"Great Care and Flexibility at This Community"

This is one of the better places you could choose for your loved one. The staff is friendly, caring, and helpful. They communicate well with the family. Sometimes, you might not know who to contact, but the director helps you find the right person. Residents get three meals a day with choices. If someone comes in late, the kitchen will still serve the food. They seem to be flexible for the residents.

"Residents told to act happy during tours, felt forced."

Felt residents were told to act happy during tours, forced.

"Mixed Feelings About Assisted Living Facility"

We've had some problems with the care here. Four main caregivers were out sick with COVID at one point, and that made me unhappy. Communication hasn't been great either. But things are slowly getting better. I wish the staff would be more encouraging and help my mom get involved in more activities. Overall, I suggest this place, but be sure to ask around and talk to more than one staff member before deciding.

"Assisted Living Gem with Resort-Like Feel"

We picked Crane's View Lodge due to availability and fair pricing. The private room is spacious with a large bathroom and accessible walk-in closet. It feels like a resort inside—beautiful ambiance. Nurses share dancing videos and promptly communicate needs. Highly recommend!

"Convenient Location with Caring Staff and Healthy Food"

We picked Crane View Lodge because it's close to family and doctors. We checked out other places but loved the view and the staff here. They really pay attention to the people who live here. The food is super healthy with lots of fruits, veggies, and fish, but it's a bit bland. The only downside is no swimming pool. I'd tell others to check them out if they're looking for a place.

"Communication Gap During COVID at Crane's View Lodge"

The Crane's View Lodge is nearby and convenient. It has a pleasant atmosphere, but communication during COVID shutdowns could improve.

Thanks, but we just can't handle a big high rise.

"Caring Memory Care at Cranes View Lodge"

I’ve had a great experience with Cranes View Lodge. My family member is in the Memory Care unit, and the team goes above and beyond for every resident. My mother adjusted well and is always happy when I visit. The management truly cares.

"Review: Assisted Living Facility too Hotel-like for Comfort"

Mom found it too much like a hotel.

"Excellent but 5 stories"

While looking at different options for my loved one, I found this place to be excellent. The staff and everyone I met were very friendly and accommodating. However, my loved one didn't want to move forward because it has five stories. It's a terrific place, and I would recommend it.

"A Wonderful Place!"

My wife is doing well here, and the community is great. The staff is kind, professional, and very attentive.

"The Assisted Living Experience"

The assisted living experience has been pretty much like any other. There's room for improvement, but they're doing their best. With so many residents, the community is overall good, and I don't have any complaints.

"A tour for care"

We visited this community for care. The staff was caring, and the place was clean. The menu looked good, and there were activities for residents to join if they wanted. The cost was too high for us, but we recommend other families to tour this community for their loved ones' care.

"Great Tour!"

I visited this community for my loved one, and I have no complaints. The staff did an excellent job showing us around and providing lots of helpful information about what they offer. The bedrooms were spacious, and I liked the lighting throughout the unit. Unfortunately, it didn't fit our family's budget, but I'd still recommend it.

"brackets"

Rewrite this 4 star review of an assisted living facilities retaining the tone and using 8th grade level american English: 'Overall it is going well and we are happy with the way the community helps my dad. It has been a transition and I would recommend them to my family and friends.' then create a headline (in 10 words or less and placed in double ) that summarizes the review and resembles 'For My Dad' .

"Comfortable stay."

I feel comfortable with my loved one's stay. The facility stays very clean, and my loved one gets her medication and eats well. My main concern is that the facility is understaffed, so she doesn't always receive the care she needs. Fortunately, she's a higher-functioning resident, but this can be problematic for others. Families should check in randomly to ensure staff are doing their job.

"Highly recommend for aging in place!"

Crane's View Lodge is a lovely home for my mom. The staff are great and help her join activities. The food is delicious, and there’s plenty for her to do. It's an awesome place I would recommend to anyone looking for a home to age in place. A Place for Mom was amazing in helping me find the right place for her.

