"Assisted Living Facility Review"
They raised rent, provided wrong info, and had water issues.

"Staff, Food, Cleanliness Impress"
I really like how the staff talks to me and remembers my name. The food they serve has gotten much better. The place is super clean and runs really well.

"Issues at Assisted Living Facility"
They don’t have enough staff, so my mom sometimes struggles to get to the dining room or back to her room. We weren’t told about the monthly charge for assistance with meals. Today, an aide only emptied one waste basket out of three. Laundry hasn’t been picked up since Tuesday. Meals are mostly good, but it’s expensive. Transportation and laundry are issues. Mom loves her apartment, though—thankful for that!

"Brookdale Sarasota Midtown: A Great Choice for Families!"
I believe they do a really good job planning activities both inside the facility and for outings to restaurants and other places. My family member lives in assisted living, but they also involve the memory care residents. They offer a great variety of outings and activities. It would be nice if they added more fresh fruits and veggies to the menu and made it a bit lighter, but I think they’re working on it. Overall, I’d definitely recommend Brookdale Sarasota Midtown to other families.

It's not perfect, but I feel at home. The staff is friendly, and I'm 95.

"Great Socialization"
I just heard from my mom that the administrator is going back to her original community. It makes me sad, but hopefully, the new person will continue making improvements. My mom loves living here, and I sleep well at night. She gets great socialization here, unlike when she was sitting in her condo watching TV all day. Someone used to stay with her, but they just watched TV. Now she is active and staying healthy. Yay for Brookdale Sarasota Midtown. Thank you!!

"Best place to stay during the winter months!"
I love the beautiful walking path here. I stay at this home during the winter and really miss it in the summer, but I need to spend time with my family while I can. One day, this will be my permanent home. The live entertainment is fun, the meals taste great, and my room is always clean. The Director even calls to check on me and sends gifts, which makes me feel truly cared for. I’ll be back in October. See you soon!

"Perfect mix of amenities, great caring staff"
This place was perfect for my father-in-law. He felt comfortable right away, making new friends at the smokers' patio. He said the food was really good and kept his routine of having a Manhattan at "mix and mingle." He enjoyed bingo, a field trip to Goodwill, and made a lot of progress with physical therapy. The most important thing for us was the peace of mind knowing he was in a place that "felt right." The residents were happy and welcoming, and the staff, especially the activities director, took great care of him and helped him adjust to the new place.

"Great care for short stays at this awesome facility!"
They were amazing! They were the only place that could help us when we needed a short break. They did a fantastic job, and she had a wonderful stay. They took great care of her. I definitely think they deserve a five-star rating!

"Expensive, Small-Scale Indoor Facility Lacks Outdoor Space"
It's tiny and costs more compared to other places that offer the same sort of vibe and features. There's no outdoor area, so it's really a place for indoor types.

"Headline: Management Changes Dampens Quality of Assisted Living Facility"
My mom used to stay in this facility when it was managed like a big happy family. The personnel were chipper and the residents were content. Plus, the place was constantly spotless and the meals were appetizing. Everything has transformed since it fell under the management of, those who prefer working behind closed doors. Surely, the staff keeps working strenuously but they are now thinned out too much. Regrettably, dwellers have had to put up with a reduction in recreational activities, degradation in the caliber of meals, and less thorough cleaning. It's unclear whether the director is simply dismissive, or has no authority over the higher-ups. Why doesn't the corporate management realize what's going wrong? And if they do, why aren't they taking measures to rectify it?

"Supportive Staff and Residents Lift My Dad's Spirits"
My dad is feeling down, but he really appreciates the friendly and caring staff. The other residents have also been very supportive while my mom was in the hospital. It’s clear they all enjoy being there.

""More Staff Needed for High Needs Residents, Food So-So""
This facility needs more staff for their high needs residents. The building is kept clean and the staff is nice, but there's too little help on the third floor. Even though they've taken "dementia care" off their sign, I think they still accept residents who need this kind of care. However, if you have dementia, be ready to pay extra for someone to supervise you during meals and help you around the building. You might like it here if you can do many things on your own. The food is okay, but it may not always be served warm, especially in the café. I can only tell you so much because my client at this place has dementia.
