"Highland Place: Welcoming Care and Lovely Apartments"
Even though I haven’t visited Highland Place personally, other families have shared positive feedback. During the tour, our loved one felt welcomed by both staff and residents. She enjoys her three daily meals, and staff members even check on her if she misses a mealtime. The care and staff are wonderful. The only drawback is that it’s a smaller place with fewer amenities. Still, our loved one has a lovely apartment and is settling in nicely.

"Highland Place: A Caring and Kind Assisted Living Facility"
Highland Place has been a blessing for me and my family. We had a bad experience with my mom’s old assisted living in Orlando, so we moved her here to be closer to me. The difference between the two places is huge. At Highland Place, everyone is caring and kind. My mom’s health has gotten better since she arrived, and the chef always makes sure she’s happy with her food. She’s a picky eater, so he asked me what she likes and keeps an eye on her. One night, we were at an event, and he came in and said, “Your mom won’t eat this,” then ran to the kitchen to make her something else. Everyone I’ve met here is amazing. I can finally sleep at night knowing my mom is in good hands. The director, is very hands-on and always knows what’s going on with my mom. She communicates with us really well. I highly recommend Highland Place in Inverness.

"Supportive Community with Helpful Staff but No Indoor Smoking"
We were very happy with our tour of this lovely place. After our loved one’s first month here, she is still getting used to the change. Moving from her own home to living with caretakers all the time is very different for her. The people at Highland Place have been patient and kind during this change, and I’m sure everything will be fine. One thing to know is that there is no smoking allowed inside the building at all. She has to walk outside to a bench that is a bit far from the door to smoke. She has been a smoker all her life and now needs the people at Highland Place to walk with her and stay with her. If I had known this, I might have looked at a different place. We are very grateful for the extra attention they have given our loved one and for helping with her smoking. I would recommend Highland Place to others looking for care for their loved ones.

"No Indoor Smoking"
We were happy with our tour of this nice community. After our loved one's first month here, she's still getting used to the change. Moving from her own home to a place with 24/7 care is very different for her. The people at Highland Place have been patient and kind during this time, and I believe everything will be fine. One thing to know is that there's no smoking allowed inside. She has to go outside to a bench far from the door to smoke. As a lifelong smoker, she now needs the folks at Highland Place to walk and stay with her. If I had known this, I might have looked at other places. We're very thankful for the extra care they give her and how they accommodate her smoking. I would recommend Highland Place to others looking for care options.

"Clean and Welcoming Community!"
I don’t have any complaints about our tour of this community with my dad. The property was clean, and they had lots of great amenities for all the residents. I liked the open floor plan, which made it easy to get around the building. Overall, it was a great place, but unfortunately not the right location for my dad.

"Very homey feel!"
We didn't pick this community due to the cost, but it's beautifully maintained. Inside, it's comfy and homey. The staff is friendly and gave us a thorough tour.

"Adjustments Needed For A Better Assisted Living Experience"
Mom's Transition to Assisted Living: Mostly Smooth, Some Hurdles." My mom is starting to adapt to assisted living. She seems happier now. However, they need to handle oxygen tanks better. She stays in her room because it's too hard to manage her oxygen tank in the dining area. When I'm there, I assist her. On other days, the staff kindly deliver her meals to her room. There were some medication snafus. But, she enjoys her meals and likes that there are alternate options. All the girls are friendly and cooperative. They help her bath, take care of cleaning, and also do laundry. I wish they gave out a monthly newsletter detailing the menu and activities. Right now, they only have an activities board on each floor and dining room menu.

"Great meals and activities!"
The meals and dining experience are excellent! The chef always makes new and exciting dishes for my loved one. The activities are great, with lots of musical events for the residents. I suggest the community get a backup generator for emergencies and safety, especially since it’s a two-story building.

"Great place with friendly staff and nice rooms!"
The rooms here are nice and open with plenty of space. The outside area is good, with two porches to sit and enjoy. The director, staff, and other residents are all really friendly. I couldn't have asked for a better place.

Highland Place has been a wonderful home for my loved one. I needed more help than I could give, and I found this loving, clean, and happy community. Our search for a nicer, cleaner senior living home ended when we found Highland Place.

I checked out all the assisted living places in Inverness to find the best one for my 88-year-old mom. First impressions really mattered to me. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and skilled, the place was super clean, and they had medical services right there, plus restaurant-style meals with lots of choices. Highland Place had everything I was looking for, and it made the decision easy. It’s a great mix of convenience, care, and peace of mind. Highland Place is definitely the best choice for you and your family!

I'm the person in charge of decisions for one of the residents at Highlands. I really like how friendly and cozy it feels there. Everyone seems cheerful and ready to lend a hand. It's neat and tidy, the food tastes great, and the area around the facility is lovely!

"Wonderful Home for Mom"
When looking for a new home for Mom, we checked out every assisted living facility in the area. Highland Place was clearly our favorite. The food is great, the apartments are very clean, and the grounds are lovely. The atmosphere is pleasant and inviting. Mom enjoys the activities and has made many friends. The best thing about Highland Place is the friendly, caring staff. Mom is treated with dignity, respect, and kindness by everyone. I visit her several times a week and always find the same level of excellence. It gives me peace of mind knowing she is so well cared for. I highly recommend Highland Place to anyone looking for a great place to live.

Overall, our experience with Highland Place has been great! The staff are very friendly and wonderful. Anything we've asked them to help with, they've been happy to do. The facility is nice, well kept, and clean. They take great care of the people who live here!

We checked out a bunch of places for Mom before choosing Highland Place. From the moment we walked in, it felt like a real home. Mom has been there for several months, and our first impression was right. The staff is super friendly, caring, and skilled. Whenever we have to leave town for a few days, we’re confident Mom will be well taken care of.

"Good decision for Mom"
When my sister and I realized Mom couldn’t live alone anymore, we were lucky to find Highland Place. We were really impressed by what we saw. The place was welcoming, bright, and sunny with a super friendly staff. Mom has been living here for over a year now. She stays busy with daily activities and even enjoys lunch at nearby restaurants sometimes. I live close and visit her twice a week. The staff always greets me with a smile and gives me updates on how Mom is doing. Last night, I had dinner with her and we watched ballroom dancing after. We feel good about the choice we made for Mom.

"A Very Special Place for Mom"
Leaving a parent is tough, especially when you can’t be there. My mom and I visited Highland Place for lunch and a tour. Everyone was warm and welcoming, and the lunch was delicious. They have the cleanest kitchen I’ve ever seen. All the food is fresh—no frozen meals here! We enjoyed some activities and saw the room my mom would have if she chose to stay. Highland Place is small, personal, and super clean, with dedicated and professional staff. When a medical issue came up, they took great care of my mom, and everything was fine. Mom is excited to go back on my next visit. This is a very special place.