"Crane's View Ill-Equipped for Total Dependence Care"

Mom was put in the highest level of care at the Memory Care Wing. I think Crane's View, being an assisted living facility, shouldn't admit someone who can't do anything on their own. They just don't have enough staff to handle all the job tasks, let alone deal with taking care of someone who needs constant help. Sure, the folks are nice enough and it would work great for someone who can walk and move around by themselves. But, I don't think my mom should have been there because they just can't care for someone who needs help all the time.

"Crane's View Stands Above All Others"

I am so happy with my mom's stay at Crane's View! The place is very well kept and the staff are super friendly. My mom has lots of chances to join activities and socialize. No other facility compares to Crane's View!

"Great place for loved ones"

My close friend and neighbor has been at Cranes View for almost a year, and it’s been a great place for her. She’s getting awesome care, and the staff are super friendly and caring. They always have her best interests in mind. Her room is always clean, and they respond to her needs quickly. I couldn’t be happier with both the staff and the facility. Even though no one likes sending a loved one to assisted living, Cranes View feels as close to home as it gets. It’s really upsetting that some people who haven’t even visited leave bad reviews. If you don’t care enough to visit, you shouldn’t leave comments. Thank you to the staff for all you do for someone who’s like a mother to me.

"Feels Like Home for Mom"

If you're looking for a great assisted living place, this is it! The accommodations are top-notch, and the facility is first class. They always check on my mom and keep me updated on any issues. The nursing staff and attendants are friendly and ready to help with anything. They take great care of my 87-year-old mom, who isn't in the best health. They make sure she gets to all her appointments on time. I couldn't ask for better people. The head nurse is amazing and very caring, always available to me. It truly feels like home, just as it should!

"A Wonderful Place for Mom with Caring Staff and Great Service"

After seeing the earlier review, I wanted to share my own experience. My mom has been at Crane’s View since July. We were told it was the best place in the Clermont area. Mom stopped driving when she lost sight in one eye because it wasn't safe for her to be on the road. Crane’s View really helps us by getting her to her doctor’s appointments, which gives us peace of mind knowing she’s getting where she needs to go. Every time I’ve visited since July, the staff at Crane’s View has been amazing. They’re friendly, attentive, and really care about both my mom and us. They even remember my name and where I live. My brother, who visits several times a week, says the staff keeps him informed about mom’s well-being, even calling him if she sneezes! I’ve asked the nurses about mom’s medications and they always know her name and have her chart handy. They’re up-to-date on her care and she gets all the medicines her doctors prescribe. The facility is very well-maintained, like a fancy resort. I’ve had lunch there a few times and the food is really good! At first, mom was hesitant, but she now says she likes it there and wouldn’t want to be on her own. She has her apartment cleaned weekly, can call for help with a button, gets three meals a day, and snacks, all easily accessible. I wonder if the previous reviewer has actually visited Crane’s View since July. Making such comments without visiting seems unfair. I’m very grateful for Crane’s View and their staff for taking such great care of my mom!

"Amazing assisted living facility with caring staff!"

If you’re looking for a fantastic assisted living place, this is it! The accommodations are great, and the facility is top-notch. They always check on my mom and keep me updated on any issues or concerns. The nursing staff and attendants are friendly and ready to help with anything she needs. They’re very supportive of my mom, who is 87 and not in the best health. They make sure she gets to all her appointments on time. I couldn't ask for better people to work with. The head nurse is amazing and very caring! She’s always there for me. It really feels like home!

