Brookdale Eau Gallie

"Solid Choice for Assisted Living"
This place has been pretty good overall, and I don't have any complaints. I really like the people I've met here. The staff in charge has changed a lot, though, which makes me wonder. My loved one is picky about food, but the meals seem alright. They offer an exercise class that my loved one enjoys, and that makes me happy. I think I'd tell my family and friends about this place.

"Great care and fun activities in a clean facility"
Brookdale Eau Gallie is a really nice Assisted Living Facility. My mom lived there for about 4 years, and everyone on the staff was so friendly. It’s a big place with around 80 beds. The director was very professional, and all the caregivers were super patient. The facility itself was excellent and always clean. The rooms were beautifully decorated, and we were able to make her room feel like home; they even used it as a model because it looked so great. The food was tasty, with plenty of choices on the menu. During holidays, they threw parties, and everyone got cakes for their birthdays. There was always music or musicians performing for the residents. I would definitely recommend this place to others!

"Not A Good Fit For My Loved One!"
My visit to this center wasn't exactly great even though some folks recommended it to me for my relative. Something just didn't feel right and I just wasn't at ease there.

"Dull Daily Life in Assisted Living!"
My grandma briefly lived at this place, but we didn't like it much. They hardly have any daily activities going on, and the few they offer are pretty boring. She spent most of her time just sitting around with nothing to do, which was really upsetting. I ended up moving her out soon after we got her settled in.

"We See Good Benefits"
My grandmother is just fine at this community. The staff are the best part here. She gets enough meal choices and is trying some activities. They have transportation for the residents.

"Inadequate Care, They Only Care About Profit"
This place isn't suitable for folks who need help with everyday tasks. All they care about is the cash they're making.

"Worst Place: Uncaring, Understaffed, Just After the Cash"
This place is the worst for your loved ones. They don't have enough workers, they don't really care, and they're only interested in making money.

"Mixed Feelings About Food, But Clean Community"
My mom isn't too thrilled with the food. It lacks flavor, variety, and is sometimes served cold. However, the community and her room are clean. Overall, we're satisfied with how things are going.

"Great Tour!"
I really liked the marketing director. They gave my mom and me a fantastic tour of the community. The assisted living program had fun activities and good meal plans for everyone. Overall, my visit was great, but the location wasn't ideal for my family and me.

"Moving Mom Out: Overpriced and Underwhelming Care at Brookdale"
I wouldn't recommend this place at all. A lot of the workers here are really good, but they don't stay very long. They always seem super busy and worn out. The building itself looks okay, but that's all. The help that Brookdale provides isn't very good. They just told me they're increasing their prices again, so I'm planning to move my mom out of there. I can get better and less expensive care at home for her.

"Pricey Fee Hikes, Mediocre Service at Brookdale"
This assisted living place doesn't get high marks from me. Most of the workers are great, but a lot of them don't stay long. They all seem really tired and busy. The building itself actually looks nice, but that's pretty much its only advantage. Brookdale's services don't impress me at all. I just found out their prices are going up again, so I'm preparing to move my mom somewhere else. I can find better and less expensive care for her at home.

"Friendly and Clean, But Not a Fit for Us"
I visited this place for my sister. Everyone was very kind and welcoming. The place looked clean and well-kept. They answered all my questions and gave me a lot of information. It's a nice community, but it's not the right one for my sister.

"Good Community, Lost Money Due To Circumstances"
My aunt was supposed to move into this community, but things didn't work out the way we planned. I had found a great room for her in this place which seemed neat and was well looked after. But by chance, she ended up needing to go to rehab before her move-in date. I was confident that she would have been well cared for in this community. One downside was that we lost some money because my aunt didn't end up living here. Overall, I think it's a decent community.

"Clean, quiet facility with helpful staff, but food could improve."
Since my mother-in-law is staying here temporarily, I can only comment on her short-term experience. She got a room at half price, which made it affordable for her for three months. The facility is clean, updated, and very nice. At 93, she enjoys the quiet and is content. The staff is friendly and helpful to both her and our family. Although she doesn’t join in activities due to her health and shyness, there are activities available for those who want them. The downside is the food. As a great cook herself, she finds the meals here lacking. They are okay but not great. Most dinners are sandwiches and chicken, which lacks variety. Since she will be leaving soon and goes out with family for some meals, she manages with the limited variety. Overall, this is a place we would recommend if it fits within the budget and you want a clean, quiet, and welcoming facility.

Brookdale Eau Gallie provided excellent care for my mom during her respite stay. The food was good, and the staff kept us well-informed. Everyone was friendly and really paid attention to her needs. I’d recommend this place to families who want quality care.

"Mixed Feelings about Assisted Living Facility"
I visited this place and thought it was nice. The people seemed really friendly. But I'm worried because I've heard some things from others. They say the workers here get too many jobs that they're not trained for. And that the place cares more about making money than having enough staff. I wish I could talk to the staff without the managers listening in. Others say what you hear from them is different. It looked good, but I'm not sure now.

"Brookdale Eau Gallie is a nice place for seniors."
Even though my mom stayed at Brookdale Eau Gallie for only 6 days, she liked it. The workers were kind, useful, and caring. We thought the place was neat and safe.

We visited this place with Dad. He wasn't super excited about maybe having to share a studio room, but he said it could work. The place was really nice, and the people working there were awesome.

"Great service, clean, friendly, and affordable assisted living."
Everything seems great so far. No complaints about food or anything. When I visit, it's clean, and the staff is friendly. It was even a bit cheaper than many other places we checked. I’d give them at least a four.

"The staff at Southland Suites is truly amazing and caring!"
The staff at Southland Suites is incredible! They really went out of their way to make sure my mom felt happy and safe in her new home. They even picked us up from the airport in the middle of the night with a wheelchair van! I can't say enough good things about them. Everyone there is friendly, helpful, and welcoming. They make sure you have everything you need or want.

"We loved them! Small, secure community with great food."
We loved them! It's a small, secure community. The residents have different abilities, and they only offer assisted living. The facility is beautiful. Everyone is let in by a staff member, so security is great. The food was good, and they encouraged families to join for meals and events. They celebrated major holidays early so residents didn't miss out if they couldn't join their family celebrations at home. There were many opportunities for families to be involved.

"Check the Evaluations Before Deciding!"
Sure, this place looked pretty good, and the people were really nice. Yet, we didn't have the best time here. They said they could take care of my loved one, but within a week, we had to move him 'cause it was too much for them. Things would have been much easier if they'd made sure about his needs first.

"Nice Place, Too Big"
They were nice. Each Brookdale has its own things to offer. It's a bigger place with 2 or 3 stories and elevators. I didn't want my mom to have to navigate that. It's a lovely place.

"Improving food and inaccessible buses in decent assisted facility."
The meals here could really use some improvement, but I've heard they're getting a new food manager next week so it might be better then. Unfortunately, I can't use my power chair on their bus — I wish I had known that earlier, as I wouldn't have visited if so. But they did come pick me and my scooter up for a walkthrough. The facility does have a really friendly staff who are always willing to help with any issues.

"Helpful staff and clean facility, but we need cheaper option."
Southland Suites is very clean, and the staff is nice. I wish I had known my father’s service didn’t qualify for VA benefits. Because of this, we need to find a cheaper place. However, Southland Suites has been very helpful and worked with us. They let us move him to a smaller room to save money. The staff has been great and answered all my questions.
