" "Resident's Anguished Complaint About Misleading Senior Facility""
I don't get who from A Place for Mom came to see this place, but they were fooled. This place doesn't have a pool or a computer room or any water fountains in front of the buildings. They're showing you these things but they aren't real. A Place for Mom rated it 6.2. As a resident, I'd give it only 2.2. This is a one-star facility. The staff here are downright rude, full of themselves, and arrogant. It seems like they make it especially hard to get your meds on time, or even the right ones. I wouldn't tell anyone to move into one of these places. It's honestly the worst decision I've ever made. They hoodwinked me, making me think there would be a pool, pool table, and computer room. But that's all nonsense - we don't have any of this stuff for you. The only thing you get is a ride to Walmart once a week on Wednesdays. 6.2 rating, what a joke. You're lucky if I give it 1.2. Living here is my worst mistake ever. This place is like living in ruins.

""Inappropriate Employee Comments & Neglectful Care at Assisted Living Facility""
I overheard the maintenance guy, whose name I won't mention, comparing the residents to leather. I guess he would look the same if he lives long enough! This place seems rundown, almost collapsing. To make matters worse, some aides have the audacity to harshly reprimand the residents during their smoke and phone breaks! I strongly discourage anyone from putting their loved ones here.

"Brentwood Retirement Community Review"
My family member lives at Brentwood Retirement Community and it's been really good. The place is very clean and the people are friendly! The staff, care, food, and things to do are all good! I think it's a good place for family and friends to consider.

"Deplorable living conditions, poor care, and high costs at facility."
This place is TERRIBLE. The buildings are covered in mold and there's no property maintenance. The food is inedible, so I had to bring meals for my mom. I wouldn't advise anyone to send their loved ones there, whether they need assistance or not. The kitchen and dining area lack air conditioning most of the time. There are zero activities and the staff never stays for long. I wouldn't even consider sending my dog to this place. The wait-list to get in costs a ridiculous amount of money, and once paid, they don't seem to care anymore. I even saw someone without medical training give a prescription to a client. This is a rough spot for assisted living.

"Needs Improvement: Assisted Living Facility Review"
The outside looks bad, needs fixing. Landscaping is messy. Inside, unsure about food, but not many activities. Upset pool's closed. One-bedroom apartment's alright. Staff is friendly but short-handed. It's cheap and near.

"Mixed Experience at Brentwood Assisted Living"
Brentwood has some nice workers, but I’d look elsewhere first. They took forever to fix things we asked about, sometimes they didn’t fix them until we moved our family member out.

"Tour Frustration at Assisted Living Facility"
Our family had a scheduled in-person tour, but it took us over 20 minutes driving around the community and area, and we still couldn’t find the office. There were no phone numbers to call for directors, no signs—nothing. So we decided to cancel the tour; it was just not a good experience from the start.

"Great care, good start more food variety needed."
The community is really nice. I’m glad to see she’s being well cared for and is getting used to her new home. I definitely recommend this place to others. The only thing that could be better is having more food choices.

"Chose Not to Stay, Facility Extremely Run-Down"
I chose not to live there. The facility is horribly run-down.

"Cozy and Welcoming Assisted Living in a Charming Community"
We really liked the place. It's in a nice spot, not far from town, and it's in a quiet neighborhood. The folks there were friendly and ready to lend a hand. The apartments were big and cozy. People were active, doing stuff together. Each apartment even had its own little porch. It's not super fancy, but it feels good and safe.

"A Decent Tour"
The staff we met during our tour of this community were friendly. The place is older, but it looked tidy. The dining room felt small, which was disappointing. Overall, I suggest checking it out to see if it suits your loved one.

"Calm and Active Assisted Living with Great Leadership"
This place has a nice, calm environment but still has enough activities to keep people socially active. It's small enough that you get personal attention if you need it. It's easy to find your way around. I was impressed with the director and her vision for the place.

"Working Through Challenges with Medication Errors"
We are still working through a bunch of issues. The initial month and a half have been tough. I noticed a handful of mistakes they have done this month in terms of medications. They hired an outside firm and lacked accurate information, which turned into a challenge.

"Brentwood Assisted Living Offers Great Alternatives"
Brentwood Assisted Living is a nice option instead of a nursing home. They serve meals like you'd get in a restaurant, which are mostly tasty. There's a big common area for residents to hang out, so they don't have to be stuck in their rooms. The staff is usually very caring and quick to help out. Overall, it's a good place.

"Great place for Dad! Happy with care, activities, and independence."
My sister and I liked the place where Dad stays. He's happy there, and that's important. He can do a lot by himself but still has someone to help him. Overall, we're really happy.

"Reasonable and Easy to Work With"
So far, it's been pretty good. They're really reasonable and easy to work with. They use Vangarrd pharmacy, but sometimes the medication takes a while to come through, and their organization isn't the best. Crystal Petrucci, the marketing director, does a really nice job. The food is okay—neither terrible nor great.

"It's a nice community, and she's happy there now."
It's a nice community, and my mother is happy there now. She's made the adjustment well. The place is clean, and the people are really nice. Compared to other places we looked at, it’s a good value. Whenever she has a problem or question, they are always right there to help. They are working on adding more activities. My mother is very independent, but they focus more on people who use walkers or wheelchairs. They don’t have many activities outside; they only have one van now. They used to have three, and they take you to the grocery store or department store. They bring in people for activities, but there aren’t tours or trips to restaurants. The food is good, but since the restaurant changed hands, the quality has dropped a bit. The location was a big factor for us. It’s nice, clean, and gated at night, creating a nice atmosphere. Overall, my mother is very happy, and she has adjusted well. Everything is included in the rent—cable, phone, coffee, and donuts in the morning, and lunch has 3-4 choices.

The care is great. They’re doing a good job. My mom is in assisted living, and my dad is in rehab. The rehab is really good; I like the care they provide. The food is excellent.