"Disastrous decline witnessed at negligent elder care facility"

I reside in Pittsburgh, PA while my mother lives in this facility, a decision made by my sibling without my input. I've often had to reach out numerous times due to an ongoing health issue my mother faces. Sadly, disturbing issues arise frequently. Despite my countless pleas for someone to check on my mother when she becomes too frail to communicate or recollect anything, she appears neglected. Regarding her medication administration, I lack the first-hand experience to comment, yet, what I've noticed since her residence began in July 2016, is a relentless decline in her health, which I believe would be obvious to competent staff. I question whether her medication is being appropriately administered or monitored, given her fast deteriorating condition. It's worth noting that she was healthy enough to drive when her stay began, despite my concerns about her age, which is 87 now. However, within less than a year, her health was merely a shadow of its former state. As for the staff, they seem to waste time and show a lackadaisical attitude towards patient welfare. Even after my urgent requests to check on my mother, their responses have been tardy. Desperately observing her struggle from Pittsburgh, I can attest to her need for prompt care. I sincerely advise against placing loved ones here unless you view them with indifference. As for the positive reviews this facility boasts, it seems they are written by insiders.

"Avoid: Awful Service, Mistakes, and Constant Staff Changes"

Awful meals, incapable workers, super slow responding to alert calls, and they leave your family member in dirty clothes. They're understaffed, there's no consistent caregiving, and they've given medication to the wrong resident. Plus, staff turnover is high." .

"High Prices, Negligent Staff at Beautiful Cranes View Lodge"

First off, I agree that Cranes View Lodge looks really nice. But that's about all it has going for it. The staff are terrible. I mean, when you call them, they take forever to answer. And the cost? Way too high for what you get. People have to wait for clean laundry and their rooms to be cleaned. That tells you something's not right. It feels like they just see the people here as dollar signs, not actual people. And the worst part is that they then ask for money for a staff Christmas fund like they're doing a fantastic job! They need to hire better people instead. The ones they have are too busy on their phones to help anyone. People here need that help. They're not here to be forgotten about or seen as just another number. It's really sad, but it's true.

"Highly informative tour, no decision until after holidays"

I met with staff who gave me a tour and shared helpful information about memory care for my mom. They provided digital info for my brother and made room recommendations for Mom. They also invited us to a memory care seminar. I’ll be going to Philly for Thanksgiving to discuss options with my brother. For now, he prefers to wait until after the holidays to decide whether Mom stays in Philly or comes to Florida. I rate the center highly based on my mom’s welfare and comfort, though no final decision has been made yet.

"Be wary: Delayed response and disarray!"

This place often lacks the necessary medications for patients, and the nurses take forever to answer emergency calls. It's all over the place.

"Poor Healthcare and High Turnover Rate"

This place can't keep staff members for long. The health care quality is super poor. For a long time, the dining room was shut and residents were stuck eating in their rooms. An unbelievable amount of residents have fallen ill. A new company took over in 2016 and since then, how they look after residents has gotten even worse. This place seems to care more about money than the people living here. I wouldn't suggest this place to anyone.

"AVOID: Money Over Wellbeing, Ongoing Staff Issues Here!"

The staff here changes constantly, and it seems like they're more interested in making residents quiet than taking good care of them. They don't even have the medical records on a computer! You can tell the workers get mixed up with the medicines, and even the person in charge of nursing just left - that makes four different nursing directors in the past year. There's always a problem with communication. It feels like they care more about money than about the health, safety and happiness of the people who live there. Seems like a never-ending cycle of new faces.

"Not Enough Staff"

The Crane's View Lodge is a super nice place. The only thing I'd complain about is that they don't have enough staff working. But everything else about the place is really nice.

"Receptive Staff and Personal Care"

They've done a great job working with us as individual clients. My mom is definitely a name, not a number. They have been very receptive to everything. There are a few things that need to be ironed out, but the facility is really making an effort.

"Great staff! Dad is happy and adapting well!"

First, I want to say "Thank you" to the friendly staff. As the only child helping my Dad, who is 82, I felt stressed, nervous, and unsure about trusting someone else with his care. He had lived with me since my Mom passed in 2002, but I realized he needed more help than I could provide. From the first call to Crane's, the tour, and moving day, everything felt right. The staff is amazing, caring, and funny. My Dad, who was always shy, is now more talkative, laughs, and enjoys activities. Crane's is new, but please keep up the great work you do every day!
