"Terrible Experience at Assisted Living Facility; Broken Promises & Negligence"
The woman running this place takes in more people than she's allowed to. Legally, she can only have six, but my family member was the unlucky number seven. Now, her workers don't understand a lick of English. Even if they say they can handle two-person tasks, trust me, they can't. In fact, one staff person worked for two whole days straight, doing everything by herself. Meanwhile, the residents have to share two bathrooms, and one was out of order for over two weeks. My loved one's teeth weren't brushed for almost a month. Her wheelchair was too big to fit through the door without force, so it was a struggle to get her out of the room. That sparked my worries about what could happen in case of a fire. They put her to bed at 6PM with no TV or activities to keep her busy, and no one to check in until bedtime. We were promised three showers a week for her, but that was just another broken promise. We saw all of this because we visited on a daily basis. When we took her to get evaluated at a different facility, she became unresponsive. The ER staff said it was probably due to too much medication. That night, I packed up her things and got a refund from the admin lady - she obviously didn't want any trouble. Despite their claim of having security cameras, when the police needed footage one night following a local incident, it turned out the cameras weren't working. Too many promises were made and left unfulfilled. It's been a horrible experience for our family, and we definitely wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

"A Great Choice for Loving Care from a Dedicated Owner"
Consuelo’s ALF has been a perfect place for my mother. She was living with my brother in Sarasota until he passed away last December. It is not just the owner but also the caring heart and on-call nurse for her two buildings in South Tampa. Since I live 2,000 miles away, I depend on them to care for my mom, and she does an excellent job. She often updates me about my mom’s health and what she needs. Mom has been there for almost a year, and I have only good things to say about Consuelo’s.

"Exceptional Care at Consuelo's ALF"
I'm thrilled with the care my stepmother received at Consuelo's Assisted Living Facility (ALF). Although I live far away, the owner made the transition smooth and stress-free. She communicated regularly, addressing any concerns promptly

"Consuelo's is perfect for my mom!"
I love this place! The owner and her husband are always on top of things. They do everything they can to help the residents and their families. I feel at peace knowing my mother is in great hands. The workers are very caring and always communicate with us about everything. They are willing to help, and yes, they have accents when they speak English, but when you see how much they care for your family member, the language is not really a barrier at Consuelo's. The staff is well trained and super nice to the residents and families. We, as family members, must also respect and appreciate the important job that caregivers do every day for our loved ones. Our family recommends this facility 100%. Love Consuelo's! :)

"A Suitable Option, But Not for My Mom"
I recently visited this assisted living facility, and it was decent. The location was a bit of a hassle for me since it's on the other side of town. The tour was fine, but unfortunately, it wasn't the right fit for my mom. No complaints about the community itself.

"A Perfect Home for My Mom"
I visited my mom last week and she's thriving! She was chatting with me on the phone and seemed more alert. I'm so impressed with this assisted living facility - it truly feels like home. The staff is friendly, attentive, and welcoming. They've really taken to my mom, and she looks genuinely happy. The place is spotless, and they provide delicious meals. Any concerns I have are addressed promptly. The owner is wonderful too!

"Amazing care and support like family!"
The owners, and her husband, have been fantastic, especially when my mom went through a tough time with her awareness and energy. She became tired and unresponsive for a few days. , who is a nurse, was checking her blood pressure and pulse. When she noticed something off, she quickly reached out to me and contacted the doctor who visits there. They brought in a home health nurse to do blood work, ordered a chest X-ray, and checked for a UTI. I was really worried and didn’t know what to do, but was so caring, it felt like she was part of my family. She kept me updated twice a day. I’m really glad I chose this place over a larger facility that couldn’t give my 92-year-old mom the memory care she needs.

"Inadequate Staffing and Pay at Consuelos Assisted Living"
I believe Consuelos should employ bilingual staff for its residents. The current staff, only recently arrived from Cuba, seem uneducated and unfit for the job. They simply take a quick course, and suddenly they're qualified? The owner, busy trying to open more facilities, does not seem to care if there's just one caregiver for nine elderly residents. When attempting to gain information regarding a family member, no one seems to have answers. Additionally, the owner shows no respect to her staff, paying them less than the minimum wage. She's too focused on her own profit, hiring newcomers who are not properly trained. I think the state of Florida should be more strict in enforcing rules and regulations for places like Consuelos. I plan on reporting them to Congressional legislation.

"Love Consuelo's ALF—true care and comfort for mom"
I had my mom at Consuelo's ALF, and we truly loved it here. The owner, Massiel, and her family were always around, and I could text or call her anytime, day or night. She always picked up right away, unlike the last place where I never even saw the owner. Consuelo's ALF felt like a real home for my mom. She had many medical issues and has since passed away, but I know moving her here was the best decision. She often told me how comfortable she felt. Thank you, Massiel and family, for caring so much for my mom.

"Peace of mind!"
My father-in-law gets amazing care at Consuelo's ALF. He's been there since March 2015. He had trouble at home, and I tried to help, but it wasn't enough. Thank goodness for she, and her staff. They help with his medications and daily living. He is well cared for and socializes with other residents in a homey environment. The pricing is great compared to bigger facilities. They've given my family peace of mind knowing he is well taken care of and as happy as he can be.

"Caring and Friendly Staff in a Smaller, Supportive Setting"
The staff is really caring and quick to help. My loved one falls often, but they are always there to assist him right away. The facility is smaller, which is great. Everyone is really friendly, and he’s happy here.

"Excellent Care and Support at This Community"
My father received excellent care at this community. The staff was very nice and caring. They provided great meals with a lot of choices. The activities were wonderful when he wanted to join in. He did move to another community for different needs, but I highly recommend this one for its great care.

"A loving home for my mom!"
My mom loves it at Consuelo's! They treat her so well. I visit her almost every other day, and she is always smiling. It’s not just when she sees me; she smiles as soon as I walk in the door. She has two kinds of smiles: one with her lips closed and a big, toothy smile when she’s really happy. At Consuelo's, she shows her big smile, which makes me know she’s so happy. Massiel is amazing! She’s helping mom get speech therapy. No other healthcare worker has cared for my mom like she does. Massiel and her family treat my mom like their own. I’m really thankful for Massiel and her family.
