"Unfair Treatment at Atria Park: Family Member Exhungated Unjustly"

If you're considering Atria Park, reach out to me first. My husband was just settling in when the director notified me that he'd allegedly hit someone, and I needed to take him away. They claimed to have video evidence and told me I had only two days to clear his room, or face a fee!! After persistently asking for a fortnight, my sons finally received a copy of the video. It showed my husband hadn't done anything wrong - another man had instigated the incident!!!!! The other guy was a retired deputy so they kicked out my husband!! You won’t catch me recommending that facility!!!

"Terrible and Costly Experience at Atria Park's Memory Care"

Our time in Atria Park at St. Joseph's Memory Care was completely unsatisfactory and pricey. In case your loved one exhibits challenging behaviors due to dementia or Alzheimer's - our petite, 85-year-old mom with diabetes and mid-stage Alzheimer’s had an unknown urinary tract infection (UTI) when we moved her in. This caused her to become disoriented and upset, even hitting a staff member twice. We knew this wasn't normal behavior for her, so we sent her to the hospital where she needed IV antibiotics. We were then told she needed one-on-one care, and signed on with a company recommended by the staff. They put her on anti-psychotic meds to calm her, prescribing three different drugs. Unfortunately, this caused low blood pressure, slowed heart rate, and extreme tiredness; she even passed out twice. I wasn't notified about the first time it happened, and I was there the second time it occurred. When we urgently needed a nurse, the staff members couldn’t find one because he was working in the Assisted Living section and they didn’t have a way to contact him.

"Atria Park Tour Review"

The tour at Atria Park was okay. It's a newer place, so the staff are fairly new too. But everyone was really friendly. I mostly wanted Mom to stay close to her friends, which is important.

"Encouraging Assisted Living with a 4-Star Rating"

Atria Park feels like a big, friendly family. The staff treats residents well, and we're comfortable with our loved one here. They're on level one care, handling basic needs and medication. Our only wish is that staff would encourage them to join activities and eat in the dining hall more consistently. Overall, we give it 4 stars.
