"Residents Want More Activities"
I like the facility, but there haven't been any activities for the residents. I believe residents need activities.

"Assisted Living Facility Falls Short on Personal Care Services"
I'm somewhat disappointed. My friend enjoys the food and activities, but I'm not satisfied with the service. The bed isn't always changed, and my friend doesn't receive regular showers. Considering the cost, we're not getting adequate care. It appears that personal care for residents is lacking.

"Unfriendly Staff and Unaccommodating Policies at Assisted Living Facility"
This place is really bad. The staff are super disrespectful and they always have bad attitudes. I have a medical and religious reason not to wear a facemask because it harms me. According to U.S law Title 18 u.s.c 242, anyone who purposely treats any person unfairly in any state, depending on any law, statute, religion, or custom, can be punished under this title or go to jail for up to ten years. Everyone should reconsider if they truly care about their family members.

"Smaller facility with friendly staff and clean rooms."
We picked Brookdale Tavares because we needed to decide quickly, and they had availability when we needed it. It's a smaller place, which she liked. The staff is friendly, and the rooms are clean and spacious. Communication could improve—I'm in NC, and she's in FL. Overall, I'd recommend it.

"Costly Fees Overshadow Nice Facility"
The place was nice, but not right for Mom. They had a base price for each apartment, plus extra care fees. It ended up costing more than other nearby places.

"Access and Meal Concerns in Assisted Living Facility"
The people working there are nice and friendly. But, getting inside is a hassle. You have to press the buzzer and then wait for the staff, who are often short-staffed, to answer. After that, they have to come to the door and enter a code before you can go in. Sometimes, this takes a long time, around 5 to 10 minutes, especially if they're busy or don't hear the buzzer. It doesn't seem right to bother the staff like this when they have other important things to do. I go there every day, and it's becoming annoying! They say they can't give out the door code to anyone except the staff. But that doesn't make sense to me because the main reason for it is to keep the clients with memory problems safe, not to keep visitors away. Another problem is the food. It's not very good for people with health issues like diabetes or heart problems. The staff tries their best, but it feels like they need to plan healthier meals. Overall, the facility is affordable, safe, and the staff are caring. However, it would be better if there were more staff available.

"Nice Staff, Not the Right Fit"
It's been a while since I toured this place, but I have no complaints about how it went. The staff did a good job with the presentation and were very knowledgeable about everything they offered. It just wasn't the right location or the right time when we looked at it.

"A Pleasant Tour"
This community looks nice. It's all on one floor, like a big square. It's mainly for residents with Dementia. There are smaller rooms on both sides of the hallways. Everything is inside the community, including a large dining room. When I visited, the residents were participating in an activity. Overall, it's well laid out with a spacious foyer.

"Beautiful place, but too expensive for our needs."
My sister and I really liked this Brookdale when we visited. It was beautiful, but it cost $2000 more a month than other places. Since my mom didn’t need Memory care yet, we chose a different Brookdale.

"Pleasant Staff, Needs Better Communication"
Our visit to the assisted living facility was quite pleasant. The staff we met were all warm and informative about life in their community. But, they seriously need to improve their communication system. It was a bit frustrating because when I asked about their main contact person, no one could tell me exactly who that was. This kind of thing matters especially in cases of emergencies or if I need to reach my mom.

"Grateful for the caring staff and support!"
The staff is really caring, and the place is clean and nice. They helped with the transition from independent living to assisted living. The physical therapy team is also caring and professional. They have helped my mother-in-law gain more mobility and independence.

"Cozy place, bit pricey for long stay, seeking more independence."
We tried staying here briefly. It was good, pretty nice. But it's kinda pricey if you're planning to stay for a long time. We wanted something where we could do more things on our own and make more friends easily.

"Sterling House: Cozy, Caring, and Flexible Living!"
Sterling House is a cozy place that feels like home. The staff are very kind and professional. Residents have many activities each week, and the staff reached out personally to my mom when she was feeling lost. It’s quiet but friendly, with great conversations at dinner. My mom will soon make new friends. They’re very flexible with special requests, like ice cream and cookies for dinner. Safety practices are good, which is reassuring. They truly make it feel like home, but even better!
