"Poor Food and Lack of Activities at Assisted Living Facility"
My dad was only there for a short time. The nurses did their job well but the food was terrible and there were barely any activities to do. These things matter a lot. I won't suggest it to anyone.

"Feels like home with friendly, caring staff"
I like the people who work here. They are nice and caring. I enjoy the morning exercise and walks during the day. The food is good too. It's smaller here, but I like that. It feels more like home to me.

I am very happy with the care here. The staff is friendly, nice, and helpful. The food could be better. I haven't joined any activities yet because I just moved in, but I'm looking forward to making friends.

"Feels like home: Great care, fun activities, cozy ambiance at Brookdale."
I moved here because of the hurricane with no family in Florida. Brookdale feels like home now. The staff is really good to me, and they take great care of me. I especially enjoy the activities like bingo. The front living room with the fireplace and Christmas decorations is my favorite place to read.

"Activities Lacked, But Overall Recommend"
Our mom found it disappointing and boring after the activities director left. Still, we’d recommend this community to other families.

"Home-like but Older Building with Fewer Activities"
Brookdale Cape Coral is smaller and feels more like home, but it's an older building that is well-kept. There's not much outdoor space, and they don't have many activities. The management is very kind, and it's close to us, but it's on a very busy street. I didn't see many residents outside their rooms. It's less expensive and made our top four choices.

"Friendly Staff and Cozy Atmosphere"
This smaller assisted living facility has around 45 residents. The single-story layout seemed pleasant, and I’ll definitely consider it. The staff knew everyone by name.

This place is pretty great, and the workers showed us around really well, answering all our questions. They have loads of extras for the folks who live here, and we suggest you check out their tour.

""Mom Couldn't Qualify, But Still Recommend""
My mom couldn't move into this community because she didn't qualify for the help she needed. The place was really well-kept and had lots of cool stuff for the residents. I would tell other people to check it out.

"Great Care and Comfort for Loved Ones!"
My mom can't see well and has trouble hearing. She uses a rollator to move around. Brookdale has a small group of very caring staff and friendly residents. Everyone was so nice when Mom moved in. The building feels cozy with a fireplace and small tables for meals, so Mom could talk with her meal buddies. The maintenance guy came to her room several times to make sure everything was perfect, always smiling. The staff make it feel like they're working in your home, not just at their job. I really think this place is great!

"A Better Fit for Her Situation"
Our first impression of Brookdale CC was excellent, and we are confident we made a good decision. The staff is always helpful and [Removed] seems very happy. Although her stay here has just begun, everything seems brighter, cleaner, more organized, and a better fit for [Removed]'s situation.

"Skyrocketing prices, declining care: A total letdown"
I had to shift my loved one from this care home. The care and services fell off dramatically. It looks like the bosses are more about cash than compassion. The place even got infested with bed bugs, but they didn't bother to alert any of us. Such a letdown.

"A Homey Haven for Assisted Living Needs"
My folks had a tough time at Gulf Coast Village, but they found happiness at Brookdale. The vibe is super friendly, meals taste homemade, and their apartment feels cozy. Brookdale’s size is just right – not too big, not too small. The staff gives top-notch care, really tailored to my parents' needs. I'd totally suggest this spot for anyone looking after their parents.

"They are truly amazing!!"
They are truly amazing! When we arrived, she was doing pretty well. The staff really bonded with her, and she loved them too. They have taken excellent care of her. When we needed hospice, Sterling House worked with them perfectly. They hug her, kiss her, and tell her how wonderful she is, helping her feel at peace in her last days. The place is clean and beautiful, and the staff is marvelous. They are very responsive, and it seems they really know how to hire great people. It feels very homey, and I noticed a lot of interaction between staff and residents during my tour. I tried to give one staff member a tip, but they said they cannot accept tips. Instead, they let you contribute to the staff holiday party.

"Negative Reviews: Disappointment at Sterling House"
We really didn't have a good time at Sterling House. I wouldn't say this is a place for anyone. We had to shift my dad to a new place from this facility. After leaving, I got to hear more from residents in the vicinity. They all had negative things to say about Sterling House. I wish I already knew this before we got my dad in there at all.

"Avoid This Facility: Profit-driven, Heartless Care Lacks Compassion"
My mother was a resident here for one full year. I do not recommend this place unless you have someone who can constantly be there to monitor the care. There is a clear emphasis on financial gain over genuine care at this facility. The administrative staff, specifically the executive director and the health and wellness head, seem primarily driven by monetary interests. The evening staff lack proper certification and can't provide even basic care, such as oxygen assistance for residents who might need it during the night. Dietary needs are also overlooked; no specific meal plans are offered for medical conditions like diabetes. My mom's dietary requirement was mishandled to the point where her sugar level spiked to 500. Despite my constant involvement over several months and paying extra, my mother was given less food rather than a properly balanced diet. Be wary of their sales pitch, most of the promises they make during initial talks are false. The lack of personal recognition and connection between staff and residents was also striking. The executive director and the health and wellness director didn't seem to know those they were responsible for, by name. Payment is a fundamental concern of this place right from the moment you walk in, with equally disappointing experiences afterwards. My mother's admission was delayed until I was able to rush down and settle the bill, even leaving her in the hospital alone. They even had the audacity to present me with a year-old bill after my mother passed away on April 21st. The entire experience reflected a world where money overrules compassion and humanity. I would strongly advise against relying on this place for your loved ones.

"Windsor Outshines in Comparison"
This place felt dreary, like everyone was sick or passing away. It certainly wasn't bright and friendly like the Windsor. My girlfriend worked here, and she vouched for its goodness, but in comparison, Windsor undoubtedly has a better ambiance.

"Less welcoming, hospital-like, same price as better option"
This place doesn't feel very welcoming. It looks more like a hospital or a nursing home instead of an assisted living facility. The price was almost the same as The Windsor, but The Windsor is definitely much better. It's really no contest.

"Nurse Saves Loved One at Sterling House"
The people at Sterling House of Cape Coral really cared. One day, a nurse there saved my loved one's life. Without the nurse, my loved one might not have made it. I'm glad they have trained medical staff here. Lisa from A Place For Mom helped me find Sterling House; her kindness meant a lot.
