basic health status of the resident is rarely documented. Their laundry is often left undone. The provided food is terrible and the rooms are consistently dirty. The carpet is stained, dust isn't cleaned, and toilets aren't maintained. The staff hardly checks on residents, with the exception of meal times. Recreational activities are minimal with almost negligible outings. Due to these shortcomings, many families have resorted to hiring external agencies to provide care for their loved ones.

"Tour and compassion"

We toured this community and really liked it. They didn't have the care level we needed at the time. The staff was nice, and it was beautiful. The menu looked good, and the dining area was nice. The residents seemed happy. We'd recommend this place for the great care and value.

"Improvement Needed for Assisted Living Community"

We're still trying to get settled into this community for my mom. For the most part, she's okay, but there are some things about this place that worry me. The medical team could really use some upgrades. There is a doctor here, but he seems pretty busy. Mom isn't getting the care she should be getting. She complains that the staff take a long time to help when she asks. However, the staff are really kind and are doing their best.

"A Warm and Friendly Place with Lots of Fun Activities"

They have many activities and an app where you can check what your loved one is up to. They even send pictures of them joining in. There’s a happy hour and volunteers come by for events like an Easter egg hunt. The staff are kind, friendly, and helpful. The place is very clean, and you can feel the warmth and care. I’d definitely recommend this community.

"Mixed feelings about the Memory Care Community"

Generally liked it but really wasn't a fan of the Memory Care Community.

"Clean and Comfortable!"

The Arbor Terrace is a nice place to live. Most of the staff are friendly and welcoming. The community stays clean, and our room is comfortable. My only concern is that it took weeks for them to meet my loved one's special mealtime request for their health. Overall, I'd recommend this community to a friend.

"Finally Found a Place to Call Home!"

We really love this place! My family member has found a true home here. They have a great time with both the other residents and the staff, who are super nice and helpful. My loved one is getting involved in lots of fun activities. The room is a good size, and everything is kept really clean. Plus, the property is new and beautiful!

"Need more outdoor activities!"

I had a good tour of Arbor Terrace at Citrus Park. The community seemed well organized, and the guide answered all my questions. It was clean, and the setup was nice. They include meal plans for residents. I didn’t like that there wasn’t much outdoor space. All activities were inside, and there were none outside for residents.

"Wonderful Experience at This Facility"

We couldn’t be happier with this place. My mom has a special diet, and they have been super accommodating. She just started medication management, and everything’s been smooth. The changes in the head of nursing were due to personal health issues, not the facility’s fault. All our requests are handled quickly, and the staff is incredibly nice and helpful. They also have fun events for residents and their families, like a Mardi Gras party with food and music. The residents seem to love them. I saw a comment about no activities, but I get a calendar every month with lots of activities listed. I think it’s more about getting residents to join in.

"Staff Instability and Poor Dining Experiences"

At first, we felt pretty happy with the services provided by the assisted living facility. But we've noticed a lot of changes recently and it's gotten pretty concerning. Seems like they just can't keep their staff around for too long. The head nurse position seems like a revolving door - more individuals have held that job than we've been able to keep track of. Another disappointment was the food. We were told it would all be homemade with fresh ingredients, but let's be real - it tasted awful. Even after they changed chefs twice (I'm not even sure they were real chefs), the food still tasted like something you'd zap in the microwave for a quick dinner. Don't get me started on the dining service either; it's really bad. I just can't understand why it takes half an hour to get our food.

"Peeking Behind the Attractive Exterior: A Disappointing Reality"

Behind the visually appealing exterior lies a tragically inadequate care system. Staff members here are noticeably inexperienced and unqualified for significantly assisting residents needing more medical attention than what is provided. There seems to be a lack of understanding about the various levels of care residents are paying for. The administration of medication was disastrously mishandled. The alarming turnover rate of nursing directors, with three changes in under three months, is quite revealing. The dwellings were left in a filth-ridden state until complaints were filed. Activities are sparse and not properly scheduled, with Bingo being their main form of entertainment. The dining area is severely understaffed, leading to absurdly long waiting times, even for canned soup and sandwich orders. Management seems indifferent to this state of affairs. If considering this facility, I would advise engaging with the residents and sampling a meal in the dining area beforehand.

"Nice place, overall!"

We’re really happy with how things are going at Arbor Terrace. Overall, it’s a nice place with friendly people who do most things well. We did have some issues with the medication service, but they got corrected.
