"Brookdale Bayshore: A Great Choice for Assisted Living"
My family member lives at Brookdale Bayshore, and everything has been great for her here. I'd suggest it to others seeking Assisted Living care.

"Assisted Living Facility Review: Dad Happy, Staff Friendly, Renovations Underway"
In my opinion, they're making necessary changes like new windows and interior updates. What matters most is my dad's happiness and care, which is excellent here. Staff are kind and seem to love their work. Appearance isn't top priority.

"Assisted Living Facility Falls Short, Needs Improvement"
My mom got really sick for 3 months, but when I asked the nurse at to help, she didn't. Mom had to go to the hospital for 4 months! I saw other people there had the same problem. I think the germy buttons and door handles made it worse. Mom's room was dirty, so I had to clean it. If it wasn't for the nice receptionist, I'd give them zero stars.

"Assisted Living Facility Needs Better Monitoring and Communication"
My family and our loved one didn't have a great time here. The place looked clean whenever we visited. But in the Assisted Living section, the residents weren't watched closely enough. Sometimes they skipped meals for days and nobody noticed. And the staff didn't always make sure the residents took their medicine. We suggest asking lots of questions to make sure you get all the answers you need.

"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
While our family member stayed there, they struggled to maintain enough staff. The staff members were friendly, but the director avoided us when we had questions or concerns. Unfortunately, the care provided fell short of our expectations. On a positive note, our loved one enjoyed the meals and activities. However, they didn't consistently receive their medication.

"Mixed Feelings on Assisted Living Facility"
This assisted living place might be okay, but it's expensive. The food is sometimes bland and sometimes good for residents. They have activities like chatting with others, bingo, and more for residents to pick from.

"Expensive Assisted Living Facility Falls Short on Promises and Service"
When we first viewed this place, it was incredibly spotless and stunningly beautiful, but it had a high price tag. Even though we paid all of the necessary fees, the room for our loved one was still under construction when we tried to move her in, lacking paint on the walls or flooring - it looked as if it needed another three weeks of work. They offered to relocate our loved one to a different, more independent room on the 12th floor. We had already given this facility thousands of dollars, yet our family member unfortunately passed away before ever stepping foot into her new home. The icing on the cake was when we came to retrieve her furniture and found the elevator was out of service. They advised us to let the furniture stay until the elevator was repaired. But instead of a call to pick up the items, we received a bill for leaving the furniture. Aside from money concerns, the staff members were friendly, but their kindness felt insincere, seemingly motivated by our payments. The care services were great, but like a la carte menu, you had to pay extra for any additional help, such as laundry service.

"Nice amenities and spacious rooms, but pool is closed"
They have exercise classes, book clubs, and even cocktail hours. On special days, they give small gifts to residents. They have a swimming pool, but it's closed right now. Due to COVID, meals are delivered to our rooms, but it's fine for now. Our two-bedroom room is pretty spacious. They offer a variety of room options.

"Avoid Brookdale Bayshore: Inadequate Care and False Promises"
Please, anyone who reads this, do not send your loved ones to Brookdale Bayshore. My family initially talked to Brookdale to help us with our older family member. We spoke to the Health and Wellness Director She told us that Brookdale Bayshore was a 'semi-skilled' nursing home and said everything we wanted to hear. also said that this place helps with all daily life activities. THIS IS NOT TRUE. THIS PLACE DOESN'T HAVE ANY KIND OF SKILLED NURSING. THEY GIVE NO HELP FOR EVERYDAY LIFE. Brookdale Bayshore does not properly take care of patients and doesn't have the right tools to provide good care. It looks like the last thing Brookdale Bayshore cares about is making their patients better.

"Unresponsive and understaffed facility provides sub-par care"
My mother in law has been here since 2015. This place can't keep hold of its staff, even the nursing director and the executive director. The help here is always too thin on the ground. They don't answer phone calls. Even though we've had heaps of meetings and we're paying for the top-tier care, they can't even manage to give us the basic stuff we're paying for. It's been a disaster and we're working on moving her out.

"Great place with friendly staff and beautiful views"
Our family is really pleased with Mom's time at Brookdale Bayshore. Her room is modern and easy for her to get around with her walker. We enjoy the beautiful view of Tampa Bay from the big windows. The staff is very friendly and takes care of us well. There are lots of activities planned every day. The dining hall has a menu like a restaurant with many choices at mealtime. This is a lovely place, and Mom is very happy here.

"Shocking Conditions at Assisted Living Facility"
I attended their health fair as a vendor on 6/16/2017. I couldn't find a spot to park my car, then was informed by the receptionist upon arrival that I didn't have a table set up. Another vendor shared that she was constantly being moved around, indicating a distinct lack of organization. I chatted with numerous residents who expressed significant dissatisfaction with their living conditions. They complained about repeatedly broken elevators, frequent instances of lost laundry, and long waits - as much as an hour - for assistance when they requested it, including after falls and for restrooms, issues with the bus schedule, not to mention subpar meals. Their dreadful experiences seemed to mirror my own unimpressive visit. Appalling!

