"Mixed Feelings: Recommend Elison of Pinecrest Despite Issues"
I live at Elison of Pinecrest. Cleaning isn't good. Move-in was good. Just be cautious about their sales pitch. Food is good but cold. They should switch back to serving on plates. Overall, I'd suggest this place to others. Showers are old tubs, not very safe.

"Assisted Living Facility Review: Friendly Staff, Ongoing Renovations, Room for Improvement"
This place has friendly staff who are good with independent care. The housekeeping isn’t always consistent, but public areas are well-kept. They're renovating the whole facility - new paint, carpet, and lobby furnishings. Families can visit whenever and stay overnight. Communication with families is good, and moving in is easy with excellent moving companies. Meals are average, mostly buffet style, but you should get there early. Upper management needs to be more hands-on with dining services and training. Overall, it's a good value for the money, but there's still room for improvement.

"Assisted Living Facility Deteriorates, Staff Extremely Rude"
My mom's been here 7 years and it's only gotten worse. The conditions and benefits drop every year. There's never-ending construction and the noise is too much. When I visited from out of town, there was construction right outside at 8am! This has been the same deal for years now. Every time I ask the staff about it, they just tell me what I want to hear and don't do anything about it. Things got really bad today. I spoke with who clearly doesn't like my mom. She was so mean I had to cut off our talk and leave her office. I went back to see if (the director) was there. As I got there, I heard telling her coworker that she knew I was the daughter of (explicative) and knew I was going to complain about the constant renovation noise. She said it all while I was literally standing outside her office. Totally unbelievable!

"A Friendly, Yet Unfit Place For Mom's Assisted Living"
I checked out this place and the workers were friendly and answered all my stuff. The building's really tall, but it felt weird how everyone just chillaxed out front like there was nowhere else to do so. They didn't have a full-time person at the main desk, which I think matters. Not quite right for my mom.

"Caring staff, great activities, and beautiful community!"
The staff is thoughtful, friendly, and caring. They do a great job encouraging my mom to join the many activities they offer. The second and third floors are for assisted living, while the first is for memory care. She loves Sunday services, playing bingo, and making new friends. The food is good, with plenty of choices and generous portions. The community is beautiful inside and out. I would definitely recommend it.

"All Bumps, No Smooth Sailing in Assisted Living Facility"
Shaky Start to Assisted Living: Underwhelming Service & Extra Expenses" Moving into this assisted living facility was quite tough. I'd recommend doing a thorough walk through before settling in, and even then, be prepared for a few difficulties. It's essential to secure and utilize your allotted 25 hours of assistance provided in the $2,600 move-in fee. If not, you may find the staff unavailable when you need them most. It's also been noted that the services provided vary between individuals. Our family had to purchase our own handheld shower head, for instance, while another resident had one provided for them. Carefully review and obtain the move-in packet well in advance to understand what's included. A word of caution: if you want to avoid damaged items, it's advised to bypass the services of Price Rite for moving. Our experience involved broken glass, scratched furniture, and precious pictures ruined. They seem to care little for their clients - they left behind items, used a dirty truck, and even dumped lawn debris on our premises upon arrival.

"Felt Right from the Start"
I knew right away this was the place for my mom. The staff greeted us with enthusiasm and were super friendly. All the residents seemed lively, talking and laughing together. I'm really glad my mom can afford this place. She wasn't happy about leaving her home, but I soon saw her enjoying herself. Honestly, I would have loved living here in my twenties or thirties! I've also had dinner with her a few times and the food is good. Most importantly, the staff takes great care of her and is very attentive.

"Was Able To Keep Mom and Dad Together"
When we were looking for options, we needed a community that could accommodate both my in-laws. One needed memory care, and the other required assisted living. This community helped us with that. Both sides are doing well. The staff keeps residents busy with activities, and they've made friends. The friendly staff interacts with everyone. The community is very clean, and housekeeping does an excellent job. My mother-in-law's allergies have improved since she moved here, thanks to weekly apartment cleaning. They both enjoy the food.

