"Mixed Experience but Improved Care at Assisted Living Facility"
My mom had a bumpy start moving in. Her room had a big leak, so they moved her to another one temporarily. It took about 3 weeks to fix it. The place is clean, but there was a strange smell at first. Mom mentioned it but hasn't complained again. She likes the staff—they're all really nice. Before moving in, Mom struggled with taking her meds correctly. Now, Brookdale handles it, and she's much better. She enjoys her meals and playing Dominoes and other games. It's a good deal for what we pay, and they even renovated her room, which is nice.

"Assisted Living Facility Needs Improvement"
The pandemic really messed things up for your place. There are lots of new people coming and going all the time, which is a big issue. The prices keep going up every year, but the quality of care keeps going down. Most of the workers are nice and try to help, but the bosses just say they'll fix things without actually doing much about it, and that's frustrating.

"Lacking Care and Support: Disappointing Assisted Living Experience"
This place didn't do what they said they would. If you can manage on your own, it's okay. But if you need help with everyday things, they don't have enough staff for that. And the people who work there don't get paid much, so some of them seem unhappy and not very nice or helpful. The ones who did care were rare, but they were really good.

"Mixed Feelings at Brookdale Assisted Living"
We like what Brookdale offers. There have been many staff changes lately, which we hope will be good. Mom was supposed to have someone called an Ambassador to help her, but we haven't seen one yet. This made her move here hard. She doesn't like the food or the dining.

"Better Care Found for Loved One"
In my opinion, I didn’t like the memory care facility where my loved one stayed. The only positive was that I could stay overnight to comfort her. Thankfully, her son and I found a better place for her.

"Slow Dining Service, Decent Food; Shop Around Before Deciding"
You might want to check out a few places before settling here. Also, make sure you understand everything in the paperwork before signing. They serve two meals a day, breakfast and dinner. Breakfast is from 7 am to 9 am, but it would be better if it went until 10 am. The food is pretty good, but be prepared for a long wait – it can take 45-50 minutes to get your meal.

"Disappointing Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
My family member stayed here before (Independent Living) and it wasn't good. They promised light housekeeping, but it never happened. The food was just okay, not amazing, and they had some activities. Overall, it didn't go well, so we chose to relocate her.

"Brookdale's Memory Care Department a Disappointment"
Brookdale was awesome until I entered the memory care section, it was incredibly depressing there.

"Great Assisted Living with Few Issues"
They have had trouble finding workers since COVID, like everyone else. They try hard, but the dining staff is still short. The director works hard to improve things. The activities are good, but there are staff changes and post-COVID issues. It's been tough. However, when mom calls the concierge desk, she gets help right away. We shared the cost to upgrade her apartment, which was fine. It's affordable for a one-bedroom, 1 1/2 bath with a full galley kitchen. Most places only have small kitchens with a microwave and fridge. She has a small walk-in closet. We also shared the cost to renovate both bathrooms. When repairs are needed, I contact the director and they get it done. I would definitely recommend this place. They have open meetings once a month to hear from residents and discuss what's going on. It's clean and safe. The food is good, and I think things will improve as post-COVID issues get resolved. If your parent needs help with meds or other things, you can add on services. They will bring meals to your room if you're not feeling well. There's a bistro that offers lunch and ice cream for a small fee. If your parent needs extra help, they can buy packages. Mom gets her laundry done twice a month, her room cleaned once a week, and her sheets changed if she leaves the clean ones out. Trash is picked up on cleaning day. Wireless internet is being added to all floors and should be done by October. They have a beautiful pool and patio area, a workout room, and a small pharmacy on the bottom floor. They offer trips to banks, Walmart, Target, Publix, etc., twice a week. There's a hairdresser and nail salon open during the week by appointment. Special trips for dining out are first-come, first-served. I feel it's a great place. There are a few issues to work out, but overall, mom has a great apartment. She also has a screened-in porch with two chairs and a table, which she loves.

"Great place with helpful staff and good care"
My dad's apartment is great. It's just right for him, and he likes it. He's 96 but still very active and independent. His only complaint is that many of the other residents seem older and less active (using walkers or disabled). But our family is very happy with the place and the care he's getting. The staff are very helpful. We're really glad we moved him here.

"Mixed Experience at Brookdale: Homey Atmosphere, Great Staff, Food Needs Improvement"
The experience at Brookdale hasn't been too bad. The facility feels very homey. The people are nice, and the staff have been super helpful. The girl at the front desk is fantastic. The caretaker I have for a few hours a day is also amazing and very polite. They really try hard to help and make you happy. However, the food isn't great. Breakfast is good, but dinners are disappointing. The quality isn't good; some meats are tough, and the fish lacks flavor. That's where they could improve the most. I'd recommend Brookdale with a note about the food.

"Disappointed with cleanliness and care, won't consider for loved ones."
The place wasn't well taken care of, and the people living there didn't seem to be looked after either. We decided not to choose this place after visiting because we didn't feel good about it.

"Assisted Living Community Earns Praise Despite Pandemic Challenges"
This place feels welcoming and friendly. Staffing for cleaning and meals can be tricky, but they're doing their best. The activities here are great. Any issues are because of the pandemic. The community is really trying hard during this difficult time.