" "Brookdale's Negligence: Poor Care, Maintenance, and Activities""
Avoid Brookdale at all costs. They have single tables which mean lonely seniors end up eating on their own - it's heartbreaking. They don't manage health needs properly - blood pressure can skyrocket and the nurses don't follow up properly with doctors or additional check-ups. They also don't monitor medication charts, allowing for needless meds to be continued. The facility's maintenance is terrible - we had instances of linoleums in rooms and bathrooms folding up, and despite our complaints, nothing was done. There's a resident who has a stressed-out dog that's eating its own fur, and no one seems to care. The elevators are unreliable, stranding seniors for hours. And with over 300 residents using two small elevators to access 12 floors, the wait is unbearable. The air conditioning often fails to cool resident rooms, common areas and the elevators. The food is all processed and not homemade, pretty much garbage from US Food Group. There's not much to engage residents - minimal activities, hardly any trips out. The boredom is palpable. There are far better places out there that actually take care of the seniors. Good luck!

"Happy Residents in Clean Facility"
We really like it. She's super happy there. It's still a pretty new experience, but so far, she hasn't had any complaints. The place is clean, and the staff is very helpful. Maybe management could improve the administrative side of things, but overall, it's good. They come to clean her room and change her bedding once a week, and everything seems to be going well.

"Assisted Living Facility Provides Good Care for Residents"
My mom's doing well here. They take good care of her and her needs. The place is clean and tidy. Most of the staff are nice. They offer fun activities. The food's healthy and tasty. I feel she's safe and cared for. I'd suggest this place.

"Attentive Staff!!"
My mother has only good things to say about the staff and care she's receiving. The housekeeping team is very attentive to her room and the rest of the facility, keeping it clean and well-maintained. She has no complaints about the food and enjoys the company of other residents.

"Mixed Care Levels and Layout Not Suitable for Mom's Needs"
Our guide was really good at explaining everything, like activities, discounts, and payment options. She even followed up with us later. But I didn't like how the place was set up. My mom would have to use an elevator, and there's no way to keep track of residents. Since my mom needs help to not get lost, that's a big concern. Plus, I wasn't a fan of how they mix independent living, assisted living, and nursing care. It just wasn't the right fit for my mom.

"Nice place, overall"
Our experience with Brookdale Bayshore has been very good! Renee, who helped us with the move-in, did an outstanding job! The facility is well-kept and clean inside. The care and maintenance staff do a great job. The food is decent too! It's a nice place overall, and I recommend them.

"Comfortable, Safe, but Pricey Assisted Living with Room for Improvement"
The Brookdale Bayshore is a really nice, comfy, safe, and watchful place. However, it's quite expensive, not cheap at all. You should know it's on the pricier side. The money people could be better at their job. They're a bit slow at fixing mistakes. I believe the folks in charge could pay more attention. Apart from those things, it's been fine. The location and parking are good. I'd suggest this place.

"Nice looking place"
The person who showed us around was super friendly and told us a lot of useful stuff. She answered all my mother-in-law's questions, and we got a really thorough tour of the place. They even gave us some packets with more info. The dining room worker was also really nice. My mother-in-law liked the water view from there, but she thought they needed more outdoor space. We peeked into a couple of residents' rooms, but they were too small for what we wanted. The community seemed a bit old-fashioned but clean. Overall, my mother-in-law wasn't a fan. She's looking for something more high-end.

We haven't had much time there, only a week or two, because of my loved one's health problems. But our experience with them so far has been really good. We're keeping her spot, hoping to spend more time there. They've been very helpful in working with us.

Loving Family
"I haven't had the chance to visit her..."
I haven't visited yet, but my family says it's beautiful and clean! I've talked to the staff a lot, and they've been great with my concerns. They really take care of things. They pay a lot of attention to the residents, and there are lots of activities and field trips. It's expensive, but there's a lot of overhead and staff, so you know what you're paying for. I plan on having my loved one come back! It's a good fit, and for being picky, if she likes it, then we like it!

"We really liked this community"
We really liked this community. The people were very nice and the place was clean and beautiful. We seriously considered it, but it was more independent than we needed. There just wasn't enough security for our needs.

"A Caring Home for My Mother’s Golden Years"
Grand Court Tampa gives me everything I want for my mother’s happiness, safety, and care as she enjoys her "golden years." Every time we walk in, the friendly people at the front desk make us feel like we are visiting a family member’s home. I highly recommend Grand Court Tampa!
