"Bayside Nightmare: Unkept Promises, Double Charges, and Declining Care Quality"
Bayside turned out to be a total disaster. The room wasn't cleaned when we moved in, and some things needed fixing, even though they had a month before we were supposed to arrive. All the staff that was there when we got here have left - people are leaving all the time. They made us pay for things they didn't do, costing us 3k in half a year, with no offer to make things right. They charged us twice for one month and that made us get bank fees - they didn't pay us back. No one replied to our emails or phone calls. We reported them to the BBB and they didn't even respond. They don't have any in-house physical therapy and since they're not paying their providers, the quality of care is going downhill and isn't okay.

"Disappointing Assisted Living Facility Fails Residents' Needs"
The place is old, not enough workers, food's bad, not much to do, and it feels sad. They've been fixing pipes in the memory care part for months now, making people move from their rooms and eating spots. It's like they don't care about how bad it is for people living there.

"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
The assisted living facility had only one elevator, and there was an unpleasant smell. It wasn’t suitable for my loved one, although one staff member was friendly.

"Concerning layout and unhappy residents at Assisted Living Facility"
When we visited, the dining room was quiet with no interactions among the residents. They all seemed unhappy. We noticed that some of the one-bedroom apartments had two doors leading to the corridor, which freaked us out a bit. On the bright side, the staff we met were friendly.

"Troublesome Med Techs Neglect Residents' Needs"
Many med techs seem to be there just for the job. They don't take residents in memory care outside. My loved one always struggled with meds, which were often found in his room or pocket. Eye drops were rarely administered.

"Clean and Friendly Assisted Living"
The staff is friendly and helpful, and the place is clean. They could use more help in the med tech positions. Overall, we recommend Bayside Terrace to other families.

"Assisted Living Review: Bayside Shows Improvement but Room for Growth"
Overall, Bayside is a significant upgrade from my previous experience, which was dismal. I rate it 4 stars because there's always room for improvement, like my writing skills. More activities could be offered, and they should be longer; sometimes scheduled times are cut short. One issue is with the kitchen and dining room: while the food is generally good, cleanup delays and the weight of the dishes and glasses are problematic. Staff workload seems heavy, akin to waitresses managing multiple tables in restaurants nowadays.

"Frustrating Lack of Communication from Assisted Living Facility Staff"
I was drawn to this assisted living facility at first. I toured it and even talked to a marketer about potentially moving into a one-person room. She promised that she would have a discussion with her numbers savvy partner and that she would get back to me next week. Unfortunately, she never did, despite me trying to contact her several times. When I did finally reach her, I was told that there were not enough paying residents so I would be put on a waiting list. I did what she instructed, but she was "on a call" when I tried reaching her. I left my number for her to call me back but she never did. Now, three weeks have passed and I'm still hearing nothing from her. I'm annoyed! I followed her instructions to call back and yet she still never returned my calls. How frustrating!

"Poor Conditions at Assisted Living Home Despite Price"
I wouldn't dare let my mom stay at this place. Even though its prices match other places, the rooms are only half as big. The building is run-down but the new owner is trying to fix it up. The public bathrooms only have two stalls and were missing toilet paper. One stall didn't even have a door. To make matters worse, there was poop in the corner of one of the stalls.

"Mom is in Good Hands Here"
So far, things are going well for my mom since she moved to this community. I feel good about her being here; she's in good hands. The staff is great and they take good care of her. The place is nice and clean when I visit. They serve good meals and have lots of activities for the residents. I'd definitely recommend this community; it's working out well for us.

"Cozy Care with Amenities!"
Imagine cozy studio rooms, like mini condos, but without a kitchen—just a mini-fridge. They serve meals restaurant-style, and they offer care at all levels. Plus, there's a bus for appointments and outings, even trips to the YMCA. Housekeeping happens once a week, and they have three nurses on staff Monday through Friday. Oh, and there's an on-site hair salon!

"The Best They Could Do"
This place doesn't have enough staff, but they're trying their best. Housekeeping needs improvement, though. The food is good with lots of choices. The memory care dining room isn't as nice as the assisted living one. They're lacking activities, but at least there's a secure yard for residents to go outside. Overall, it's about as good as you'll find for the money.

"Disappointed by Changes"
The first time we toured this property, we liked it. The second time, we had lunch scheduled. As soon as we walked in, the smell of urine hit us. The bathroom off the lobby was filthy. Something had seriously changed. The carpet in the hallways was dirty. It looked and smelled completely different. We didn't stay for lunch. Very disappointed, as this property is close to my home and would have been great for Mom.

"Making the most out of their resources"
It's doing okay, as far as these things go. In my opinion, they're really making the most out of what they got. They just got a new person in charge of planning activities, so that should make things more exciting around here. The workers here are nice and they seem to always give it their all. It's not the priciest out there, so I suppose you'll get the value of what you're spending.

"A great option for memory care residents!"
I was in a hurry to find a place for my Mom's husband after she passed away. He has dementia and couldn't stay at home. A Place for Mom gave me five options. Bayside Terrace was perfect and affordable. The staff is responsive, and the atmosphere is friendly, bright, upbeat, and clean. They provide the care he needs.

"Thumbs Down for Bayside Terrace"
Our time at Bayside Terrace was pretty bad, honestly. I can’t say I'd tell anyone else to go there given what happened. It seemed like they didn't have enough workers, and they didn't keep a good enough watch on my mom. Plus, the place wasn't clean. The bathroom stunk all the time.

"A WONDERFUL PLACE"
I checked out a few places with Kathy from A Place for Mom. When I got to Bayside Terrace, I knew right away from the friendly staff and clean place that it was right for my aunt. The building is being redone, and my aunt is in a brand-new room with a wonderful roommate. She stays busy calling Bingo. When I call, everyone is so nice and puts her on the phone. She always tells me she's fine, so I don't worry. I had many sleepless nights until I found this place. I highly recommend Bayside Terrace for your loved one.

"Long wait for help, uneasy management at Bayside Terrace"
Our time at Bayside Terrace wasn't that good. Someone we care about was staying there on her own, but she fell and couldn't get to her call button. She was on the floor for around 7 hours before anyone found her. Afterwards, talking to the managers was pretty weird. They really didn't want to accept blame for what happened. We ended up taking her out of there after all this happened.

"Total letdown for my mom's assisted living!"
My mom's been living at this place for just over a month, and it's been one problem after another. They told me they'd help her with her insulin, but they still make her do it herself. They'd said they'd help her get to know the place in the first few weeks, but they didn't. My mom struggles with incontinence, and I asked if they could empty her garbage every day to avoid any bad smells, but they won't do it. They claimed that a pro chef makes the meals, but that's not true. I could go on, but I think you get the message. It's not a good place to let any family member live!

"Great value and caring staff for assisted living!"
The staff I've seen are great. Overall, you get good value for your money here. It's priced lower than many other assisted living places. My mom has a private room since her roommate isn’t here, and it’s half the price. Doctors come in, so she doesn’t have to go out, which we really appreciate. My mom used to work here as a private caregiver and chose to move here when she retired.

" Dark and Dingy with Unhappy Residents"
Don't even think about this place! It was absolutely dim and gloomy. It seemed like the folks there were not enjoying life at all. It was like a gathering of sad, elderly individuals. As for the care, good luck finding a staff member in sight. The building itself was below par. It had a downright depressing aura.
