Lamplight Inn of Fort Myers

"A great choice for mom!"
My mom moved into Lamplight about eight weeks ago. She was tough to place because she thought she could do everything on her own. Lamplight felt like the right fit for her. It took a long time to decide, but we know we made the right choice. She needed help with her medications and diet. Since living at Lamplight, Mom has gained about 15 pounds. She is in the memory care unit because of her condition. We are very happy with all the care services at Lamplight. We truly made the best decision. Thank you.

"Improper Care despite Neat Surroundings!"
My sibling was at this place for nearly a week and got hurt quite a few times. They weren't looking after him as well as they should have. The people working here were friendly enough, but they just weren't giving the right care. The area itself was tidy and orderly though.

"Great Care for Loved Ones"
My brother loves it here. The staff is awesome and caring. The place is super clean, which makes me really happy. They have activities that keep him busy, and he loves them a lot. I think others should check out this great place for excellent care.

"Subpar Care Experienced, Improvement Temporal at Lamplight"
Lamplight didn't live up to my expectations for my husband's care. The staff and management kept changing. When I complained, things got better for a bit and then went downhill again. There were a few employees who actually cared for him. Things may be better now that he's left, so this place might deserve another chance. The place was always clean though.

"Assisted Living Facility Review"
I visited this place, and it was good. It looks neat and tidy. The people working there were nice and helpful, they answered my questions. Overall, it was a nice tour, but I didn't think it would suit my mom's needs.

"Quality Care, Welcoming Environment"
My mom's doing good in memory care. Place's nice, staff's helpful. Lots of fun stuff for her. Food's good too, she's happy. I'd say go for it, they take good care of her. All's well here.

"Wonderful Care Overall"
The staff is wonderful—kind, thoughtful, and genuinely caring. The food is excellent, and the rooms are spacious, clean, and lovely. However, more activities are needed. Most seem geared toward lower-functioning individuals, leaving my higher-functioning mother bored.

"Pleasant Living at Lamplight Inn: Dad's Happy, Staff Helpful"
We really like the Lamplight Inn in Fort Myers. The people who work here are nice, and they help my dad a lot. The place is always clean, but it costs quite a bit. They have lots of fun things for the residents to do, which is good. Overall, we're happy that my dad is happy here.

"Friendly, Caring, and Personalized Care at Lamplight Inn"
I really appreciate how Lamplight Inn of Fort Myers focused on my dad’s specific needs. They were much friendlier, more personal, and more helpful than any other place we checked out. Overall, our experience with Lamplight Inn has been great, and I would definitely recommend them!

"Outdated Facility with Limited Space for Memory Care Activities"
This place is really old, with worn out furniture. There's only one pathway and two tiny rooms for activities in the memory care section.

"brackets"
Rewrite this 4 star review of an assisted living facilities retaining the tone and using 8th grade level american English: 'They take really good care of both my parents. They are concerned a lot for their well-being. The one thing where they really could improve is the food. Dad says the food is just awful, and I don't think he's alone. Other than the food, everything about Lamplight Inn of Fort Myers is wonderful.' then create a headline (in 10 words or less and placed in double ) that summarizes the review and resembles 'taking good care of my parents' .

"Activities Don't Match the Age Range of Residents"
They don't make enough activities for grown-ups at this assisted living place. It feels like they're all meant for kids in kindergarten! And they keep repeating the same ones. It's pretty rare to see people having fun and laughing during these activities. Why don't we have more things to do on Sundays? And what about in the evenings? Watching some movies at night could be fun. I think the person in charge of the activities only picks stuff that doesn't match our age group.

"Disappointing Experience Amid Safety Feature Transition"
We chose this place because of the emergency call-button necklaces for the residents. They had these, but said they were upgrading to a better brand. During this switch, we found our family member unconscious and soiled in her bed, unable to call for help. We removed her from the facility right away. They were also switching management companies, but that's no excuse. The buildings were nice to look at and well organized, but after such a poor experience, I can't vouch for them.

"Absolutely No-Stars for This Shoddy Assisted Living Facility"
This facility absolutely doesn't deserve any stars. The plumbing was terrible but the food was the only thing I found bearable. My overall experience was dreadful. The place is run by dishonest, trickster people. I couldn't recommend it to anyone with a clear conscience. Despite their advertisement of a community fee, it just isn't fair. Sure, they made an enticing offer on price and deposit - that's why we selected it. Shockingly, there was a broken back door in the room that wouldn't open. Not only an inconvenience, but also a fire hazard. Personal safety and care seemed to miss the mark, as they left him linger in his room. In terms of activities, it was a huge letdown. All they offered was a tiny 6x6 room packed with women playing games like Pokeno and Bingo. Not a single male resident in sight. Simply put, the place needs serious modifications. Their polite facades and charms are merely a ruse to lure you in." .

"Friendly Staff, Dated Facility: Mixed Experience at Assisted Living"
My friend living there likes the food, but the building looks old. Cleanliness seems okay. Staff seems nice during a visit, but day-to-day matters. Nurses at Emeritus are helpful, but some tasks aren't done for all residents. Nurses I met were professional. They organize games and outings.

"Lack of Care and Activities at Facility"
Pretty much like The Lakes, the residents aren't cared for. They were left outside in wheelchairs with no interaction. Zero activities! I expected a lot more stimulation. It was hard to find anyone to speak to, I had to search the whole place alone without even a check-in.

"Enhance Activities for Seniors!"
This place is mostly great, but the activities need some sprucing up. They've got bingo and music events, but it feels like they could add more variety to keep the older folks busy and interested.

"Wonderful Place for Your Loved Ones"
They're amazing! I don't know much about the activities because my mom doesn't join them, but they seem to have a lot going on when I visit. I can't think of anything I don't like about it. I really like the staff and how the place is set up. Everyone is super friendly, even the residents. I think it's a great place and I'd recommend it to anyone!

"Caring Staff Elevates This Community"
The workers were super nice and always ready to lend a hand. The rest of the place was alright, kinda like an old hotel where rooms open to outside. But it's really the staff that makes this spot special.

Unfortunately, Emeritus didn't know I was coming. Someone didn't follow up, but they were very gracious. They spent a lot of time with me, answered many questions, and were eager to help with my sister's needs.
