"Mixed Feelings about Assisted Living Facility"
I gave it all 3 stars because it's just okay overall. My dad likes it, which makes me glad. When he arrived, he thought the food was tasty, but lately, it hasn't been as good. There are often new staff members coming in, which isn't great. However, the transportation has always been dependable. Dad also likes how clean they keep the place. Plus, he enjoys the outdoor area.

"Poor Management, Neglected Facilities, Worse Staffing at Assisted Living Home"
This place turned sour after the new boss took charge about a year ago, especially once Fountainview went private. Since then, pretty much all the workers have been replaced. It's super dirty; the carpets and elevator (even the new one) are nasty, and there's terrible upkeep. There are holes in the walls, the AC is busted, ceiling tiles have mold, ceiling frames are rusty, the chair cushions are filthy, and even the main fire alarm and entrance gate are broken. The food here is awful, the service is slow, the food is barely warm, and they keep trying out new menus. They've had three or four different cooks in just a year and a half. When you tell the boss about a problem, she always says it's being fixed, but nothing seems to get done. The nurses are nice, but there aren't enough of them. It's not somewhere I'd tell anyone to go. If you don't believe me, visit Building 5 and see what I mean.

"Assisted Living Facility Frustration: Lack of Communication and Assistance"
My mom doesn't have much money. After a year, they said they'd raise the rent. Mom got really upset, so I emailed Fountainview to explain our money problem. They said I could ask not to have the rent go up. I said yes. I asked not to raise the rent and if there was a way to do it right. I sent them an email. A month has passed and still no answer. I've emailed and called many times. They never answer voicemails or emails. The rent is supposed to go up. It's really frustrating.

"Unfulfilled promises, inexperienced management, missing programs, blamed on fence."
The managers don't know what they're doing. They said they'd make four pickleball courts for my mom, but they haven't done anything yet. The boss says it's because they need a fence.

"Frustrations Boil Over Due to Unfixed Fridge at Assisted Living"
I'm super bummed. I moved here and now a month later, my fridge doesn’t work. I keep butting heads with the guy in charge of fixing things. He only shouts and pins the busted fridge on me. He's rude and tries to scare me, but I won't stand for it. I’ve asked three times for it to get fixed or switched out, and here I am on a Saturday with a fridge that still doesn't work. I've got a car, and when they came by yesterday to fix it, I wasn't there. I don't let anyone in my place when I'm not around, but is this any way to treat a resident? They should care more about keeping appliances like a fridge running. I've talked to the people who should care about this stuff.

"Decent Assisted Living Option"
It’s a pretty good place overall. Not mind-blowing, but definitely not terrible. It’s a pleasant spot and reasonably priced.

"Friendly staff and nice apartment"
We've had a good experience overall, with only a few minor problems. Some of the issues were just part of our loved one adjusting. This has been a good place for him. The staff is really friendly and willing to go above and beyond to help. The people in sales has been great to work with. The apartment is nice.

"Mixed Experience at Fountainview Assisted Living"
I would suggest Fountainview to others. We faced initial issues when Mom moved in. They gave her a wearable help button upon arrival, but it didn't work for three weeks. They fixed it promptly after I raised the issue. Also, they didn't wash her hair for the first four weeks, which concerned me. Once I mentioned these issues, they quickly resolved them. Now, things are better and we haven't had any other problems. The staff is okay, some are nicer than others. Mom enjoys the food a lot. The facility is clean and nice. They keep Mom busy with activities five afternoons a week. Despite initial challenges, I would still recommend them.

"Smaller Facility with Higher Costs Disappoints Layout Preferences"
The tour was good, but I didn't like how the place looked for my loved one. It's a smaller building and the apartments here are much smaller, but they cost more.
