"Facility Falls Short of Expectations; Mediocre Experience Expected"
I used to manage operations for a big company, and I gotta say, this place isn't well-run. They make big promises in their ads, but when you get there, it's not what they said. Seems like they're desperate for staff because they hire just about anyone who shows up and can pass a background check. I've heard some places are better or worse, so I figure this one's just okay. But honestly, after seeing this, I'd rather not live in a place like this when I'm older.

"Assisted Living Review"
My in-laws were surprised by the kitchen staff shortage. My father-in-law now brings his own container each morning, asking for scrambled eggs and bacon. He microwaves it upstairs because the dining hall often serves cold food. Going down early for meals is better, as they run out of items. My mother-in-law’s shower assistance is inconsistent, causing stress. The Manager is making efforts, but a more structured shower schedule is needed. They enjoy the wine and social hour, but additional staffing would improve their experience.

"Cozy Assisted Living Tour"
Our family visited Brookdale North Naples in person. The tour was pleasant, but the community felt a bit old and musty. Still, it had a cozy, homey vibe.

"Assisted Living Experience at Brookdale North Naples Reviewed"
When we moved my mom to Brookdale, it felt chaotic. The staff eventually met her, but it took some time. The chef even gave us a tour on move-in day. Before committing, we made sure they accepted long-term care benefits. They assured us they did, but it took a while for the invoices to get sorted out. Despite many calls and emails, the insurance provider still hasn't received February's invoice. My mom chose Brookdale because of its location, room size, and proximity to her doctors. We hope the insurance issue gets resolved soon.

"Assisted Living Facility: A Bit Confusing and Far Away"
I didn't write many notes because something about the place felt off. The layout was super confusing, and I worried about my mom getting lost all the time. Even though they offered to drop the $3,000 community fee, I couldn't commit. Plus, there weren't many residents around. It seemed like they stayed in their rooms because they might get lost if they ventured out. Brookdale was also pretty far from where I live, more than 30 minutes away.

"Grandmother Loves It Here"
My grandmother is doing really well since moving to this community. She loves it here, and I feel good about her being here too. We recently had a hurricane, and the staff handled it very well. They went above and beyond to make sure everyone stayed safe. I know she's in good hands here. I would definitely recommend this community to my family and friends.

"Assisted Living Facility Provides Excellent Care and Amenities"
My father-in-law loves living here. The staff was great during Hurricane Irma because they had a generator. They made sure everyone got the care they needed. The food is good, and he enjoys the activities. I'd suggest this place to others.

"Price Was A Factor"
Location, location, location always affects pricing. You might assume that all communities with the same name charge the same, but that's not always true. Dad ended up at a Brookdale community, which was less expensive than this one. When you compare both places, everything is quite similar except for the location. The staff was friendly, and the community looked well-maintained.

"Brookdale North Naples keeps Dad safe, happy, and engaged!"
Dad used to live alone on 13 acres in Maine, so moving to Florida was a big change. Luckily, he's got a happy and easygoing personality, and he's still sharp. The staff at Brookdale North Naples has been amazing—they make sure Dad stays involved and happy. He’s made lots of friends here, and we’re so glad he’s in a safe place!

"Adjusting Smoothly, Some Helpful Suggestions"
My mom's doing okay at the place. It's going as planned. She's not used to the changes and how they do things, like the schedule. But she'll get used to it bit by bit. The staff gave us tips to fix a mistake on a form while we waited for her furniture. They gave us a TV, table, and bed to use.

My father, who's 101, has been at Brookdale North for seven years. The facility has changed names three times, but most of the staff has stayed the same. You couldn't find a better place for elderly care. Everyone is caring and goes above and beyond for the residents. Even though my dad has private aides, the Brookdale nursing staff, led by Pat Russell, is always ready to help in emergencies, and we've had quite a few over the years. The dining room serves three meals a day, and the staff knows what my dad likes and shouldn’t eat. Housekeeping, led by Matt, does a great job. They promptly handle requests like carpet cleaning. Kathy, the activities director, has been there since before my dad moved in. Although my dad no longer participates in activities, she always has fun events planned, including trips to stores and fun places, and weekly happy hours. I live five minutes away and visit often, so I see the consistent, caring staff firsthand. They're required to know and greet residents by name. Carla Davis, the director, has been there for years and keeps things running smoothly while being compassionate and approachable. Moving my dad to Brookdale North was the best decision. He's happy there and may even reach 102 because of it. He was initially against moving to assisted living, but now he's very content. We checked out other facilities before choosing Brookdale, and he lived in a different assisted living facility his first year in Naples, but we had too many issues there. Don’t hesitate to move to Brookdale North!

"Nice facility but needs better communication and resident outreach program."
Overall, I think Brookdale North Naples does a good job. The place is clean, and the staff is friendly to residents. But, they could improve communication after moving in. They were quick to respond during the sales process, but it's been hard to reach them lately. Also, it would be nice to have a program for new residents. Our loved one is shy and struggles to socialize. Another thing is staff checking her room late at night, which is odd for independent living. Despite that, it's a nice place, and she enjoys it.

"Great staff and fun activities!"
Since moving to Brookdale North Naples, everything has been great. It's very nice and clean, and I'd definitely invite my relatives and others to live here too. The staff is so friendly, I’d rate them a six out of five! I participate in most of the activities, like playing cards. They also bring in outside entertainment like bands and singing groups. The food is really good, I'd give it a four and a half, though it can get a little repetitive sometimes.

"A Resident's Honest Feedback"
I think the maintenance department needs more workers. They're not overworked but they seem really stressed and often fall behind, which means residents have to wait for repairs or installations. Also, the receptionist should stay at their desk the whole time, not running around delivering mail or setting up the coffee station. Many times, I've gone to the front desk for help and found no one there because they were off doing other things. Plus, the phone rings a lot with no one to answer it. Having more trained wait staff would also be a big help.

