"Positive Experience at Brookdale Conway Assisted Living Facility"
My loved one lives at Brookdale Conway and everything has been really good for her there. The staff is friendly and helpful. The facility is clean, and the care services, meals, and activities are all good. One thing that could be improved is clearer communication about contracts and payment start dates. Despite that, I would recommend Brookdale Conway to others.

"Needs Renovation"
The assisted living facility seemed old. The room we saw was terrible, but the director was okay, and the staff were friendly. Remodeling is needed.

"Assisted Living Facility Falls Short in Meeting Extra Care Needs"
The place seemed okay when I talked to everyone there. Everything was fine, but it didn't match what my loved one needed. She needed more help, which ended up costing us a lot extra. At night, there were only four aides for a lot of people with different physical needs. I talked to some other people living there, and they seemed okay. It just didn't quite fit what we needed.

"Staff Shortage Affects Quality"
They could use more staff, which has been a bit of an issue. The existing staff is excellent; they just need additional support.

Watch out for price hikes. They keep raising the cost every other month. Staff and care are good, though.

"Some Improvements Needed"
We picked Brookdale because it’s close by, which helps if I need to get there quickly. But they should check on the residents more often. The staff in the halls are too loud, and that’s not respectful to the residents. Communication with the administrative staff can be tricky. In shared rooms, residents can have pets, but I think pet owners should get private rooms. They need security cameras to catch any wandering residents or thefts. On weekends, there aren’t enough medical techs or nurses for the 20 residents. Despite this, I’d still recommend them, but some changes are needed.

"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
Our family member really enjoys living there, and she considers it her home. However, we've encountered a few problems with the staff. It seems like they might be short-staffed because they haven't been putting on her brace or applying the necessary ointment for her leg. Additionally, there have been issues with sending her prescription to the correct location.

"Everyone is treated with respect!"
Brookdale Conway has been amazing. The community is clean, and the staff is always friendly and helpful. They take the time to get to know everyone, and I’m really impressed by how they treat all the residents. Everyone is treated with respect, which is fantastic. The administrative staff has also been great. They are very supportive and easy to work with. I love that the community is in such a convenient spot. It’s only about a mile away, so it’s easy for me to visit often. I would definitely recommend Brookdale Conway to other families.

"Assisted Living Review: New Staff, Good Space, Price Concerns"
I visited this assisted living place and spoke with a new salesperson. They didn't have much info, but I sent them an email with questions. One good thing is they don't make people help with moving around, which I liked. The prices are based on what you choose, which I'm not thrilled about. The place was clean, with wide hallways and rooms that were a good size. It felt more like a place for rehab, but that's okay. And they have a good ratio of caregivers to patients, which is really great.

"Friendly Kitchen Head Unable to Answer All Queries"
We were unable to meet the sales director and instead got a tour of the facility from who's in charge of meals and the kitchen. Unfortunately, he couldn't answer all of our extra questions. However, [Removed] was really nice and did well showing us the place.

"Great Tour, But Not the Right Fit"
This is a really nice assisted living community. The staff did a great job during my tour. They showed me around and answered all my questions. I just felt it wasn’t the right place for me, but it’s worth a visit to see for yourself.

"My Tour: Assisted Living Community"
This place seemed really nice and tidy when I went there. The folks I met were friendly, and they had some activities going on every day. But it's more geared toward assisted living, and my dad wanted a livelier, independent community.

"Clean and Friendly, But Needs Better Assessment and Activities"
The Pros: 1. The facility is clean (no unpleasant urine odors) 2. The staff members are friendly The Cons: 1. The initial health check-up failed to correctly identify medical needs and, more importantly, the costs associated with those needs. 2. The planned activities don't appear as beneficial or as engaging as they are promoted to be. Despite the calendar appearing full of events, many of them don't occur or aren't as enjoyable as presented. 3. Their rules and regulations are pretty strict, which takes away from the overall experience. This isn't really ideal when dealing with a family member in health care.

"Friendly Staff, Clean Facilities, Tasty Food Worth a Visit"
My friend lives here, and I visit a lot. The staff is always friendly and welcoming. The rooms and the whole place are clean, and there are no bad smells. I got to join in on some meals and music activities. The food was tasty and there were plenty of choices. The staff seems to do a lot of different tasks, and you often see the same people in the dining room, doing laundry, and taking care of the residents. I would definitely recommend this place to others.

