"Unsatisfactory Care and Financial Issues at Assisted Living Facility"

We weren't happy with this assisted living place. It was kinda clean, but we weren't sure they gave good care. A guy broke his hip only two weeks after moving in and had to be taken to a hospice, where he passed away. They never assessed his needs the way they should've before he went in. The day he moved in, they suddenly asked for more money. We even had to drag the company bosses into it. The whole experience was bad. We definitely wouldn't recommend it."

"Disappointing Tour of Unkempt Assisted Living Facility"

When my family visited this assisted living facility, we immediately didn't like it. It wasn't clean and the girl who guided us was dressed really casually, not like a professional. Plus, when we saw an elderly person having a hard time wheeling herself to the cafeteria, our guide didn't help her, even though we were right there.

"Unhealthy Conditions at Assisted Living Facility"

This place was filthy and disgusting. I entered my father's room and found his bathroom littered with pee and poop. The living space was sprinkled with crushed chips across the floor. I strongly suggest that you don't allow any family members to reside in this facility.

"Great layout for activities at Pacifica Ocala!"

I have an exercise and art class at Pacifica every Friday. The layout is perfect for activities. Everything is on one level, so residents can walk right into the activities from their apartments. It’s great not to have to take an elevator or go to a far corner. If I ever need assisted living, I would choose Pacifica Ocala.

We needed an assisted living facility for our mother. After reviewing five places in Ocala, we chose Pacifica. Our decision was based on finances, cleanliness, levels of care, and especially the superior personal care and attention the staff provides. From our first visit, the staff, nurses, and CNAs showed compassion and commitment to her.

"Great place and staff, but better for assisted living."

The facility is nice, and the staff are friendly. However, it seems like it's more focused on helping people who need assistance rather than those who can manage on their own, which is what my mom needs right now. Around 20% of the people who live there are fully independent, and a few more need just a little help with things.

"Great place for my mom!"

I visited the facility to find a place for my mom. The tour went really well, and the person showing us around was super helpful. She answered all my questions and knew a lot about veteran's benefits. The marketer invited me to bring my mom back for lunch and to the family night. I know my mom will take her time deciding, but when she does move, it will be to Pacifica. They have everything she needs.

"Great care and smooth move to Pacifica"

Moved my dad here from another facility out of state. [Name removed] made the move so much easier than I ever thought possible. My only regret is not moving him to Pacifica sooner. They take great care of my dad. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a wonderful facility for their loved one.

I just moved my dad here from another facility and couldn't be happier! They care for him better than I hoped for. They even threw a party for his 104th birthday, and the paper came out to take pictures. I can rest easy knowing he has the best care in Ocala.

"Fun Family Night at Pacifica!"

We just went to our first family night at Pacifica, and it was amazing! They had a Casino Night theme that made it so much fun! There was a Las Vegas-style buffet, live music, and cool prizes to win. People from Kindred were there to answer my questions about hospice for my mom. I'm so happy we chose Pacifica for her; she loves it there!

We just moved our dad into this facility. Even though he gives them a hard time, he really enjoys it there. He loves the food and has no complaints, which is great since he is a picky eater! I am so glad we chose Pacifica.

"Great place for my aunt and her dog!"

My aunt lives there and loves it! She wouldn’t move unless she could bring her little dog, and they made that happen! If she needs help with her dog, the staff is there for her. They even do physical therapy with both of them. We really love Pacifica for my aunt. She is so happy there!

My wife and I visited this place for my mom, who is in rehab. She didn’t want to move, but when the staff talked to her, she started to warm up to the idea. We plan to bring her for lunch and to meet everyone. This is where we definitely want her to be.

"Transition has been great"

The staff at Pacifica has been amazing. They have taken special care of our mom, and she's adjusting really well to her new home, thanks to the kind and caring staff. She enjoys the healthy, well-planned meals, and we’ve even joined her for lunch and dinner, which were great. Her apartment is roomy and comfortable, and she can control the temperature, which is really important for her. The staff has been super helpful during this big change, and she’s happy she chose Pacifica.

"Poor Staff Management and Security Concerns at Assisted Living"

It's easy to see that the staff isn't managed well for each shift. I've seen clean laundry that's been mismarked and delivered to the wrong rooms. Why isn't there better checking of the cleaned clothes and bed sheets? Also, the building itself isn't safe. They never lock the side door.

Just moved my 96-year-old dad from independent living to Pacifica. The first day was rough, but now he's slowly adjusting. Tonya's team is wonderful, and he loves and trusts his care person, Peggy. I know with more time and the help of the staff, he will adjust to his new home and enjoy it.

"A Home, Not Just a Facility"

My sister and I recently visited Pacifica Senior Living Ocala looking for a place for our dad. What we found was more than just a facility—it felt like a home. From the moment we arrived, I knew this place was special. Despite the busy lunch hour, the staff greeted us warmly and made time to help us. They clearly love what they do and are always ready to help. We met the Activities Director, who gave us a full tour. She showed us different room types and the beautiful garden area. He explained all the activities they offer, both inside and outside the facility. We even got a calendar of events. During our visit, we spoke with some of the residents who were all in high spirits. Many of them had been to other facilities but finally felt at home here. After the tour, He answered all our questions and explained their philosophy. We felt that the staff would treat our dad with dignity and always look out for his best interests. What really sold me was seeing the Executive Director, Tonya, outside chatting and laughing with residents. It showed real commitment and family values from the top down. During our second visit for breakfast, my dad and I got to experience the warm community atmosphere again. Our server was prompt, and the food was delicious. We talked to more residents who shared how happy they were. My dad even entertained her with his jokes. After breakfast, we met the receptionist, who helped us with the enrollment process and getting our dad's room ready. Throughout this process, everyone at Pacifica Senior Living Ocala impressed us with their friendliness and professionalism. I’ve been back several times to prepare my dad's room, and each time, staff members offered help and kind words. They all made us feel like part of their family. In conclusion, I highly recommend touring Pacifica Senior Living Ocala. It's a wonderful place with a caring and dedicated team.

"Fun Atmosphere, But Meal Schedule is Too Strict"

When we arrived, they were having a Cinco de Mayo party. The residents seemed to enjoy themselves and have fun. We toured this place three times because it was under construction and it was hard to see everything. I didn't like the strict meal times. Dinner was from 7:30 to 9, and if you missed it, there were no accommodations and they wouldn't bring it to your room.
