"Hanna Oaks: Amazing care, great activities, beautiful facility"

My family and I were nervous about finding the right place for our mom after retirement. We wanted to keep her at home but knew she'd be happier and better cared for in a community. After looking at many places, we found Hanna Oaks and were so impressed. The facility is beautiful, the activities will keep her busy, and the staff is amazing. They really understand how hard this decision is for families. Residents told us the new management has made great improvements. It felt like visiting a great aunt’s house with good company, great food, and fun things to do. Now, we don't worry about Mom because we know she's in good hands. The business office manager even calls us to check in. That's the kind of care we wanted for our mom.

"Best Decision for Mom"

Our family was unsure about our mother moving to an assisted living community after retirement. Although we wanted her with us at home, we realized she'd be better off in a place that suited her needs. Hanna Oaks stood out during our search. The facility is beautiful, the activities keep her busy, and the staff is amazing. They truly understand the challenges of deciding for elderly loved ones. The recent improvements by new management are impressive. It feels like visiting a great aunt's house warm, friendly, with great company and food. We no longer worry about Mom; she's in great hands. The business office manager, even checks in with us. That's the care we expect.

"Best place I've experienced so far!"

I’ve been living here for almost a year, and when I first arrived, it wasn't very nice. But since then, we have new staff and management, and everything is so much better now! There’s new furniture, improved activities, better food, and it’s much cleaner. The new owner comes by often and helps fix any issues we have. I love that there are lots of outdoor areas with grass and trees where I can relax and take walks. My last place only had a concrete parking lot!

"Great care and support for residents"

My aunt lived at this facility for 3 and a half years, and she received excellent care. The staff knew her well and were always kind and attentive. Even though the building is older, the staff works hard to keep it clean and comfortable, and they respond quickly to any requests. The manager was easy to reach and handled any problems right away. The front desk lady was always super sweet to me, my aunt, and all the residents. They were also understanding of our financial situation and never raised the rent, even when my aunt needed more help.

"New Owners, But Lodge Still Smells and Lacks Space"

It seems pretty worn out, and despite someone telling me that new owners are trying to fix the place, it still reeked of pee and mold. And there's hardly any outdoor area.

"Poor Treatment and Mediocre Facility since Wonderful Caregiver Left"

This place used to have an excellent Resident Care Coordinator. She was fantastic, she genuinely cared for each of the residents here. She valued their input and treated them and the staff with great respect. She was one of those rare people who are not only compassionate, but also very knowledgeable. But since she left, the place has gone downhill! The facility itself is mediocre at best. The food is terrible and the way they treat their employees is appalling! This bad treatment also reflects on how the residents are treated. The owners are purely profit driven and have little care for residents. I emphatically do not recommend this place for your loved ones!

"Downhill After Losing Great Coordinator, Bad Food and Treatment!"

This facility used to have a wonderful Resident Care Coordinator. She was the best, really caring for each resident, truly caring about their needs. She treated the residents and staff with real respect, and had great knowledge of her job! After she left, the place went downhill again!!! The facility is passable, nothing more. The food is awful, the employees are treated badly which impacts how they treat the residents. The facility Owners are more interested in making money than caring for people. I definitely wouldn't send my family members here!

"Abysmal Care; Look Elsewhere"

This place is truly terrible. I wouldn't even let my dog live there, let alone a loved one. The food is just about the worst thing - it's cheaper and tastes worse than canned, prison food. The whole facility reeks and it's apparent they're trying to get by with housekeepers disguised as nurses. Don't disillusion yourself by thinking this is a place suitable for any human being's care. Save yourself the heartache - look elsewhere for better care options for your loved ones.

"Doesn't Feel Like a Home: Review of Hannah Oaks Assisted Living"

Roughly 65 seniors live in this institution, which feels cool and impersonal, more like a hospital than a home. There are some unpleasant smells. One part of the building smells as if it's been tainted with feces that weren't cleaned up properly. Another part smells as though there's mold damage. The memory care section is dim, adding to a sense of detachment from the rest of the facility. This wasn't a suitable place for my mother-in-law, despite the administrator's polite and efficient responses to my questions. The costs are reasonable, but it's clear that improvements are needed to make it feel like a cozy and welcoming environment.