The assisted living community has a great location, and all the amenities they offer are wonderful. During our tour, the administration provided us with a detailed list of pricing and the cost of rent. However, the staff was not honest about the actual price we would be paying. When we set a move-in date, it turned out to be a completely different amount. Unfortunately, due to this situation, I decided not to move my loved one into this facility.

"Mom loves the Ritz-like Brookdale with top-notch treatment!"
A Place for Mom advisers were amazing! They understood that I didn't know where to start finding a place for my mom. My mother was a school teacher for 30 years—very outspoken and opinionated. I was worried she wouldn’t be happy. But she loves the Brookdale property A Place for Mom helped me find. We're from the South, and this place feels like the Ritz! "Mom’s Happiest She’s Ever Been!"
I took care of my mom at home for years, but it became clear she needed more in life. After our family did some research, we found Pinecrest Place to be the perfect fit. The staff is competent, compassionate, and very friendly. Now, my mom calls Pinecrest Place her home and even said, "I'm the happiest I've ever been." Our family was pleasantly surprised at how easily she adjusted, especially since she never used to be social, and now she joins in all the activities! As a healthcare professional for over 30 years, I’m very satisfied with the care she gets. Plus, it’s convenient that medical staff visit regularly. My mom is always well-groomed, well-fed, and has made great friends. I highly recommend Pinecrest Place for anyone looking for a safe, clean, and friendly environment for their loved ones.

"Pinecrest Transportation Service Is Excellent and Reliable!"
You need a ride? You’ve come to the right place! Pinecrest Transportation service is fantastic! The coordinator, Sharon Walker, is super capable, caring, and does her best to help everyone. Her computer skills keep everything running smoothly. They have four cars, a bus, and nine drivers ready to take you anywhere in Pinellas County. If you have an emergency and didn’t give Sharon a 48-hour notice, she will still try to help if she can. Need a ride to Temple on Saturday? No problem! On Sunday, they can take you to any of twelve local churches. Pinecrest also has special events throughout the year like ball games, dinner shows, and restaurant trips. If you want to go to any of these events, the transportation department is ready to assist you. They also run a bus four times a week to Publix and other local places like the library and Walmart. Let’s not forget the nine wonderful drivers who will take you to your destination. As a resident for three and a half years, I’ve had the pleasure of riding with all of them at different times. They are careful, thoughtful, and really care about all of us seniors. So, I’m always happy to go along for the ride! Morton... Hometown: New York City!

"Pinecrest Place: A Loving, Supportive Retirement Community You’ll Love"
Four years ago, my husband and I decided to sell our house and move to Pinecrest Place. It was definitely the right choice, maybe even overdue. I haven’t regretted a single day since we made the move. From the start, we found the people here—both residents and staff—to be friendly, caring, and like a big family. We knew we’d be happy spending our remaining years here. Their love and support only grew stronger during my husband’s illness and his final days, and it’s still here today. Pinecrest offers a wide range of activities, from projects and entertainment to support groups and transportation. There are so many things to do, you could fill up your whole day with fun and meaningful experiences. Pinecrest really is everything you’d hope for in a retirement community. I couldn’t be happier.

I chose Pinecrest Place because I needed a safe and supportive environment. I visited about 12-15 facilities in different areas. Pinecrest Place stood out because it felt truly alive! The residents were friendly, active, and genuine. Exercise classes were led by a qualified instructor, not just sitting in chairs. The young people working in the dining area were so helpful that I gained a new respect for teenagers. The staff treated residents like family, not just with a quick "hi" or "hello." "A Warm and Welcoming Place to Call Home"
After my husband died, I tried to take care of our house by myself, but things started to break that I couldn’t fix. I felt overwhelmed and knew I had to find somewhere else to live. We had lived in Largo for over 50 years, so I wanted to stay local. I searched for months without any luck. Then I started looking into independent living facilities. None impressed me until I walked into Pinecrest Place. The big lobby was bright and cheerful, with people walking around or chatting. There was even soft piano music playing. It looked like a friendly, enjoyable place to live. I decided to move here and got my new apartment in December. I’ve made many friends and really enjoy it here. The lobby and dining room are decorated for every holiday and occasion, and the staff are friendly and very helpful.
