"Great place with turnover concerns and deposit considerations"
Overall, I think the place is great. The only issue I see is too much staff turnover, sometimes affecting resident care and activity availability. Would like outdoor shuffleboard and a lower deposit for seniors.

"Activities and Safety Need Attention, Overall Good Experience"
The activities during the day should be more suitable for people who may not understand regular routines well, and there should be activities specifically designed for men. It would be nice to have activities outside on the patio when it's warm. If the front door is going to remain open, there should always be an employee at the front desk to ensure that residents who shouldn't be outside alone are kept safe. Apart from these concerns, my experience has been really good!

"Assisted Living Facility Review: Clean, Friendly Staff, Good Meals, Affordable Care"
Mom has only been at the assisted living facility for just over a week. The staff is friendly, and the place is kept very clean. The meals they serve look good, and I appreciate that every resident gets a call button to wear. Mom had to use hers already, and it was helpful. The prices for care here are better than at most other places.

"Great staff and helpful, friendly community."
Mom’s stay at Forest Manor was cut short because she fell and is now in the hospital. We hope she can return after some rehab, but we're not sure. My experience with the community was excellent! The staff is friendly and helpful, and we had no issues at all. Mom is 90, and falling is just part of aging. We hope she can go back and are so glad we found this place with help from Amy Adamski at A Place For Mom.

"Food Budget Needs Improvement, Great Activities Overall"
This place is okay, but the food budget seems small. They should have more money for food. The activities are fun though.

"Forest Lake Assisted Living: Decent Staff, Needs Better Cleanliness"
Forest Lake is alright. The people who work there are friendly, but they don't have enough staff, so they keep losing workers. The place could be cleaner, but they don't have many workers available to keep it tidy.

"Avoid this place: Unfit living conditions and incompetent management!"
This place is straight-up bad and might go nuts before they're shut down. Only 15-20 out of 80 beds have folks in them. They're low on cash, so they're taking away food money and bingo prizes. The food isn't fit to eat, it's flat-out dirty here and the people in charge couldn't manage themselves out of a paper bag, let alone a place like this. They've even been caught trying to cheat. They got health aids giving out med and one of them lied on the paperwork last week! TV remotes don't work and no one’s smart enough to make them work. Their way of charging people is awful and even after 14 times of asking, there’s no record of the trust fund. Every doctor we talked to said this place is really messed up and to get out ASAP. They can't even afford phones in the rooms and it's pull-your-hair-out annoying to get anyone on their main line. They've taken away food money and bingo prizes! Get away from this place fast!
