"Assisted Living Provides Comfort and Community for Independent Living"

Due to a bad fall and muscle problems, I couldn't handle a big house anymore. I checked out different places. Vitality Living had great reviews and was affordable for what they offer. The staff is really friendly and nice. Everything is kept very clean. The food is good too. The hardest part for me is not being able to have deep talks with many of the other people living here. My issue is mainly with walking without a walker, not my mind. But I manage because I can still drive and see my friends and family. All in all, I'm getting used to it and keeping my freedom.

"Happy Mom, Great Place!"

Everyone is super nice and helpful. The place is always well-maintained, and there are tons of fun activities. The dining room offers a great variety of food, and it’s a lovely spot to sit. My mom’s apartment makes her happy, even though she sometimes feels lonely. It’s a mystery how she’s never reachable by phone—she’s always somewhere else! Overall, we’re really pleased.

"High Costs for Outside Assistance Led to Facility Change"

My family member stayed at Vitality Living Spring Hill. We faced an issue where they needed someone with them all the time. Paying for this extra help cost a lot every day. It was too much for us financially. So, we had to find a different place for them to live.

"Extra Costs, No Diabetic Care, Price Increase"

From what we’ve seen at Vitality Living Spring Hill, you have to pay more for everything. They don’t offer help with weight control for people with diabetes, and there’s a ton of pasta to eat. Plus, the cost is higher than it was last year.

"Great for active seniors but lacks one-on-one care options."

The staff are really nice and it's a good place for people who like to do things. The building is very pretty, especially the heated pool. However, if someone needs more personal help, they might not get it here. I also think they might not have enough staff.

"No Falls at Home"

My wife stayed at this assisted living facility for a little while. They only had one staff member in the evenings for the 15 residents. Unfortunately, my wife ended up going to the ER five times during her short stay. When I talked to them, they explained that it’s standard procedure to send patients to the ER after a fall. However, my wife insists she falls even when she doesn’t. Maybe that’s just part of her Dementia. She’s been back home with me for several months now, and thankfully, no falls.

"Good care and support for mom adjusting to Atria"

The staff at Atria are really good. They keep mom's room clean and are helping her adjust to living here. They assist her with her medication. The food is pretty good. I would recommend this place.

"Amazing care and beautiful community"

The staff takes great care of my aunt. They always encourage her to join the daily activities. We love the food, and there are plenty of options to choose from. The grounds are beautiful with a pool, hot tub, and a putting green. There’s also a lovely fountain in front where you can sit and relax. The apartments and hallways are always super clean. This place looks like a five-star hotel, and I would definitely recommend it.

"Staff Changes and Overwork Made Stay Unpleasant"

We stayed there for about 10 months and it just wasn't a good fit. The level of care switched up and they couldn't meet the care needs anymore. I noticed a lot of changes and a high rate of staff quitting. There was too much sass from the techs. The workers were always complaining about not having enough help and being worked too hard. That was a bad sign. Things weren't like this when we first got there.

"Awesome Place, Great Staff"

Atria Evergreen Woods is an amazing place! My father-in-law lives here. The entire staff and residents made him feel welcome and comfortable in his new home. The staff are always happy, friendly, and eager to help. They have many activities to keep residents busy and always encourage participation. The menu offers a large selection of food. I've been there many times and am always amazed. From the front desk to the maintenance staff, cleaning staff, caregivers, and everyone in between, they are all amazing people who truly love their job. I hope when I need a place like this, I'll have the same incredible people around me!

We are happy with my mom's move to this place. She is safe and getting good care. My brother visits her the most, and he says everything is going well. The community is clean, and the staff is nice. She is doing well, and I would recommend this place. It is a nice community.

"Pleasantly Pleased"

We’ve been impressed with everything about this facility and the staff since our father moved in. Everyone is friendly, caring, and knows all the residents by name and their preferences. The food is good, too. There are lots of activities every day, so he is more active than at home.

"I felt comfortable leaving my 94-year-old mother there"

I moved my mother to Atria, and my impression was positive. The staff assured me she'd receive necessary care, including medication management and meal follow-ups. The food is excellent, and her apartment is quiet. My only concern is the electrical outlets. Overall, I feel comfortable leaving my 94-year-old mother

"Great Tour Experience"

I had a really good tour of this place. Everything looked really nice. You could tell they do a good job keeping it clean. The staff was nice and helpful. They answered all my questions. The prices were too high for me, but my tour was really good. This place is really nice.

"Great Place, But a Bit Pricey"

I took a nice tour of this place and everyone was really nice and willing to help. The place looked good and well taken care of. We chose to go somewhere else in the end, but they still offered their help. We were thinking a lot about what we could afford when we were deciding where my mom should live. Their prices were a bit too much for us. Overall, it was a good tour and this is a great place.

