"A Comforting Home for Dad"
This is my dad's third retirement home. Freedom Square is different because it feels personal. The food tastes really good. The staff pays close attention.

"Caring Staff in Memory Care at Freedom Square of Seminole"
In our time at Freedom Square of Seminole’s memory care unit, most of the staff knows about the illness, and I'd say most of them really care about the patients.

"Nice facility but not all-in-one chose another for loved one"
We had a really good tour at Freedom Square of Seminole. It was a nice place, but not everything was in the same building. That's why we decided to go with another option for our loved one.

"Lack of Interaction at Freedom Square Raises Concerns"
The tour at Freedom Square was nice, but the place didn't feel very friendly. I didn't see residents and staff talking much, which could affect how I imagine my loved one living there.

"Not the best, heard about COVID cases here before."
Freedom Square wasn't as nice as other places we checked. Also, we heard about lots of COVID cases here a few months ago, so we were worried about moving our loved one there.

"Terrific care and happy with the facility"
This is a wonderful place, and we're really happy with the care. We didn't check it out at first, but a family member asked us to. A close friend is the Director of Nursing here. The care for my parents is great.

"Great location, but bring your own mattress"
Seminole's Assisted Living Facility is in a great location, with lots of adjacent amenities like a shopping mall, movie theater, and even a grocery store. The studio apartments are big, but it's worth mentioning that I had to bring my own double-sized mattress to really make the room feel comfortable for resting.

"Friendly and Helpful Assisted Living Facility"
We picked this place second, but it was nice. The folks we met were nice and helpful. We had to wait to decide which area our loved one would stay.

"Perfect Choice for Our Family's Needs"
This community is fantastic! The layout is exactly what we wanted. The staff is amazing—very kind and attentive to everyone. My mom is more active than she has been in years, always busy with the fun activities and events they have. She loves the food; it tastes great! The whole place is always clean and well-kept.

"Brookdale Facility Prioritizes Profit Over Quality of Service"
This big company facility is full of paperwork and doesn't care about individual needs! The food was often really BAD and not what my mom asked for. Even when she was in end-of-life care, Freedom Square said all the right things but didn't keep their promises. My mother died in February and they won't give back her money until June! She was paying over $4,000 every month for services and food and didn't get what she paid for! Do your research before choosing a Brookdale property! They just want to make MONEY!

"Beware: Poor Treatment at this Assisted Living Home"
Consider really hard before choosing this assisted living home. The staff showed no kindness to patients or their families in all aspects of care. When we complained to the people in charge about poor treatment, they only pretended to be concerned and promised to fix everything. But it was all just a show, designed to keep taking your relative's insurance money. My family and I had no experience with nursing homes, and we were told this was a top-notch rehab center. I wish we hadn't ever placed our elderly family member here. What we found was heartless treatment, unskilled aides, and unhelpful nurses at every corner. One time, my relative got very sick, and I ended up calling an ambulance to take him to a nearby hospital's emergency room. The nurses or his supposed doctor should have done this, considering how sick he was. I was there every day for hours, always having to ask for things like fresh bedding. In the three and a half weeks he was there, he only got one shower. He had to wait for up to an hour after pressing the nurse button to get pain medicine. Despite a specific time being assigned, sleep medicine was always delivered late. Meals were cold, often never arrived, or were left untouched because staff were nowhere to be found. It was really rare for a nurse or aide to check on my relative while I sat with him. Instead, they walked around the halls gossiping. When he was confused, they would either be mean or ignore him completely. We had to call nearly every night to get him the medicine he needed to sleep. The facility seemed weak and not very clean. After making valid complaints, my dad was ignored by nurses. The main nurse denied that my dad was in a bad state, saying he needed no extra care, despite obvious dehydration and a lack of hygiene. She was rude and snooty, not helpful at all. Doctors at the hospital said he had been really sick and should have been admitted days before. What we saw every day wasn't our imagination, nor were we asking for too much. Please think about your elder's health and happiness before choosing this facility. I'll be sharing my thoughts as much as possible, to spotlight the poor treatment we received.

"Staff Is Very Good"
Most of the nurses and aides are really good. We had a few issues during the holidays, like missed baths and not knowing about some activities, but we’re still adjusting.

"Positive Endorsement for Freedom Square"
Freedom Square is a people-friendly home. I couldn't be happier here. I came to Freedom Square to feel secure in case of any future medical or physical issues. I feel secure. F.S. offers lots of social opportunities with other guests. The meals are excellent. Residents don't have to do any annoying chores of home ownership. Transportation is provided to malls, doctor's offices, churches, and planned activities away from the campus. There are separate facilities for those needing skilled nursing, assisted living, and dementia care. Freedom Square is a continuous care resident community, meaning all possible aging situations are taken care of here.

"Cozy and Caring Assisted Living with Personalized Services"
This place has a really nice, warm atmosphere. It's small, with only 80 beds, which makes it feel more like home. All the services are offered individually, so you can choose what you need.

""
This is the best place we have visited. It feels like a small village and has beautiful grounds. It’s close to cinemas, a shopping mall, and a nice grocery store. Right now, it’s our top choice for a continuing care retirement community.