Brookdale North Naples looks great! I have a lot of industry experience, so I know what to look for, and this place passes all my strict standards with flying colors! The place is clean, the food is excellent, and the staff is professional and caring. The director does a fantastic job, and the aides are mostly long-term employees who are obviously happy with their jobs. The price is decent for the level of care they provide, and we got the rate locked in permanently, which helps with future planning. They don’t provide high-level medical care, but their service for the level they offer is excellent. I highly recommend this place to anyone in the area!

"Lots of learning experiences"
My father has been living here for over a month. His studio apartment is just the right size for him. He says all the staff are friendly. It was a bit confusing for both him and our family to find our way around at first, and although the map they gave us wasn’t perfect, it helped. When he first moved in, the facility had "All Day" dining, meaning residents could eat any time from early morning to early evening in one of their two dining rooms. This was a big selling point in their brochures and during tours. Now, one dining room is only open from 4 pm to 7 pm, and the other one closes at times during the day, so there are moments when no food is available. When I’ve eaten there, I found the menu had a wide variety of choices and the food was good. There are many learn as you go situations, and it would help if more procedures were written down to avoid confusion. The staff seems willing to work with residents when issues come up. The interiors are very well kept, but one of the free laundry facilities needs better equipment. There’s a small fitness room, but it doesn’t seem suitable for many residents. Outside, the pool sometimes has debris in it and doesn’t look inviting, though my father doesn’t use it. I’ve had to clear palm fronds and other debris off the sidewalks so my father can walk safely. There is usually plenty of parking for visitors and residents. There are lots of activities in different parts of the building for those who like to be social, and residents can go on trips offsite for a fee. Overall, the residents seem happy and content.

"Brookdale: A Great Find in North Naples"
We checked out a few places for my dad’s assisted living. Brookdale felt warm and friendly. It had a lively atmosphere that some other spots lacked. The residents were active and engaged. The staff knew them well, especially the dining room crew. We tried the food and gave it high marks. The only downside right now is the dim lighting in the gathering areas outside the resident rooms. A brighter light bulb would fix that. As for activities, they seem similar to what you’d find in any assisted living place. I’m not sure how they’re promoted or attended yet. The janitor should clean the stairwells, but overall, the building seems well cared for. I’ll update this review as my dad experiences life at Brookdale.

"I Feel Comfortable"
I feel comfortable having my mom at Emeritus. Everyone there is really friendly, and she enjoys being there. The move from her home to apartment living has been smooth. The place is always clean and doesn’t have that "old folks home" smell. Since my mom is more independent, it would be nice to have more activities for her. She does love the golf tournaments and is excited for the upcoming party. The food is good, though the lunch waiter could use some extra training to handle the shift between breakfast and lunch. The chef is very open and even tries my mom’s recipes.

"Wonderful Place for Mom!"
My mother lived at Emeritus for five years, and I visited almost every day! I can tell you it is a wonderful and caring place that gives families peace of mind. The food was amazing, and the catered private parties were great! The Beauty Shop was really convenient, and they had physical therapy on-site. The nursing staff was helpful, the entertainment was fun, and the activities director was fantastic. The dining wait staff was caring, and they provided transportation and security with a call button response. What more could you want for your parent? Thank you, Emeritus!

"Great staff but confusing layout for new residents"
The place is clean, friendly, and helpful. However, the building layout can be confusing, and Dad sometimes gets lost and frustrated. Despite that, we really like it here. Moving to a new place can make seniors feel sad, but I think the staff at Emeritus really work hard to make it easier. It also helps if Mom or Dad stay positive and remember they do have other options, though those aren’t as good. We’ve been at Emeritus for 1 week now.

From the pre-visit calls to my 90-year-old mom's move-in, everything has been wonderful! The place is immaculate, the food is delicious, and the staff is super kind and considerate. My mom can choose her own food and dining times to fit her preferences and schedule. We look forward to her future at Emeritus of Naples.

"Great place, positive changes for Mom!"
Overall, I would give this place a five. I’m a bit worried since Emeritus took over. Some residents who have been there for a while say a lot has changed. They’ve had quite a bit of staff turnover, and there was a waiting list of 30 people, but my mom moved up quickly. For me, as long as the staff seems happy, that’s a good sign. One thing I really liked about Merrill Gardens is the long-term staff. My mom has given us good feedback! Her experience has been very positive, and everything is going as we hoped. She’s been going down to the dining room for breakfast, lunch, and dinner with others. The layout makes it easy for her to run into people. Before, she shut herself off while living alone, but now she’s very social again, which makes us happy. She’s also using the walker she needed for a long time because she doesn’t feel self-conscious about it anymore!

"Mom's Place"
We've been happy with Mom's Place so far. She's feeling more at home each day, and everyone - the staff and other folks living here - has been really nice and ready to lend a hand. The place doesn't cost an arm and a leg, and the services they offer seem worth it. And can you believe it? The food's actually pretty tasty too.

"Very On Top of Things"
My mom loves it here. She’s so happy! One of the best things is how clean it is. The staff is super nice, and she’s met so many friendly people. It’s also really close, less than 5 miles from my house. She spends at least one night a week with us, and if she wants to stay longer but forgets to tell them, they call me to check. They’re great when we visit and know us by name. I think it’s the perfect size. It’s big enough to have lots of activities but small enough that they know everyone. It used to be Merrill Gardens, and we liked that better than Emeritus. The food isn’t as good now, and some small things have changed. My mom is waiting for the staff turnover to settle down, and then things should get back to normal. I’d still rate it A+ because they are really on top of things, and I feel good about her being there.