"Feels like a cruise!"

My parents just moved into assisted living at Atria. They say it feels like being on a cruise with great food, friendly people, and tons of activities. The staff is super helpful and nice. Their one-bedroom deluxe apartment has plenty of space for their favorite furniture. They're really happy, which makes me feel so relieved.

"Great Community for Mom, with Wonderful Care Staff"

My mom is doing great at this place. I'm really happy with what they've done for us. She's settled in nicely and loves it here. The people taking care of her are really nice and good at their jobs. I had some problems with the office when we first moved in, but the people who help with her care are fantastic. They have fun things for the residents to do if they want. Mom loves the food too, it's really good. This was the right place for her, and I think others would like it too.

"Looks good until your loved ones have problems"

When my parents first moved into Atria Evergreen Woods, things looked pretty decent. My mom was staying in the independent living section and my dad was in memory care. The folks there who looked after my dad were really nice to him and my mom. But then, bad things started. My dad got these painful sores on his lower body. He started getting kind of aggressive when they had to clean him up. Now, he was taking medication for being aggresive, but he wasn't snappy until he got these sores. Anyway, the folk at Cedar Wood decided that my dad needed a different kind of medication, but they didn't even think about the sores he had. Before the new medication could even work, they sent my dad (against all our wishes) to a psychiatric hospital. They moved an 85-year-old Alzheimer's patient to a place that simply wasn't meant for people with memory issues. My dad was lost and confused, he had no chance of talking to the staff. My mom, they let her say goodbye to him only because they needed her to give them some of my dad's info. The next day though, he got moved again to a regular hospital because of pneumonia that Cedar Wood hadn't even noticed. Thankfully, the hospital psychiatrist stopped the psychiatric hospital treatment, but it was too late. My dad stayed in the hospital for two weeks and didn't really bounce back from the whole situation. He passed away six weeks later. When he left Cedar Wood because of the psychiatric episode, he could walk and eat with a little help. By the time I saw him in the hospital, he was barely awake. And guess what? It was the hospital people who told me about my dad's painful sores. No wonder he was so grouchy. It took the hospital two weeks to heal those sores that Cedar Wood care had caused. And because of those, they had sent him to psychiatric treatment, making it super hard to find a care place that would take him afterward. As for mom on the independent side, it was nice until she got this nasty flu. Some places in the facility had been quarantined, but they didn't look after her like I thought they would. They'd bring breakfast and wouldn't come back 'til 7 at night. When I called to ask what they do when a resident gets sick, they claimed they provide meal assistance. What a joke. I had to push the facility's marketing director to get mom soup and a drink on two separate days. So all in all, it looks like a good place to live, until your loved ones run into any kind of trouble.

"When I First Saw It, I Thought, "This Is the Place!""

I toured here when looking for options. When I first saw it, I thought, "This is the place!" I really liked it a lot. It was one of my top two choices. I spoke to one of my mom's nurses, and she said she would have chosen the other one, so we did. If I could choose again, I might pick this one.

"Mom loves her new home!"

Finding a new home for Mom was a tough journey through many senior living places. After visiting 21 facilities, we narrowed it down to three and took Mom to see them. Mom fell in love with the Atria facility, the staff, and the other residents. The staff made her move as easy as possible, and everyone there has made her feel at home. She says she wishes she had done this sooner. I’m really impressed with the care and concern shown by all the employees, no matter what their job is. From the front office to maintenance, they all show genuine care for each resident, which is truly appreciated.

"The best place for Mom"

I visited several senior living homes recommended by A Place for Mom, and I feel that Atria at Evergreen Woods in Spring Hill, Florida, was the nicest and cleanest. The people there were very friendly, which is what I want for my 92-year-old mom. I believe she will be happy and do well there. The price was similar to other places, just a bit more, but it’s worth it for the quality.

"Felt warm and comfortable"

After looking at several other places nearby, this was the last one on our list. I have to say, it was a pleasant surprise. The facility felt cozy and inviting compared to some of the other spots we visited. The person we met with was friendly and informative. They really wanted to get to know us. Initially, it was for a parent's respite stay. Everyone there knew the residents' names, which was impressive. The grounds were beautiful, well-maintained, and they had great dining facilities, a pool area, and special events. Their activity list seemed endless! The residents we met were happy and friendly. They even had a happy hour! Definitely worth checking out. When we walked in, it felt like a second home for our parents.

"Unfulfilled Promises and Poor Security: A Bad Experience!"

