"Avoid This Facility: My Mom's Tragic Experience Here"
Remembering my mom, , who passed away a year ago this week, I reckoned she'd appreciate me cautioning other families about this place. Seriously, don't allow your beloved ones to stay here. My mom was a Parkinson's patient but otherwise healthy. Sadly, within 36 hours of her stay here, she fell down, injured her spine, and tragically she left us six months later. Those are the main points. For further details, read my complete review on Google reviews. The truth can't be denied.

"Awful experience at care home without staff, activities or good food"
I feel stuck here. It's boring, with no activities. Don't expect the staff to be around on weekends. You may or may not get your necessary medication. The housekeeping team doesn't understand English, and they clean when they feel like it. Half of the residents struggle with drug addiction. The facility director utterly lacks competence. The dining manager, who was once fired and now hired back, hurls abuses at residents, intimidating them by boasting about her Chicago gang background. The food is atrocious. We all miss the previous staff member, , who treated us well before she left. We desperately need help here.

"Poorly Managed Facility with No Nutritional Meals. State Inspection Needed!"
This place lacks proper care. The meals they provide have absolutely no nutritional value. Management clearly doesn't know how to run a place like this. It's simply abysmal. I wouldn't recommend anyone to go there. Truly, there needs to be some sort of state check-up to inspect what's really happening.

"Unreliable Living Facility with Poor Food and Lack of Care"
This assisted living facility's food is appalling. The activities are few and far between, making it unfit for someone you genuinely care about. You'd probably be better off using a first alert necklace, unless your loved one suffers from memory problems. There doesn't seem to be a solid memory care protocol in place here, as residents can often be found wandering aimlessly. Beds are stated to be changed every two weeks, but this doesn't always happen as it should. They claim to offer Wi-Fi, but it's highly unreliable. It's essential to note that the performers aren't compensated, so they rarely return. Refer to another review on a different Cherry Oak site for more insight.

"Inhumane Treatment at Assisted Living: Disabled Resident Evicted"
This assisted living facility lacks effective management at the moment. My disabled brother was forced to leave due to a mistake he made - they essentially sent him to jail. They haphazardly called our family to come collect his belongings, which they'd left outside of the building with only 45 minutes' notice. My sister, who was busy providing round-the-clock care to our hospitalized mother at the time, was the only one able to go. Worse, they held on to many things, like his 60-inch TV. When my brother was released from jail, he returned to the place he considered home, but he was in a dreadful state and was covered with waste. They ordered him never to return, yet they didn't alert our family to come for him. They left a disabled, 62-year-old man standing alone outside. He had no other choice but to walk to my sister's house. He has numerous sores all over his body, which, we believe, originated from his time at this assisted living facility. We've taken pictures as proof and plan to lodge a complaint with the Florida Department of Health for their appalling treatment of a human being.

"Cherry Oak: Inaccessible Facilities with Indifferent Management"
The owners of Cherry Oak Assisted Living seem more concerned with what they want than what their residents need. It almost feels as though they may have been happier owning a dollhouse, jam-packed with perfect, plastic people. The water cooler has been out of commission for a month now, but hey, just walk to the other side of the building, right? Accessibility? What's that? The building seems to predate the ADA, so they don't have to make it wheelchair-friendly, and since they don't use wheelchairs or live here, it's not their problem. But you know what they do have? Security cameras - that don't work! The certified nurses, housekeeping staff, and dining room teams are amazing, but they can't stick around forever. It would be nice if someone bothered to find out why so many folks are leaving. And their culinary philosophy? It's simple: 'eat what we serve you, consider yourself lucky.'.

"My Grandpa's Experience"
My grandpa stayed there until he passed away, and the staff was super caring and helpful. They made it feel like home for him. I'd recommend this facility for any loved ones needing care away from home.

Affordable and nice building. My mom stays here, and I really enjoy visiting her. The staff is always welcoming and keeps us updated on any changes. The courtyard is well-kept, and the fountain makes you feel at home.

"Beautiful facility with great features and renovations underway!"
This place is beautiful! I think it used to be a nursing home, so it has extra security features like nursing call buttons and secure areas. We met the cutest lady named Gene when we toured. The facility is huge and has a fountain, library, bingo area, great room, and probably a lot more than we saw in our short visit. They were renovating, which is always a good sign, so we can’t wait to see the new foyer when it’s done.

"Continued Billing at Assisted Living Facility After Patient Left"
My spouse left this facility back in April. However, they kept billing us for May, June, and August. We were refunded for May and after a dispute, even got the June charge reversed, but August remains unsettled. Our bank, Visa, had to swallow a loss of $2225.71 once they identified this as fraudulent activity. They also told me that Atlantis was ignoring their queries and warned me about their dicey business methods. I pushed again for them to send back at least a part of the money ($773.29), but all my calls fell on deaf ears at their local office. I only came out with this review after failing to resolve the situation off the record.

"Absolutely Not - Untrustworthy and Unkept Assisted Living Facility"
Absolutely not! This place was gross, stinky, and while I was being shown around, I saw two workers seemingly napping in a dark TV room. I wouldn't dream of leaving my mom in their hands.
