"Mixed Feelings: Crescent Wood Assisted Living Review"
Crescent Wood is a calm place with nice workers. But, we didn’t expect the big price hikes. I might suggest them.

"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
The staff members were great, and I only had meals there during the lockdown, but they were tasty. I wish there were more activities, though they were limited. When they did offer activities, it was first-come, first-served, so you had to sign up quickly. The price was too high, but it truly felt like a home away from home.

"Constant Problems and Poor Care at Brookdale Facility"
Ever since Brookdale became the new owners of this care home, I've faced non-stop issues. The staff members, including the certified nursing assistants and the admins, seem to come and go all the time. They're slack when it comes to caring for the residents, following fall procedures, keeping track of clothing, giving meds on time and returning phone calls. Honestly, I would not advise anyone to use this place. It's simply terrible.

"Avoid this facility: inadequate care and inconsistent staffing."
Don't trust this place for assisted living. They can't manage to keep their clinical and management staff, they're always changing. They only check on residents every two hours. My mom fell out of her wheelchair and was on the floor for more than an hour before they noticed. They're also not quick about contacting the doctor when medicines need to be changed. They never even get in touch when there's a change in condition. There's no care plan in place. I wouldn't tell anyone to use this facility.

"Great place with helpful staff and spacious apartments!"
The sales coordinator met me and spent two hours showing me around. She was really sweet and helpful. Everything was clean, and the people were very nice. I asked several residents how they liked living there, and they all had positive things to say except for the outdoor parking. I saw two of the two-bedroom apartments, which is what I need. They were occupied, but the residents were happy to let me look. I told the coordinator that if I move in, she can call me anytime to show the apartments. It really helps to see furnished spaces to decide if my stuff will fit. Hearing residents talk about their homes helped too. I put my name on the waiting list for a two-bedroom, and she said she would call when one becomes available. The biggest problem they have is not enough larger two-bedrooms. They have some in Assisted Living, but they can’t rent those to Independent Living. I could have moved in next month, but a lady is leaving for her daughter’s house. When you talk to people who build these places, tell them they need more two-bedrooms for those of us coming from bigger homes. Both ladies I spoke with came from larger homes and had to downsize a lot; a one-bedroom wouldn’t have worked for them. I’m now at the top of the waiting list since she just filled her last two-bedroom in Independent Living. I knew I’d have to cut down from my four-bedroom home, but I think it’s time. After I downsize, I believe I’ll be happier with less to care for. She suggested getting renter's insurance just in case. I was pleased with everything, especially that it's only 3.5 miles from my current home, keeping me in the area I want to stay in. I’m waiting for a call about the two-bedroom. Once I get it, I plan to pay the entrance fee to hold it. They’ve lowered their entry fee from $2,500 to $2,000, with an additional $500 for pets. This is affordable for me, as is the monthly fee, which hasn’t changed much since I first looked over 12 years ago. She also gave me a schedule of transportation runs and the food offerings for the past three days, so I could see what to expect. I got all my questions answered by her or by one of the ladies whose apartments I visited. Now, I’m in a waiting period until I get a call. Once I do, I’ll put down the deposit and start moving. I plan to have a partial estate sale and sell my house. She gave me the card of a real estate agent who is helping her find a house, along with contact information for someone who can help with yard work. This was very helpful and went beyond her job. I also received a copy of the Community Connections newsletter, showing the daily activities available. Overall, I am more impressed after the tour than I was just visiting a friend there. Once I move in and settle down, I think I will be very happy there, and so will my cats. Plus, my two boys can stop worrying. I’m not sure they will like my decision, but it won't impact them much. The only extra item I’ll pay for monthly is cable since I want TV, computer, and phone service, and they only provide basic TV. They also include a monitoring button, which is similar to the one I currently wear, so I can save on my AARP monitoring fee. Overall, I think what I save from moving will cover at least half of the apartment's monthly fee. I know a one-bedroom would have felt cramped, but a two-bedroom will be just fine, especially with the porch and other buildings that include a library, pool, exercise room, and nice places to relax or read.

