"Memory Care Unit and Pricing Concerns at Cypress Village Assisted Living"
Cypress Village was really good. I didn't like the memory care unit because of the alarms and how different it felt compared to the other floors. Also, they were raising prices to about $[removed] per month.

"Activities Staff Oversteps Boundaries at Assisted Living Facility"
My mom's staying there currently. I wouldn't suggest it. Her room looks old and dirty. It needs fixing badly. Also, the activities staff asked about her voting, which is absolutely none of their business!

"Lovely nature paths, but not near shops; great community overall."
I really enjoy the nature paths around here. However, I don't like that it's not close enough to walk to stores; you have to call a bus if you want to shop. But overall, it's a really nice community.

"Stay Away: Horrific Care at Assisted Living Facility"
I typically don't write reviews often but this place necessitates it. My dad was recently released from this community after staying in their rehab center following a hospital stay and it was an absolute nightmare. The care and help from the staff were honestly terrifying. I can't find the energy to state all the details, but I urge you, don't send your family here unless you're okay with the possibility of them not surviving. This community was a suggestion from Mayo Clinic, we trusted them as we didn't know any better. Please don't repeat our error. Also, my dad's wallet strangely disappeared while he was there. Please, don't make the same error we did and send your loved one to this place.

"Great Assisted Living Community with Friendly Staff!"
We picked Cypress Village because it’s a place where you can get different types of care, like rehab and primary care. The campus is beautiful and well-maintained. The rooms are really spacious, which is important since both my parents live here. They provide extra help without charging more, so it’s a good deal. The food can be hit or miss for my parents, but they have a separate dining room just for assisted living, which is nice. The best part is the friendly staff—I’ve had great interactions with everyone.

"Inadequate Staff and Poor Service at Cypress Memory Care Home"
My first-hand account: Cypress marketed their memory care home with the promise of a button for instant service. However, the button is at the front of the door, so residents have to struggle to reach it or call for help. The moving process was poorly organized. There's no one to welcome newcomers or explain procedures for medicines, special needs, etc. I had to find the director myself just to get answers. Plus, Cypress checks on residents only every three hours. That's a long time if you need help. They are short-staffed and stick to the same number of people even when residents' needs increase. As a result, many people bring in private helpers since residents can get lonely. Especially if your loved one isn't the type to join group activities, don't expect them to get much personal attention.

"Pretty, welcoming community with happy residents and helpful tour."
It's a pretty and big place, but it feels welcoming. The people living here like their activities. The online tour taught me a lot and made me think.

"Unsatisfactory Experience at Cypress Village Assisted Living"
My family thought Cypress Village would be great for my parents. But it wasn't as good as we expected. Here's what happened: My mom went to their Rehab Center because she had dementia and urinary tract infections. After a week, they said she couldn't stay, even though we didn't have another place for her to go. I was out of the country at that time, and we didn't have family in Jacksonville. We were really surprised and scared. I asked if she could stay a bit longer because we had appointments at the MAYO Clinic coming up, but they said no. They said she wasn't improving enough in therapy, but I saw her doing well before I left. I think they were wrong to send her away so quickly. We were able to get her to MAYO Hospital and then to another Rehab, where she's doing much better now. She's even starting to stand and walk on her own, and she's feeling better. Cypress Village should have given us more time to help her. I wouldn't recommend sending your loved ones there.

"Friendly Staff, Tight Layout, Well-Kept Community"
We liked this community a lot. The staff were really friendly and helped us with all our questions. But the community layout was a bit tight for all the residents. Overall, the community was well maintained.
