"Mixed Feelings: Astoria Assisted Living Facility Review"
Astoria is alright, but look elsewhere first. The layout's odd, feels like a motel. When it's raining, you'll need an umbrella to reach the main building.

"Leadership Lacks Communication, Ignores Resident Concerns!"
The place is soon to undergo a management change, and when serious issues come up, no one seems to be able to give any responses. Those who currently hold these roles appear clueless. The worries of the residents don't seem to matter to the next management team. Someone, or maybe even more, needs to attend to these worries fast. It's like there's no follow-through with leadership, which might be due to poor communication from the upcoming management.

"Great care, fun activities, and diverse community at Astoria"
My mother-in-law is really happy at Astoria. The staff are very friendly, and they keep the place nice and clean. There are lots of activities during the day, like bingo. The food is really tasty. There are many military residents, which makes the community diverse, and she enjoys that.

"Astoria Assisted Living Orange Park - 5 Star Review"
It was time to change my mom’s living arrangements, find a safe place, and get the right care for her needs. After weeks of talking to different places and getting lots of advice, we finally found the right place: Astoria Assisted Living in Orange Park, FL. During our first visit, we found the staff and management to be not only professional but also friendly, extremely helpful, and willing to go above and beyond. We were impressed with the amenities, security, medical staff, and daily activities. We made two more visits (one with my mom), and each time we felt more and more like this was home. The staff always has a smile and makes Astoria a very happy place. My mom moved in about six weeks ago and has settled in nicely. She loves the food and the ability to order different menu items. She is starting to enjoy the social aspect of living in a senior community. Since Astoria is centrally located off 295, she has a lot of visitors. We are very happy my mom has found a home at Astoria Assisted Living. It was truly an answer to our prayers!

"A Resort-Like Assisted Living Experience"
Everything’s great! Mom’s a bit shy, but they encourage her to join activities. I love that they’re pet-friendly—Mom’s little dog is welcome. Plus, they have scheduled pet therapy. Astoria feels like a resort, not a nursing home.

"Cozy and pet-friendly assisted living with resort-like atmosphere"
My mom's doing great here. She's kinda shy, but they're getting her involved in activities. I like that they let her bring her dog and have pet therapy sessions. Astoria feels more like a fancy resort than a nursing home.

"Great for basic care, but needs more staff on weekends"
Astoria has a great idea for assisted living. It feels open and not like a nursing home or hospital. The staff is very friendly and really cares about the residents. The residents seem happy and content. My mom likes the food and the people a lot. She has been there almost 2 months and is starting to call it "home." HOWEVER, every resident needs someone to advocate for them, and Astoria is no different. If your loved one needs more care, I wouldn't recommend Astoria. They have very few staff on weekends, making it hard to contact anyone then. They seem to cut corners where they can. Overall, they're a good value compared to other places if your loved one can still speak for themselves a bit and has an advocate.

"Astoria Has a Great Design Concept in Assisted Living"
Astoria has a fantastic design for assisted living. It feels open and nothing like a nursing home or hospital. The staff is friendly, caring, and genuinely concerned about the residents. When you talk to the residents, they appear happy and content. My mother enjoys the food and the company. She's been there almost 2 months and now calls it 'home.' However, like any assisted living facility, Astoria requires an advocate for each resident. If your loved one needs care beyond level 2, I'm unsure if I'd recommend Astoria. They're understaffed on weekends, and reaching someone in the evenings or on weekends can be challenging. It seems they prioritize cost-cutting. Overall, they offer good value as long as your loved one can still communicate somewhat and has an advocate.

"Mixed Feelings on Affordable Assisted Living Experience"
While looking for a good place, I found this one. It's cheaper than others. They give good care for my aunt and lots of fun things for her to do. We had a tasty meal during our visit. But she hasn't called us since moving in.

"Friendly and Helpful Service"
I talked to them on the phone, and they gave me all the info I needed. They even told me about benefits for my dad. They were super friendly and pointed me to other helpful resources. They checked back to see if I made a decision for my dad. In the end, the price and location weren’t right for us.

I'm really happy with the care my brother gets here. The staff is very caring and always available to help him. I like that this community is nice, and I'm glad he enjoys the meals. I visit him when I can, and it’s comforting to know he is well cared for. I would recommend this community to other families.
