"Pleasant Place with Upcoming Management Change"
Discovery Commons felt cozy, like home. They were called something else when we visited and told us they'd be getting new managers soon. That made us think twice because they mentioned it wouldn't impact the folks living there, but you can't be too sure. The building's a bit on the older side but it's still really nice.

"Great care and safety for loved ones during the pandemic"
This place is really nice for family members. The staff is amazing and really cares. The activities person even sends me pictures of my mom when I can't visit. They are doing everything to keep my mom safe during the pandemic. Even if I don't always like it, I know she is well taken care of and safe, and that's what counts.

"Perfect new home for Mom"
We took our mom to check out an assisted living facility. It was even better than she expected. The staff were super friendly and introduced her to some of the residents. Her room was bigger than we thought, but it wasn't furnished, so we'll need to go shopping. There seemed to be activities every day and both the staff and residents looked happy. It had a very positive vibe. I think she's going to love her new home there and we're just 5 miles away.

"Warm Welcome: Great Tour, Lots of Amenities, But Not Quite Right"
We went on a really cool tour where the staff showed us around patiently and answered all our questions. The place is super nice with lots of stuff for the people who live there. But we don't think our mom needs as much help as they give. Still, we'd tell other people about this place for sure.

"Toured, friendly staff, clean facility"
I toured this community while searching for respite care for my loved one. The place was clean and well-kept, and the staff I met were friendly and professional. Although we chose a different community, I would have considered this one for my loved one.

"A Great Community with Room for Improvement"
They're currently updating their staff, including bringing in a new director. Overall, this is a nice community. The food is great like what you'd get in a good restaurant. It's plentiful, balanced, and offers two choices. I appreciate that they show residents in memory care what their food options are. The wait staff is friendly, and the dining setup is well-organized. However, they don’t have an alarm system for when a resident falls or gets out of bed. They do have a caring and skilled team to help with residents' needs. Some areas could use improvement, like activities for men and communication between the marketing and administration teams. Most activities seem to be geared toward women, so having movies or games for men would be nice. Also, the marketing team might tell you one thing to encourage you to move in, but then the administration team might change things later.

"Atria San Pablo is a great place!"
We have only been here a week, but my mom loves Atria San Pablo. The place is smaller than some other communities, giving it a cozy feel. The staff is very kind and friendly. The other residents have really gone out of their way to help Mom feel at home, especially after losing my stepfather and moving from her house. I really appreciate the help with transportation to dialysis. I’ve had about four meals here, and they have been tasty. I think we are here to stay.

"A Wonderful Experience"
It's great! I haven't encountered any problems. The smaller size suits me, and the activities are enjoyable. Amy keeps things lively. My only wish is for a bit more personal attention and time.

"Assisted Living Care Review"
Mixed Feelings, Adequate Care, Lack of Stimulation. My grandma's doing okay, but her memory's a bit shaky. The doctor insists she needs memory care, but she's still sharp in some ways. She's not thrilled with the other residents, feeling they're not on the same page. The staff takes good care of her, but she's in between needing more and getting enough. It's a secure place, which we wanted. Overall, I'm satisfied. They keep us informed.

"Good Staff, Working Out Communication Issues"
The only issue I have is communication problems, but they’re being sorted out. I chose this place because it's close to where I live. We also looked at a couple of other places and liked the staff's attitude better here.

"Ex-Relatives Disappointed with Secluded, Small Elderly Home"
My ex-relatives simply didn't enjoy this place one bit. Right from the start and separately, they had a negative vibe about it. They couldn't pinpoint exactly why, but they just weren't fans. I believe it's because the place felt kinda cut-off from everything. There were no bustling areas nearby. Plus, it's quite a small home.

"Expensive"
The assisted living facility was nice. There were many positive aspects to it. However, my mother decided to leave mostly due to the high cost.

"Excellent Care and Supportive Staff"
My wife has lived in the "Life Guidance / Memory Care" unit at Atria San Pablo for 16 months. The care is outstanding. The staff is very responsive to her needs and accommodating to our family. The Director of the facility is involved and welcomes feedback from family members. Everything is done “first class.” There are many planned activities and special events for residents and family to enjoy together. The staff's dedication to the residents is clear. They do a great job.
