"Improving Communication and Safety"
The communication could be better. It’s hard to find out about our family member’s schedule, bills, and meals. Wearable alarms for falls and scheduled check-ins would help.

"Poor Communication and Questionable Practices at Brookdale Facility"
The nurse doing health checks here isn't good, she only spends about 10 minutes asking basic questions like: Do you know what today's date is? Can you remember 3 words and say them again in 10 minutes? and so on. She decides if someone needs special care for their memory based on this short chat. If your family member doesn't pass, they don't even tell you. Instead, they act like you're going to sign a lease and then the next day the people from the care unit for memory issues give you a call. Brookdale will send people to the memory unit if they can't remember the date. This makes them more money, but it might not be the best thing for the person. I had two other places suggest my family member should have regular care, not special memory care. The rooms are tiny, but kind of cute. One whole hallway had a real bad smell, like a litter box, because of a resident there. That was the only thing that bugged me, apart from them treating us wrong and not talking to us clearly.

"Liked Brookdale, but Missed Having a Screened Porch"
We toured Brookdale Spring Hill and liked it. There was nothing bad about it, except my mom has a screened porch at home and Brookdale didn’t have one. A screened porch lets the outside in and makes the room feel bigger, which was a big deal for us. If Brookdale had that, we might have chosen them because it’s really close to my house.

"Brookdale Spring Hill second choice."
Brookdale Spring Hill was our second option, and we liked it a lot. The people who worked there were incredibly friendly. The only reason we didn't go with them is that the rooms were too cramped for both my parents.

"Clean and Welcoming, but Not Right for My Mom"
The common areas in this facility are very clean and well lit. The staff is friendly and interacts well with the residents. The small number of residents might be great for some people, but it wasn't a good fit for my mom.

"Cozy Assisted Living with Some Amazing Staff"
Sometimes, communication isn’t great, but the facility is nice. It’s expensive, but we’d recommend it. Some staff are amazing. We love the cozy community feel. Our loved one’s care could be better.

"Uncle's Experience at Brockdale Assisted Living: A Disappointing Stay"
My uncle stayed at Brockdale for three years. Lots of things went missing, and the prices kept going up. The food was alright. Sometimes, the medical staff was tough to deal with, and my uncle seemed overly medicated. We couldn't move him because it was a locked place. If your family has other options, pick Brockdale as a last resort.

"Dad is happy here"
My dad seems to really like living here. The staff is very nice, and we can easily talk with them. They do a great job of checking on everyone. The place is clean, and the outside areas look nice. There are lots of activities, and they encourage my dad to stay active. The food is good too. I would definitely recommend this community.

"Tour of Community Unimpressive and Unsuitable for Mom"
I didn't find my visit to this facility satisfactory. The person supposed to guide me around wasn't present when I first got there. The features and services I was shown didn't seem a good match for my mom's requirements.

"It's a Much Better Place for Her"
My mom enjoys the community; it's clean, and the staff keeps her happy. The meals are great, and the chef even chats with her. I'd recommend it to others.

"A relief to see Mom thriving in her new home"
My first impression was that the place felt open and bright, and the residents seemed alert and curious. The staff is friendly and hardworking, and they’re involved in many aspects of caring for the residents. During meals, all staff help out in the dining room by pouring drinks and serving food. After eating, they make sure walkers are returned to residents who need them and assist those who require help. The community has a busy calendar with lots of interesting events. With a maximum of 40 residents, my mom has been adjusting well in just two weeks. She’s starting to regain her confidence and feels safe and happy in her new home. I’m relieved to see her so comfortable.

"Clean and Friendly Assisted Living, But Far for Family"
My visit to this place was good. It's a good place. Everything looked good and clean. The people who work there are nice and friendly. The tour was good, but it's not right for my brother. It's a bit far for us to go to. It's a good place with nice people.

"Safe and Caring Environment at Brookdale Spring Hill"
My mother is really happy with the care she gets here. Her last place, chosen by a social worker, was a nightmare. Now, I can enjoy my summer without worrying about her. She loves playing Bingo, and even though she’s a picky eater, she likes the food—just says they give her too much! All her medical needs are taken care of, and she feels very comfortable. I can't thank you enough for helping me get my 100-year-old mother out of a bad situation.

"Happy with Brookdale's Care and Service"
We were happy with Brookdale. We don't live there anymore, but it's not because of the place. We never had any problems while we were there. The staff was very nice and did a good job taking care of her.

"Trouble with Billing and Administration at Assisted Living Facility"
My main issue has to do with the bills and paperwork. Everything else, like the care, the helpers, and the facility, is okay. It's always clean, the workers are nice, and the meals are good. I don't have any problems with those things. What bothers me is the extra costs they keep adding on. They have extra charges for lots of things, including things you might not even use. Sometimes, these charges are even four times higher than the original price. I also get different answers from different people.

"Sterling House... perfect for families and their loved ones!"
When you walk into Sterling House of Spring Hill, you’ll see big, bright, open spaces. The staff has been a true blessing. They gently encouraged my parents to join in extra activities, and now they love it! I can spend more quality time with my parents, knowing they’re well cared for at Sterling House.

"The best care for my Godmother"
My Aunt/Godmother is at Sterling because Timber Pines couldn't care for her after she lost her leg due to diabetes. I'm very pleased with the wonderful care all the nurses and aides give her at Sterling House. That place has really been a blessing to our family. The family atmosphere at Sterling House is wonderful. I'm grateful she has the highest quality of care she needs and deserves at this time in her life.

"Challenges with Staff and Billing at the Assisted Living Facility"
Billing has been a major headache here. They keep messing up and it takes ages to correct them-I'm still waiting. Staff shortages seem to be a constant issue. It leads to all sorts of issues: delayed medication, unclean bathrooms, and slow food service. Plus, any extra services come with a hefty price tag. And they let folks smoke on the patio-residents and staff both.