"brackets"
Rewrite this 4 star review of an assisted living facilities retaining the tone and using 8th grade level american English: 'We are comfortable with my mother in laws move to this community. She is doing well, and so far everything is working out well. They have a really good staff at this facility. They are very helpful, and always willing too help. They do a good job with the cleanliness. Her room, and the community are clean when we visit. This is a community I would recommend, it is nice place.' then create a headline (in 10 words or less and placed in double ) that summarizes the review and resembles 'Mother is Law Doing Well with Her Move Here'.

"Not ideal for my sister-in-law; better for more independent individuals."
This place wasn't quite right for my sister-in-law. The staff were friendly and helpful, and they maintained a clean community. The food was okay, but they lacked fresh fruits and vegetables. Although they offered daily activities, she didn't participate.

"Declining Care and Greedy Management at Assisted Living Facility"
I knew someone who lived in this assisted living facility years ago. Over time, it's sadly deteriorated. If you're considering placing your loved one here, I'd keep hunting around for better options. The quality staff they used to have don't stick around for long - definitely a red flag. It's certainly not easy finding top-notch caregivers. You can always hire a replacement, but it's about more than just filling the slot. The current staff is overworked and often seen doing tasks that should belong to other departments. This takes away from the time and attention they can give to the residents. I've been observing this for a while now - you know how the saying goes, you never know who's watching. Some of the residents are very aware of their surroundings. They've openly expressed their concerns without realizing I was listening during my visits. It's unfortunate for the hardworking folks whose efforts go unrecognized. Meanwhile, it seems like the management only cares about making money and putting themselves first, rather than focusing on the needs and well-being of the residents.

"Assisted Living Facility Neglects Residents for Profit"
Many years ago, this assisted living facility had a different feel. Now, if you're considering this place for your loved one, I urge you to keep looking. From what I've seen, workers who are actually good at their jobs don't stick around, which is a warning sign. It's tough to find really great caregivers, and while it's easy to find someone to fill a position, that's not always enough. The staff members work too hard and seem to be responsible for tasks that should be handled by other departments. This takes away from the time they can spend caring for the residents. Over the course of a long period, I've noticed this happening, which just goes to show that someone's always watching. Some residents, who understand what's going on, have shared their feelings during my visits, not realizing that I was listening in. I feel bad for the staff members who work hard and don't get recognized for their efforts. It seems like the people in charge care more about money than about the residents. This is really unfortunate, because the focus should be on the care and wellbeing of the loved ones.

"Mixed Feelings About Brookdale Titusville Sand Point"
We visited Brookdale Titusville (Sand Point) while exploring options for temporary care for a family member. Overall, it seemed nice, and the people we met were super nice and acted professionally! But, I wasn't sure the way the place is set up would be right for my loved one. It's really big and spread out, and she's concerned about getting lost there.

"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
This place felt gloomy. Maybe I chose too soon. We’re in our 70s, but it felt suffocating. Lots of questions, like an 11-page questionnaire, sprung on us later. Felt like an invasion of privacy, and we didn’t answer. Timing matters here. Jumping in too early can be expensive. Billing practices seemed uncertain. Food was good, though.

"Be Sure, Choose Wisely: Early Move-In May Cost You"
This place felt kind of sad. Or perhaps, I picked it too soon. We're only in our 70s, after all, and we found it a bit too dull. They asked way too many questions (11 pages on one "small survey" that they didn't give us when we first got there. It felt like they were invading our privacy, and we didn't answer it. Make sure you're ready before you go to one of these places. Going in too early can get really expensive. Also, their way of billing doesn't seem quite right. On the bright side, the food is pretty good.

"Affordable Assisted Living with Amenities"
We liked the open units, though slightly small. Washer and dryer in each unit. Good food during the tour. Clean community, pleasant staff. Dark due to brown color scheme, no noticeable odors. Reasonable price. Screen porch and ongoing activities. Bus service available. Only concern: dining room distance, but they offer room service.

"Seemed like a very nice place"
We liked that the apartments were open, although we wished they were a bit bigger. But we appreciated having a washer and dryer in each unit. The food was good; we had lunch during the tour. The community was clean, and the grounds were well-maintained. The overall place felt a little dark due to the brown color scheme, but we didn't notice any bad smells. Everyone we met was friendly. Considering what she received, the price didn't seem outrageous. We also appreciated the outside screen porch and the ongoing activities. They offer shopping trips and a bus service. Her only concern was that the dining room was a bit far from her room, but they assured her they could bring food to her if needed.
