"Assisted Living Facility Needs Better Organization and Staffing"

This place is messy and might not have enough workers. We've been asking for a doctor's appointment for weeks, but it's still not set up. My mom enjoys the food and feels secure. Most people are nice.

"Well-Maintained Facility with Caring Staff"

This place is kept nice, and they let us use cameras in the rooms. The workers have always been nice to my family member. They always have enough workers there. Sometimes they take a while to fix things when we tell them about them.

"Mixed Experience"

Overall, our experience was okay. Unfortunately, there was a problem with my loved one’s medications that shouldn’t have occurred. The head nurse made a mistake by leaving out an important medication. I sent her the list of meds twice via email and also gave her a paper copy, but she still had me contact the doctor to resend it. Sadly, she never apologized or returned my calls. On the bright side, the rest of the staff was excellent.

"Not as Great as Hoped: Issues at Excellent Senior Living"

If anyone asked me about my experience at Excellent Senior Living, I’d tell them I wouldn't put a family member there. From what I saw, it’s not excellent, not even mediocre. We picked it because it was close and my mom heard good things from some church members who said it was nice.

"Assisted Living Facility Needs Improved Socialization and Welcoming Procedures"

I didn't see many people talking and making friends at the assisted living place. My dad went there for a week. We planned to arrive at 9am, but the staff didn't know when we were coming. I waited for 4 hours for him to get settled in because the TV and phone weren't set up. They said they'd assign someone to show him around, but I ended up taking him to lunch and finding him a spot with other men. I went back at dinner to check on him. He likes playing bingo, but nobody took him to the game. He's almost 94, and it seemed like nobody paid much attention to him. I visited another place where residents and staff were more social. When I brought him home, he cried and said he was happy to be back. So, I'm still the one taking care of everything. They need to improve their system for welcoming new residents and helping them make friends.

We visited Excellence Senior Living and had a wonderful tour. However, it felt too institutional for our loved one.

The staff listened to our needs and were very accommodating. They were friendly and attentive, doing their jobs well, which we appreciated. I would recommend them to other families.

"Clean, Friendly Assisted Living Worth Recommending"

We convinced her to move in, and she's adjusting well. She loves her clean room and friendly staff. We've had no major issues except a minor hair incident. I'd recommend it to others.

"“Spotless Community with Great Food”"

Our initial experience with Excellence Senior Living was fantastic. The community was spotless, well-lit, and had a strong family focus. The rooms were just right in terms of size, and our loved one really enjoys the food.

"Wonderful place that feels like home!"

My sister has been at Excellence for over a year. The staff is very helpful and caring. My sister wouldn’t be there if [Name], the Executive Director, hadn’t taken a personal interest in her almost every day when she first arrived. She made my sister feel like part of a family and went out of her way to make her feel at home. The place is beautiful, the food is excellent, and the service is better than most assisted living facilities. Thanks for everything you have done. This is a great home away from home.

"Mom's Comfort Missing in Assisted Living Experience"

We toured the facility and sadly, they wouldn't offer a first floor room. They told us there was no air conditioning in the rooms. It seemed like the nursing staff were ignoring our needs. My mom, who uses a walker, was clearly struggling. The overall experience left a lot to be desired. On the positive, the activities room was nicely appointed. Unfortunately, they don't provide transportation for doctor's appointments or any sort of outings. They wouldn't even let my mom use the gym for her essential physical therapy. While the lunch was decent, we had to wait as our meals were served cold. In the end, we're looking elsewhere because my mum didn’t feel comfortable here.

"Peace of Mind"

My mom is doing great since moving here. She really likes it, and I'm so happy for her. The place is new, smells nice, and looks super clean. Housekeeping comes in regularly. The staff is very friendly and kind, and they keep me informed about how mom is doing. Mom loves the food and has joined some activities. They've even taken her shopping, which she enjoys. When we toured the community, it had just opened, so there were few residents, and they offered us a move-in special which helped with the price. Their response was quick compared to other places I contacted.

"Limited Space and Facilities Unsuitable for Mom"

I wouldn't pick this place for Mom. It just has one bedroom without any extra space to chill. You've only got a small kitchen space, not big enough to actually cook anything. I know she won't enjoy living here.

"Wonderful community with caring staff and great activities!"

We really like this community. The staff's care is outstanding. The place is beautiful and very nice. The menu is good, and I’m happy that she likes it. They have great activities that she enjoys a lot. I’m glad she is making friends. The staff is friendly and truly cares about the residents, which shows. This is a newer community, and we would recommend it to other families.

"Beautiful facility with caring staff!"

My grandmother stayed here for respite care, and I felt so comfortable leaving her with the caring staff! The facility is beautiful and brand new, and she loved the food and activities. This was a much better option than hiring someone to come to my home while I was gone—I wouldn't have been able to enjoy my vacation otherwise. We will definitely come back!

"Amazing food, great activities, no complaints!"

Excellence ALF offers so many activities! They’ve done an awesome job, and I’m really happy with everything. The food is delicious—it’s like eating at a restaurant!
