"Negligent staff and poor services at Oasis under 428 Healthcare."
Mom was really content at Oasis when it was still called Margate Manor. Then, 428 Healthcare took over. The food was not good anymore. They were slow with giving out meds or sometimes forgot. Their air conditioning broke for two days. Once it was fixed, it was set too high to save cash. Their solution for Mom to ask for help was to shout in the hallway. Long-term staff, some with 10, 15 years under their belt, either quit or got fired. The worst part was when Mom had to visit the hospital. When she returned, my sister met the ambulance at Oasis. There was no one at the reception. They left Mom on a mat on her bed. We returned two hours later, after multiple unanswered calls to the front desk, Mom was in wet clothes and hadn't eaten. The same thing happened two days after. We complained. Oasis responded by saying Mom, who was back in the hospital, had to leave within 24 hours.

"Declining Quality of Care and Service at Assisted Living Facility"
My mom lived at this assisted living facility for seven years and it was fantastic, but it's changed. All because 428 Health Care purchased it. Nurses quit one after the other and got replaced by med techs. They even yanked the phones right out of the residents' rooms. My mom was instructed that, if she needed assistance, just stick her head outside and shout. It's as if staff are always scarce. Calling and getting a hold of someone is like winning the lottery. When I visited my mom this past Sunday, I found her in bed without the top sheet and stained beddings, plus her bathroom was smelly and filthy. I stopped by to get some items for mom when she got hospitalized, but they just told me to clear out her room immediately. No shock there, given the terrible attitude of , the in-charge. Also, plenty of complaints come in about the terrible food - just sandwiches for supper. They don't have any amenities now and the fun activities, like happy hours and events, are no more. They just sit the residents down in front of a TV for exercise videos.

"Quality care falls as Margate Manor chases profits"
Margate Manor, now owned by 428 Healthcare, is making drastic changes. They are reducing hours, amenities, and the quality of meals. Long-standing employees of 10, 17, and 19 years have either been fired or have resigned. What they claim on their website is false!!! They don't offer Chair Yoga exercise, off-site activities, happy hour, or entertainment. They just took away all the landline phones from the residents' rooms. The food is poorer in quality and the selection is very limited. Residents aren't being given their medications on time, so most have to go to the nurse's station to get their own. They are simply reducing the level of care and making more money!!! Steer clear from this facility at all times..... If I could rate it zero, I would, but I was made to give ones!!!

"Caring community with spacious rooms and great dining"
This is a nice small older community with big rooms. Some rooms have a pretty lake view, porch, and kitchen. The dining area is large and bright. The chef’s food is very good and there’s a lot of variety. Since it’s a small community, you don’t get lost in the shuffle and get more personal attention. The staff and management are very caring and go out of their way to make it feel like home. They take care of laundry and all housekeeping needs.

"Lackluster Assisted Living Facility Falls Short in Care and Cleanliness"
This place has some serious issues. First off, some of the caregivers are way too rough when moving patients in wheelchairs. They need to learn some patience and treat people more gently. When it comes to emergencies, they do okay, but don't expect much help with things like showering or laundry. They're too relaxed and not very attentive. The food is terrible. It's often cold or just warm, rarely hot. I've seen it make a lot of people sick. Sometimes it's even undercooked. And there's not much variety in activities - same old stuff all the time. The place isn't very clean either. Sometimes it's downright dirty. You might end up waiting 30 to 45 minutes just to get your food, and forget about any special dietary needs - they don't accommodate those well at all.

"Underwhelming Care and Poor Food at Assisted Living Facility"
The CNA at this assisted living facility is rough and impatient with maneuvering the wheelchairs. The care is just okay but when it comes to emergencies, they fall short. Basic needs such as showering and laundry services felt nonchalant and weren't attended to promptly. The food quality is poor and has made a lot of residents feel unwell. It's served lukewarm, not hot, and there were instances when the food was undercooked. In terms of activities, it's the same thing over and over - there's no variety. Cleanliness is another issue; the facility rarely meets sanitation standards. And to add to it, you sometimes have to wait 30 to 45 minutes to receive your food. I wouldn't recommend this facility unless they make changes, especially with their food.

"Friendly staff, good food; older building but well-maintained."
We really like it here. It's not too big, so it feels cozy. The food tastes good. The people who work here are nice, and they're good at giving medicine. The building is old, but they make sure everything still works.
