"The Best Fit for My Friend"
When my friend toured some communities, he was impressed with the staff here. They were the best fit for him. The atmosphere is nice, with many older people. They are either independent or need a little help. He has been doing well since moving in and is settling in nicely. He enjoys the community, and the staff is really nice and welcoming. I like them too. They are all very helpful and easy to work with. If I have questions, it is easy to talk with the director, marketing person, or any staff member. I would recommend them.

"Great Staff, Incessant Billing Issues Hamper Recommendation"
My move to this assisted living community has been okay. I feel like they try to squeeze every penny out of me. I keep finding hidden fees I wasn't told about added to my bill. The staff here is fantastic though. They're always willing to help and very nice. The place is kept clean and they offer fun activities. The food they serve is also pretty good. But with all the billing problems, I can't really recommend this place right now.

I checked out this place for my mom and her requirements. A lot of things affected where I'd choose for her new home. The tour was alright, but I didn't feel like this was the right spot for us in the end.

"Mixed Feelings About [Removed] Assisted Living Facility"
[Removed] was really good! The place was nice overall, but it needed more relaxing outdoor spots. There weren't any peaceful areas, which was a downside. It seemed like the community was more for people who could still drive themselves around. Some of the prices for extra things were a bit too high for me, but it's still a pretty nice place.

"Great meals and activities for residents!"
I'm very happy with this community and all they've done for my mom. They're honestly the best, and this place is perfect for her. The chef does an excellent job preparing healthy, balanced meals every week. I'm also impressed with the activities and events they offer. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

"Mother-in-Law Thriving in this Community"
My mother-in-law loves being here. It's a wonderful place! We're happy with everything they've done. She's doing much better. The food is delicious, and she's even gained weight. She really likes the meals. They offer lots of activities for everyone. Overall, it's been great for us here, and I'd suggest it.

"Great Place for Dad!"
Dad is still getting used to living at Brookdale. The staff are nice. This is a small, recently renovated community. They have daily activities and lots of trips out. The food is a little bland, but they offer a variety and unlimited dining all day. I would recommend this community.

We just moved Mom and Dad to Horizon. The move has been great! The staff have really welcomed us. The place is beautiful, and the food is tasty.

"Happy with our choice!"
Horizon Bay felt perfect from my first visit. We needed an assisted living place for my mother-in-law. After visiting several places, we toured Horizon Bay. Even though they are renovating, the facility is clean and well-kept. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The restaurant-style dining is a great feature. My mother-in-law often says, "If I can't be in my own home, this is a very nice place." We're happy if she's happy!

"Friendly Staff and Good Care"
This place was one of the ones we checked out during our search. It felt nice, but more like a nursing home. It was a bit pricier too. They had a full nursing staff available 24/7. If you're after a nursing home vibe, it's a solid choice. The staff was friendly, and the care was good. However, it wasn't quite what we were looking for.

"Cash Hungry with Poor Care Services"
This place is terrible! It's really hard to get any updates or action taken. They bragged about providing medicine but their care services weren't up to par. They were eager to accept my family member back from rehab, but the rehab center insisted on them doing a thorough check first. After the check, they decided they couldn't bring her back. It's clear they only cared about the cash!

"It's wonderful here!"
It's wonderful here! The food is much better than Ridgecrest. This place is perfect for us. The staff is outstanding and very good to us. We're having some trouble with our insurance, but we're not leaving because it's a good place.

"Best choice for Mom!"
Horizon Bay was the first place I checked for my mother-in-law. I was so impressed that I rushed home to have a family meeting. The rest of my family thought we should keep looking for a better deal. So, I searched and searched, and Horizon Bay really was the best value with the most complete services. We moved my mother-in-law in a week later, and we couldn't be happier with our choice.

"Mixed Feelings on Staff Performance and Administration"
The facility has different staff categories such as the janitors and aides. I must say, the folks who work there from Monday to Friday are excellent, but their weekend counterparts leave a lot to be desired. We've experienced issues with a certain nurse who isn't particularly pleasant when administering my mom's meds. For the significant monthly fee, a little more respect would be appreciated. We've also encountered issues with their paperwork follow-up - quite frustrating. Things have finally been ironed out, but after quite a long stay. The place maintains cleanliness and offers plenty of activities, which I highly regard.

"“This place is very clean. No other place has that!”"
This place is super clean, and there are no bad smells. The staff is really friendly, and even though the rooms are small, they’re still nice. They offer all the usual activities, and the outdoor courtyard has a big BBQ grill! During the summer, they have frequent barbecues, which is great. The prices are reasonable, and there are 83 rooms. But the most unique thing? Their dining room opens at 7:30 am and stays open all day. Residents can eat any meal whenever they want—even breakfast at 4 in the afternoon! How cool is that? No other place does that!

The price is good, but I'm having personal problems and money issues. The first month has been nice, but I'm struggling a bit with adjusting because of my problems. I'm happy with what Horizon Bay provides and excited to join their activities.
