"Mom Approved Assisted Living"
My mom liked this place. They took good care of her, checked on her often, and were nice. We moved her in right away.

"Clean and caring assisted living with helpful staff, good value."
The place was super clean, and they took really good care of my family member. The people who worked there were nice and always made sure to check on them. They were really helpful whenever I needed anything, and they were willing to listen and help with whatever I asked. Just make sure you talk to them about any special needs your loved one might have. Overall, it was a good deal for the money.

"Mixed feelings about Landmark"
Landmark Assisted Living: A Mixed Bag My relative lives at Landmark, but we're not entirely satisfied. They've run out of my family member's medications three days in a row, which is risky. When he needs help, the staff takes too long to respond. Meals are far apart, and they don't cater to dietary needs. On the bright side, there are activities and friendly staff, but Landmark falls short overall.

"The Landmark: Less Clean Than Others"
The Landmark didn't really impress me. It wasn't as tidy as the other places I've seen.

"Active and Modern Community with Excellent Accessibility"
This community was really clean. It seemed like it was more for younger people than older folks. They had activities happening all the time. The building is brand new and easy for handicapped people to get around in.

"Seeking More Active Assisted Living Option"
Our family member is really healthy for her age. We thought that The Landmark seemed better for folks who aren’t as healthy as she is. It seemed more like a place for people with many health problems, kind of like a nursing home. We wanted to find a spot where she could do more things and hang out with people.

"Friendly Assisted Living with Room for Improvement"
We've mostly enjoyed our time at the Landmark. It's nice that we can visit our loved ones. Our only issue is that they seem understaffed, maybe because of the pandemic. It'd be better if staff could video chat with families more often, like once a week per resident. As they add more activities and open up, things should improve. Overall, it's clean, and the food is great. They offer a menu for residents to choose from.

"The Landmark: Excellent Service and Spacious Rooms"
We picked The Landmark because the first person we talked to was great. Everything was well-organized, and they helped us through the process. The rooms are spacious compared to other places we considered. Communication has been good, and we'd recommend them.

"Great care and friendly staff"
The tour here was great. The staff are super nice and really care. The dining area looked good, even though we didn't eat there. The residents seem happy with the care they're getting. We liked this place a lot, but we wanted somewhere closer to home. We definitely recommend other families check this place out for their loved ones.

"Great staff, but no 1-bedroom units"
We toured with my parents, who really liked the place. The owner was awesome and the staff were very friendly. We got a full tour and felt safe and comfy. Sadly, they only have bigger studio rooms, no 1-bedroom units. We needed a 1-bedroom, so we couldn't choose this place.

"I Would Recommend This Community"
So far, everything is going well since my aunt moved to this community. It is a nice place, and I'm happy with her move here. She is safe and well cared for. The layout is very nice, and they keep the place clean. It has been a good experience, and I would recommend this facility.

"Mom's Safe Respite Stay"
My mom stayed here for 2 weeks for a respite visit. She liked the meals, even though she didn't join the outings and activities. The staff kept her safe and took good care of her. Everything went smoothly with no issues. I'd likely use their services again.

"Lovely Community with Caring Staff"
I visited this community, and it’s really nice. The staff is great and truly cares about the residents. However, it didn’t feel quite as welcoming to me as some other places. Still, I would recommend it to other families!

"Toured, Appealing Place"
We visited this place when we were considering care options for a family member. Brookdale Countryside looked really nice, with an upscale and friendly atmosphere. The staff seemed professional. However, it didn't quite match what our loved one needed.

"Very pleasant place with caring staff!"
Everything is going well for my uncle since he moved to Brookdale Countryside. He is adjusting nicely, and I have no complaints. He has had his eyes and ears checked, and he even got a haircut. It is expensive, but so are other places. We visit him at least four times a week, and being close by was one of our main reasons for choosing this place. It feels very pleasant, not like a nursing home at all, and it doesn’t feel depressing. There are many activities he can join in on when he wants. When he doesn't participate, the staff checks on him to make sure he is okay. They provide three meals a day, which he says is a bit much for him, so he sometimes only has two meals. They also offer apples and other fruit if the residents don’t want a full meal. The meal sizes are good and tasty. It’s also close to the hospital if he ever needs it.

"Food Is Poor"
I really like this place. My experience has been super positive. The staff is amazing. But, there’s one problem: the food. It doesn’t meet my standards. Also, some staff members could do better with patient care and cleanliness. But honestly, the food is the biggest issue.

"Warm Community, Needs a Dash of Improvement"
When we first checked out the place, we thought it looked nice. The people living there and some workers were super friendly. They told us how much it costs for the room, food, rides, and all the utilities except for the caregiving part. My folks are trying to get VA benefits, so they have to use at least two services there. I had to talk a few times with the nursing boss and also with Amy in the office to make sure my parents got a discount for moving into Brookdale Clearwater. Right now, I see they’re changing a lot of the staff, which I hope will make the food and rides better. There are some awesome folks there, like Rita at the front desk who gets stuff done, and the aides Ceelee, Chantelle, and Yanis. Helen from housekeeping is super sweet, and Stephen, the new guy in the office, is doing a good job. I really like Caroline for her upbeat vibe and Lorraine in the hair salon. My mom loves her server Leonora in the dining area, but my dad just wants his meals hot. The place is clean, but I think when you ask someone to do something, they should write it down so they don’t forget. We walked in the garden, and the covered spot could use a deep clean. I also wish we didn’t have to walk through the smoking area to get there.

"Communication and Staffing Need Improvement"
The place is nice, and my aunt really likes it, but there are some issues. They told us one thing and then it turned out to be different. Also, my aunt mentioned they don’t have enough cleaning staff to keep her room clean. I like the facility, but I wasn’t happy with the staff.

"Unpleasant experience: Poor Facility Management, High Staff Turnover"
My mom was frequently left in a soaked state. They often left her in her room, causing her to miss meals. She would be sitting in her room, alone and wet. Used diapers were carelessly littered on tables and ground. The employee turnover rate was high. The experienced workers were dismissed and replaced with untrained youngsters. This facility is strictly for independent living, and they will try to force you out if you require more care. Concerning sharing medical information, they aren't supposed to disclose anything, but in my situation, they disclosed incorrect info, making the moving process more complicated because of these false details. This facility's management is terrible!

"Feeling Right at Home"
We really liked Brookdale Countryside. They helped us get our loved one settled in quickly, and she felt very welcome. The activities director did a great job making her feel at home. We can’t think of anything they could have done better. Even though it was an adjustment, they were friendly and helpful.

"Mom's Two-Week Stay Marred by Scabies and Poor Food"
My mom spent two weeks at this care center. Sadly, it didn't work out as we hoped. She caught scabies. She also didn't enjoy the meals. We chose a different place for her in the end. We're hopeful for better results there.

"Good place, but could improve activities and hair management."
They have activities, but they could add more options. They go on a lot of outings, but many residents have dementia, so it would be great to have activities for those who can't play board games. The food is pretty good, but there are a lot of sandwiches. The chef will make anything they want, but the waitstaff often just brings sandwiches without asking if they'd like something different. It would be nice if they asked more often. They have a hairstylist, which is great. I take my mom and pay cash for her haircuts. However, I wish there was a way to manage her appointments better because I got an unexpected bill. Since she has dementia, she can’t keep track of it.

"Great Staff and Caring Environment"
They have been really great! The only thing is the food – my dad complains it’s either chicken or fish all the time, not much variety. But the staff is awesome. They all know my dad and are wonderful to him. He’s in assisted living and has his own apartment with a kitchenette. As soon as we saw Freedom Inn, we knew it was the right place.
