"“Mixed Feelings About Azalea Gardens”"
I visited Azalea Gardens, and it seemed nice. The outdoor area was my favorite. But since my loved one doesn’t like going outside much, and the community was far away, we chose a different place.

"Pleasant Community with Outdoor Appeal"
I visited Azalea Gardens, and I found it to be a pleasant community. The outdoor area stood out to me. However, since my loved one isn't keen on going outside, and the location felt too distant, we chose a better-suited place.

"A Wonderful Place to Be"
This is a nice place to be. The landscaping is good, not too much, and the staff is very helpful and answers questions.

"So far... just great!"
This is our third try, and it’s been the charm! Alzheimer's clients are outside all day, being stimulated and supervised constantly. The facility has a central courtyard with a large gazebo for activities and socializing. It's the only place in South Florida with a strong focus on client comfort and quality of life. Other places have gardens, but they often restrict access once supervision is needed, keeping residents inside cold TV rooms. Here, there are regular outings three times a week to parks, events, and stores. Staff work outside, promoting well-being and comfort. No inappropriate behavior from staff here, unlike other places. The owner, an engineer, created an "outdoor paradise" with individualized rooms, fine dining, and an open kitchen, ensuring dignity for all. Honesty, transparency, creativity, and engaging activities are just a few of the owner's values that make this place a top-notch facility in South Florida and the country. If you want your loved ones to have care, comfort, and dignity, choose Azalea Gardens. So far... just great!

"Disheartening visit to Azalea Gardens Assisted Living Facility"
I recently visited Azalea Gardens, considering it for my mom's assisted living. As soon as I stepped through the iron gate, there was an overwhelming smell of urine. This foul scent wasn't just outdoors, it even filled the main office. While waiting to chat with the person in charge, a resident wandered in. She smelt strongly of feces and obviously needed a bath. She also seemed utterly lost, walking around in circles. A staff member only came to assist her after she'd been aimlessly wandering for about ten minutes. I couldn't help but notice the employees seemed more focused on their own chats than on caring for the residents. There was only one worker, who looked to be Latina, who was actively looking after the residents. Before my visit, I had read some online reviews that painted Azalea Gardens in a positive light. However, seeing the state of the residents, I can't believe they were able to write these reviews. Most seemed either disoriented or showed signs of Alzheimer's, leading me to question their ability to use a computer for posting a review. This place needs deep cleaning and repairs to even qualify for a single star rating. It's a heartbreaking situation.

" "Strong odors, poor attention to residents define Azalea Gardens" "
Visited Azalea Gardens to consider it for my mom recently, but was appalled from the second I set foot in it. As I passed through the entrance, an obvious and sharp smell of urine was noticed all over the gardens and into the main office. As I was waiting to talk to the manager, a 'resident' wandered in who smelled intensely of feces. Clearly, she needed a wash, but the poor lady seemed confused and was just wandering aimlessly. It was a good ten minutes before a staff member finally approached her and guided her out. While observing, it looked like the staff was more into chatting with each other instead of tending to their residents, with only one who seemed to be Latina, genuinely looking out for them. Before my visit, I saw the reviews online and they seemed very positive, but after experiencing it myself, there's no way those residents could've written them let alone navigate a computer, as most seemed mentally absent or possibly with Alzheimer's. Honestly, this place needs a big clean-up and some repairs before it can even dream of a single star. Truly, a heartbreaking sight.

"Distressed Residents and Uncaring Staff at Sad, Smelly Facility"
Showed up unannounced, good thing too because what I saw was tragic. The place stunk, residents were down in the dumps and seemed without hope. The staff seemed like they were there just for the paycheck and didn't seem to care. Didn't feel safe or comforting at all. Just seeing it made me stressed, almighty, I would never let someone I care about stay in a place like that.

"Unexpected Visit Reveals Uncaring, Sad Assisted Living Facility"
I showed up unannounced and I'm glad I did because I got to see what this place is really like...It's depressing, there's a stench, and the people there look so sad and hopeless. I felt the staff were only there for their paychecks, there was no sense that anyone cared. It didn't seem safe or loving. I wouldn't dream of letting a family member stay in a place like that.

"Secure and Friendly Environment, But Not Right For Mom"
This place has many buildings. The doors open to the outdoors. It's gated and feels safe. The people living here seem happy and friendly, but they don't move around as much as my mom, so Azalea Gardens isn't the best choice for her right now. The staff is really nice and helpful.

"Residents All Together Nice"
Everyone at the assisted living facility is friendly, and they've kept the same employees for a long time. The entrance fee is high, and there's a pricey enrichment program, but the shower seat is the best I've seen.

"Not Quite Assisted Living: More of a Memory Care Facility"
This place is more like a memory care facility. It has a lovely outdoor area and a secured entrance. May not suit everyone.