My relatives had some serious privacy concerns at this place. Without any heads-up, the staff would just come into their living quarters. The food wasn't good at all. At first, the employees seemed super nice and willing to help out, but that changed after a few days. We were worried about the lack of security - the back door stayed unlocked and anyone could get in very late. My family resided in a rear building and that made safety important. Plus, their dining area was so far from the main kitchen that their meals were normally cold by the time they got them. And some of the food options available in the main dining room weren't even offered to them. All these supposed commitments to improve stuff around their apartment were just left hanging. It turned out to be a pretty awful experience for my mom and dad.

"Great place with friendly staff and good food overall"

Atria Evergreen Woods has done a great job so far! The place is nice and clean, and the staff are friendly and professional. They treat all the residents with a lot of respect, which is really important. The food in the assisted living and independent living areas is fantastic, although the food in the memory section seems a bit more basic.

"Friendly staff, good atmosphere, with room for improvement"

The staff here is really friendly and the place is very clean. She gets enough food, but sometimes when we buy a meal, they're out of half the items and don’t offer replacements. The food quality is okay, about a four out of five. There’s always something happening, and they do a good job keeping the residents interested with lots of activities. However, they could improve housekeeping; they don’t throw away garbage unless it’s in the can. The same goes for laundry—they won’t take clothes unless they’re in the hamper. We liked how clean the place is and how everyone treats each other and us. The atmosphere is positive; you won’t pass by an employee who isn’t smiling or talking to you.

"Wonderful and Friendly Place"

It's a wonderful place. Very clean and extremely friendly. Worth the price for the great job they do. They're very responsive with a good variety of activities. The food is plentiful and of good quality. No complaints. We heard it was nice and liked it from the interview.

"Peace of mind with caring staff and great activities."

My parents are in their 80s and needed Assisted Living care. I toured several places, and Atria Evergreen Woods was my top choice. The staff is super caring, attentive, and quick to notice any changes in care. They really get to know the residents and their families. I get updates often, so I know how mom and dad are doing. It gives me peace of mind knowing they’re safe and well cared for. Atria Evergreen Woods offers different levels of care, including Memory Care. I highly recommend taking a tour! The meals and snacks have plenty of options. The activities are fun, both mentally and physically, with something for everyone. Birthdays and holidays are celebrated. The residents are treated with respect and encouraged to stay as independent as possible. I’m totally at ease knowing my parents are in good hands.

"Compassionate Care At Its Best"

My mother has been living at Atria Evergreen Woods for the past 5 years, and we can't say enough about the amazing care she’s gotten from the staff. Just last week, we celebrated her 99th birthday by the pool at the facility. The staff went above and beyond, helping with everything from choosing food and drinks to decorating and setting up. They happily made sure we had everything we needed. This just adds to the great service we've seen over the years from the nursing staff, front desk, dining staff, and administration. Recently, we had to increase Mom's level of care, and the staff guided us every step of the way. Their compassion during this tough time has been incredible, helping us find ways to keep Mom comfortable. Thank you so much.

This was a nice place. The staff were friendly, and it was always clean and well-kept. However, when my loved one needed to go to the hospital, we told them which hospital to take her to, but they sent her to a different one. Overall, it was a good place, but that mistake was not okay, so we moved her to another facility.

"Caring Staff and Activities at Older Assisted Living Facility"

Pretty well-run place. Workers seem to truly care about people living there, and everyone's super nice. They do a good job treating folk with kindness and respect. This place has a lot of different stuff to do, and it seemed like most people were taking part instead of just staying in their rooms. There are three parts to this place — a place for folks who can still take care of themselves pretty well, a place for folks who need some help, and a place for folks who need a lot of help because of their memory. There seemed to be a good balance of staff to people living there. The place isn't new, but it's kept in good shape. There's not a lot of places around here for memory care, but we think our mom will get the help she needs here.

"Amazing Care and Compassion for Residents"

Everything is great at this facility. I could never find another staff as kind and caring as they are. They really take good care of my mother. Even though she isn’t doing well right now, they try to help her get to the dining room and socialize. I work full time, so I can’t care for her like they do. She’s always clean, her hair is combed, and she’s dressed nicely. They even take her to the hairdresser. They truly do their best. The value is clear; whenever I visit, her hair is brushed, her room is tidy, and she’s not just in her pajamas. Even the cleaning staff knows the residents' names and treats them with respect, always making an extra effort to know what they like.

"Got a Call with Pricing for Different Services Offered"

Got a call from the boss of the place. You gotta pay for it yourself. They look after you for a break for $135 a day. If you need help living, it's $1,495 a month. And if you've got problems with your memory, it's $3,870 a month. They can do the look-after-you-for-a-break thing for up to 3 weeks.
