"Food could improve."
The director and staff actively listen to your needs and strive to accommodate you. However, the food could be tastier.

"Assisted Living Provides Excellent Care and Food, Billing Needs Improvement"
They work hard to meet my loved one's needs, especially with food. The meals are excellent. They do a lot of things right, but billing can be slow. They should be quicker to respond. Overall, my loved one is happy and well-treated.

"Friendly Staff and Happy Hour: A Great Choice!"
We picked The Collier at Naples because they had the care we needed, and the place was really nice. The staff is super helpful, and everyone loves the 4 PM happy hour. I’d recommend them!

"Decent assisted living lacking in outdoor space and activities, friendly staff."
The people working there were really nice. The place had what you need, like taking care of your family. It was okay, not super fancy but okay for my family member. The room was nice, and they cleaned it once a week. If your family member can do things by themselves, it's a good place for them. The room even had a little kitchen. My family member liked the people who work there, which is important. They were really nice. There isn't much space outside for people to walk around or sit outside. It was good for a short time. The food was okay for my family member. There weren't many things to do at the place. They did have a way for people to go to the store. It would be nice if they had more things like art or games for people to do. They had a list of things to do every day. I would use them again for a short stay. Other places make you stay longer.

"Very Happy with Care and Accommodations"
The staff here has been very helpful and accommodating. I needed both of my parents to be in the same room, which is hard to arrange at many places. But they made it happen, and that was a big factor for me. Brookdale has two types of memory care: lower and higher. They provide everything my father needs. Overall, I’m very happy with everything so far. If it weren’t for at A Place for Mom, I wouldn’t know what to do. Their help has been really important.

"Loved One Enjoying Her Time in This Community"
My loved one is doing very well since moving to this community. Her health has improved, and everything is going great. She is very pleased with the move. I will be joining her here soon. The staff is great, helpful, and kind. The community is small, which is nice because it's not overwhelming. She has a beautiful apartment with a lovely balcony, great lake views, and great resources. I'm looking forward to my move here.

"Facility Lovely but Limited for My Husband"
The staff here were really nice, they took me everywhere and answered everything I asked. It's a lovely place, but my hubby would've been stuck on the top floor. He wouldn't be able to go out to the yard or to other floors unless someone was with him. So, I didn't think this place was truly the best for him.

"Mom Adjusting Well to New Community with Good Services"
My mom is adjusting okay to her new community. The food is good, and she likes it. There are activities available, but she hasn't really tried them yet. The staff is doing a good job, and the other residents have been friendly and welcoming to her.

"Avoid Brookdale Naples if Parental Health Assistance Required"
Don't consider Brookdale Naples downtown for your aging parents if they need any sort of health or physical support! It's a place where your parents can socialize plenty, but don't expect anything beyond that. Any form of health or physical assistance is virtually nonexistent at Brookdale Naples, even if you cough up the cash for it. My mother had multiple falls and whenever my father would ring for aid, no help was forthcoming. He'd always need to resort to dialing 911! We did our best to avoid relocating my mother and ended up shelling out for around-the-clock CTA care. If your folks can't manage on their own, 100% of the time, steer clear of placing them in this facility!

"Neat Place with Friendly Staff!"
Brookdale Naples gave me a free meal during my tour. The place was really clean and tidy, everything was in its place. The person showing us around was nice, but seemed really focused on getting us to sign up. The people living there looked happy and were joining in activities.

"Total Letdown: Poor Communication and Unexpected Fees"
Our experience here has been awful. Nobody keeps us informed about our mom's care. She spends all her days alone in her room, just watching TV. Trying to get answers from the staff hasn't been easy either - their English isn't strong and their communication skills are poor. We've also noticed a lot of hidden costs for various services. We're now trying to find a new place for our mom. The one positive thing I can say is they sure know how to give a good tour and make false promises.

