"Affordable and Comfortable Choice for Dad"

The place was within my dad's monthly income. He visited and felt it was a good fit. We also checked out their sister community, Palms at Ft. Myers. I thought it was nicer, but he picked Calusa, so we chose that.

"Assisted Living Staff Ensures Safe, Engaging Environment Despite COVID"

The staff was really nice, and the place had a good vibe. Even during COVID, they took good care of our loved one. They watched over her, answered questions, fixed things, and encouraged her to join activities.

"Mixed Feelings About Busy Calusa Harbour Assisted Living Facility"

Calusa Harbour is a big place with lots happening. The decor felt old and not cozy. It wasn't right for my small-town parents.

"Review: Overwhelmingly Large Facility and High Resident Count"

The place was just too big. My mom felt swamped with just how huge the building was and by how many other people lived there.

"Friendly Staff, Good Virtual Tour, No In-Person Due to COVID"

We took an online tour of this place. The people working there were super nice and told us lots of helpful stuff. The tour was pretty cool, but we didn’t get to visit for real because of the virus.

"Mom Misses Calusa"

My mom lived at Calusa Harbor for over 3 years. She only left to be closer to family. Calusa was wonderful for her, and even though she likes her new place, she says "it isn't Calusa." I can't say enough about the caring and responsive staff. Mom could always call or walk by the desk and be warmly greeted and helped. This was true for everyone—dining room staff, security, bus drivers, and custodians. Their quality care helped her through many crises. My siblings and I always felt that Calusa kept her safe and happy. We are truly grateful.

"Looks Can Be Deceiving: Small Spaces, Elevator Issues"

You might say, “Wow, this looks like a dream home,” but once you step inside, you notice pipes all over the ceiling, and it doesn’t feel as cozy as you’d imagine. The living spaces are adorable, yet they’re super small. It’d be too squished for us, especially since we have a couple of tiny Yorkies. Plus, we’ve heard some not-so-great things about the elevators not working right.

"Looks Can Be Deceiving: Small Spaces and Elevator Issues"

Looking at this place, you'd think "Wow, it must be amazing to live there!" But when you step inside, you see pipes running right across the ceiling which is a bit of a downer. The apartments are pretty adorable, but they're super small. We couldn't live all squished up like that, especially since we have two little Yorkies. We also heard some stories about the elevators being sketchy.

""

I can't say anything bad about this place. The room was big, had a view, and was spectacular. It was the best place I saw. Because of my friend's medical condition, he wasn't an ideal candidate. It was the same price as Emeritus, but much brighter, better maintained, and just gorgeous. The food was delicious, and the building was beautifully kept. Nothing else compared. There were beautiful sitting areas and plants around the facility; I would move in myself.