"Assisted Living Facility Felt Like a Nursing Home"
I was pretty unhappy when I found out this place only had single rooms. I really wanted my mom and dad to stay together in the same room. To me, it felt more like a nursing home rather than an assisted living facility. Overall, the place just didn't feel right for my parents.

"Immediate Changes Needed in Resident Care and Cleanliness"
My experience with this assisted living facility has not been great. The attention given to the residents' needs has been frustratingly slow. When alerts are made through the call system, it often goes unanswered for a long time. Even when staff members are visibly not occupied, response times can stretch over an hour. While upper management is active and trying to solve problems, their efforts don't seem to be enough. On a positive note, there are regular activities that are well-organized. The facility overall is clean, but they drop the ball when it comes to the cleanliness of residents' rooms. The beds are not made daily and oftentimes soiled linens are reused. Therefore, if you're considering placing a loved one here, plan to visit often to ensure they're adequately cared for.

"Let Down by Poor Hygiene and Care"
Went to see my friend who just had his lunch. There was a really strong smell of pee in his room. His room was not clean at all, there was soil from a plant scattered on the floor for about two to three inches, but no plant was in sight. The person who changes the bed didn't bother to clean the floor either. My friend can't control his bladder and pays for extra care, but they still left him sitting in his pee-soaked shorts, even though he was wearing special pads.

"Subpar Care Makes Assistance Home Wrong Choice"
Our experience with this place hasn't been great. My buddy isn't being properly cared for. They said they know how to care for dementia patients but they struggle with him. He often loses his stuff. They didn't bathe or shave him on his first week. I admit, they keep the surroundings clean and the staff work hard. The manager is doing what she can to help us out. But sadly, this place just isn't right for us.

"Great Improvements and Friendly Staff"
This is an update to my November 2015 review. The facility has a new administrator who is very proactive. Many changes have been made for the better. The remodel is finished, and the facility is always clean. The staff is friendly and most seem genuinely interested in the residents. There are many activities available to residents throughout the day.

"Unsatisfied With Brookdale Conway's Evening Care and Management"
Brookdale Conway has been disappointing. I had to make a late-night visit to switch out my mom's colonoscopy bag. I've even had to hire a personal aide for her. On one occasion, the aid pressed the emergency button and nobody responded. When she went to find a staff member, she found one ignoring the alarm and watching TV. As a nurse practitioner, I expect more diligence. For now, I'm bearing with it. The daytime staff is great, especially the LPNs. If the evening care improved, that'd be even better. Needing faster responses is clear. The manager is often absent, having to supervise two facilities. It's unsettling to think of elderly residents left alone all night. We've got to stand up for them. They're charging top dollar, but the care quality doesn't match. For now, I'm hoping for improvement.

"Smooth Transition and Helpful Staff"
Moving a senior to a new place always has its challenges. This facility has worked hard with me and my family to make the move as smooth as possible. The staff is always around and really helpful. I would definitely recommend this place. As someone who works in healthcare, I’m pretty tough to please.

"Preferred community; director appreciated; alternate placement disappointing; better experience anticipated."
We really liked this place. They told us to go somewhere else because they didn’t have any space here. That didn’t work out so great. The boss here was really nice, though. We think if we had been able to stay here, things would have been a lot better.

"Decent Assisted Living Close to Home"
The place was decent—close to home and perhaps better for her. It wasn't fancy, but it was clean, and the director was helpful. His own family member lives there, so that's a personal endorsement.

"Clean and Caring Assisted Living with Helpful Staff"
This place is really nice and organized. The people who work here are helpful. It's close to home and super clean. They have physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy available. The staff you can call for help are great. The meals they serve are nutritious. They even offer group therapy for family members. And their memory care unit is excellent.

"Amazing Staff and Cozy, Private Rooms"
The community is only about 5 minutes from my home, which is really convenient for our family. When I visit, I enjoy chatting with the residents, and they always seem really happy. The staff here works incredibly hard to make everything great. If you have a concern, they will address it and make any needed changes. They check on everyone every two hours to make sure all the residents are well cared for. The semi-private rooms still offer plenty of privacy, with a wall separating each room, but there’s always someone nearby. The lounges are very nice and a great place to sit and talk with residents. We are very happy with Emeritus and would recommend it to anyone.

""Visited and Found it Expensive, Unimpressed with Staff Responsiveness""
Visited this place. It's too expensive for my Dad. Wasn't happy with the guide, Lisa. A resident said to Lisa she hadn't gotten her medicine for the day. She said it would be there soon, then brushed her off quickly.