"Dirty Facility, Absentee Guide, Few Residents: Not Recommended!!"
I came here with my family member needing help in day-to-day living. Immediately walking into the main entrance, we noticed three ladies in wheelchairs who were asleep. We had an appointment to tour the facility but our scheduled guide had to bail. Instead, a random employee took us around. As we explored different floors, it was strange not to see many other residents. We were shown an empty unit which was alarmingly unclean. The entire facility had a very unsettling atmosphere. We couldn't leave fast enough. I strongly advise against considering this place!!

"Disappointing Services Lead to Unfavorable Recommendation"
This facility appeared to be getting worse and worse before I decided to shift my folks. It felt like they were seriously short-staffed, which negatively impacted most of their offerings. The food service was awful, leading to slow service and poor food quality. They also faced several problems with their laundry provision. I wouldn't suggest this place to anyone.

"A Pleasant Assisted Living Experience"
My mom stayed at Homewood for 2.5 years. She was in her 90s but lived independently without memory problems. The place got a recent makeover, looks really nice now. The food is great, and the chef listens to residents' suggestions. They've improved their management and nursing staff, making things run smoother. I don't get why some people write bad things about it. Give Homewood a try, I bet you'll like it.

"Well Done Homewood"
This community is great now that the right staff are in place. My loved one is engaged with activities and loves the fourth floor. With memory care, there's a transition time and not every day is perfect, but I'm happy with how fast the staff reacts and cares.

"Brookdale: Low Staff, High Prices and Poor Care"
Brookdale really dropped the ball here. They don't have enough staff, and in just a year, the prices went up. Plus, they're charging nearly $300 more a month to look after my loved one's behavior since they have dementia. On the fourth floor, there are only two workers for 17 people and no one from the nursing staff there full-time. The workers we did see were usually on their phones behind the desk. There's an activities calendar, but it seems like it's just for show. All they've got is a TV to stick your loved one in front of. It's like really expensive daycare since they never give showers, and my loved one often stays in their dirty clothes. People seem to come and go - residents and workers alike. Nothing ever seems to get better.

""Overpriced and Uncooperative Assisted Living Facility""
This place costs a lot. Sure, the staff is nice. But they don't provide many activities. They're pretty average. They're fast to send your family member home rather than trying to find ways to make them more comfortable - even if their sales team says they'll help you.

"Absolute Zero: Failing in Proper Care and Evaluation"
They deserve zero stars. My family member couldn't even last a whole day here. They failed to properly evaluate his needs. If you're thinking about choosing this place, ensure it's right for your loved ones. Remember, it's no nursing home or hospital.

"Significant Dissatisfaction with Assisted Living Facility"
I'm honestly not pleased with this place! Steer clear! My relative stays here and she often complains about the meals. The laundry service is just satisfactory. There's plenty of space to park. They could truly improve in all departments. We're quite disgruntled with this place.

" Unsure if This Review is Fair, Manager Good, Rooms Small"
I'm uncertain if it's right to judge since this was the first assisted living place I visited. But, the person in charge seemed to know what they were doing, which was a plus. However, I felt the rooms were really tiny. I enjoyed seeing there was a unique floor and dining section for folks who can do more for themselves.

"Warm, Attentive Care but Lacks Stimulating Activities"
We moved my mom there recently. They were making changes, dividing memory care into two sections: one for those needing more help and one for more independent residents. Because of her age, my mom was placed in the section for those needing more assistance. I thought this was a good choice. The staff provided personal attention, with about four residents to each caregiver, so my mom received close care. However, there were very few activities, which we felt was lacking for her stimulation. It cost about $1300 more than her previous community.

" "Marketing Beats Quality: Disappointed In Assisted Living Facility""
We've had a bunch of problems with this assisted living place. Their advertisements were really good and convinced us it was the right choice. But, now we see that it isn't. We're really let down. It feels like all they cared about was making it look good. We've talked to the staff who say things will improve, but we haven't seen that yet. We aren't sure if it's just in the Alzheimer's section or the whole place. We regret choosing this community and wouldn't suggest it to anyone at this point.