"Going Very Well!"

We're very pleased with Hanna Oaks! It's a nice-looking place, the people are friendly, and they take good care of the residents. My father is doing great here and really likes it. I highly recommend them!

"Owners Withhold Funds in Disgusting Assisted Living Home"

This place is genuinely gross to call home. The rooms are totally unsightly and give off a terrible smell. The employees are underpaid and clearly dissatisfied with their roles. The owners are greedy, money-hungry individuals who refuse to reinvest the money they get from the old residents into improving the facility.

"Mixed Feelings about Hanna Oaks Assisted Living"

The people who work at Hanna Oaks are really nice. The managers, therapists, and caregivers are friendly and try hard to make everyone happy, both the residents and their families. Sometimes, there’s a strong smell of pee, but overall, they keep the place very clean, including the rooms where the residents live. They listen when you give them ideas. The parking lot used to be too dark and scary at night. I wrote a note and put it in their suggestion box asking for more lights. They fixed it the next week. The biggest problem (and my family member agrees) is that it’s boring for the people who live there. They have someone in charge of activities who plans at least two things to do every day. But honestly, they’re not very exciting: Bingo, old movies, remembering things, praying, sitting and moving in a chair, and more. I think Trivia seems like it might be fun, but I haven’t seen it. One person left because they were so bored. Last week, they had a cookout, which sounded like it was fun. I hope they come up with better things to do that make the residents think and move more. I also think having a room where people can exercise would be good for their energy and feeling better.

"Great staff, but boring place"

The staff at Hanna Oaks is amazing. They're friendly and always try to make residents and families happy. The facility is usually clean, but sometimes there's a strong urine smell. They listen to suggestions, like fixing the poorly lit parking lot. However, the residents find it boring. The activities are uninteresting, and some people have even moved out because of it. A fun cook-out happened last week, though. An exercise room could help!

"Hanna Oaks: A Lifesaver for Mom"

While searching for a good place for my Mom, I knew that 'Location, Location, Location' mattered most. I visited Hanna Oaks because it's close to her church and just a short walk from her home of 40 years. The staff and rooms were friendly and suitable, though not perfect. The private room I picked was affordable and perfect for Mom. The Administrator even let me decorate it with her favorite things (she loves butterflies). They liked her room so much that they show it to others during tours. Mom has mild dementia and limited mobility, so Assisted Living was recommended by her doctors. I live upstairs and work full time, and my home wasn't suitable for her needs. At first, Mom was confused and not very social, but now she calls Hanna Oaks her 'home.' She has many friends, and the staff adore her. She's the social butterfly of the group, and her 'church family' visits often. I'm on a first-name basis with the staff and most residents. We even have 'snack parties' when I visit. I love Hanna Oaks! It might not be for everyone, but it saved my Mother's life and gives me peace knowing she's well cared for.

"Homey and Welcoming Assisted Living - Perfect for Mom"

Looking for the right home for Mom was crucial. I thought about "Location, Location, Location" and chose Hanna Oaks, just four blocks from her church and less than half a mile from her 40-year home. The staff and rooms were nice, though not perfect. Mom's private room was cozy and affordable, and I could decorate it with her favorite things, like butterflies. They even show off her room to others touring the place! Mom has mild dementia and limited mobility, so assisted living was recommended. Living and working full time upstairs, my home wasn't suitable for her. At first, Mom felt confused and distant, but now she calls Hanna Oaks her "home." She's made many friends, and the staff adore her. She's the social butterfly of the group, and her church family visits often. I've become close with the staff and residents, often having snack parties when I visit. I love Hanna Oaks! It might not be everyone's cup of tea, but it saved my Mother's life, and I'm at peace knowing she's well cared for.
