"Mixed feelings about Presidential Place for our loved one."
Our family visited Presidential Place in person, and we thought the tour and the place were nice. However, we didn't think it would be the best choice for our loved one.

"Mixed Feelings about Presidential Place Assisted Living"
My mom likes staying there. The place is generally clean. I like it mostly, but there are some issues. The staff are friendly, but sometimes they don't understand English well. The food isn't good; it's often too salty and they mess up her order sometimes. It's improving, but still needs work. Considering the price we pay, we expect better. Also, the cost has gone up, which we're not happy about. Retirees have fixed incomes and other expenses. A Place for Mom was great in helping us find it. Overall, it's okay. They're kind to my mom. However, sometimes her things go missing. Small repairs take forever to fix. I've had to clean her room myself, so housekeeping could improve. There's room for improvement in certain areas.

"Memory Care Shines with Excellent Activities and Care, Happy Residents"
The assisted living facility's memory care section receives high praise for its excellent food and variety of activities. Residents are well cared for, entertained, and included in community activities alongside assisted living residents. The director of memory care is particularly noted for excellent communication and responsiveness to families' questions, contributing to the overall happiness of residents.

"Disappointing Assisted Living Facility Fails to Meet Expectations"
My relative doesn't like living there. She dislikes early mornings for showers and the early bedtime to get help. The food isn't good, and others aren't friendly. The TV only has 2 channels, and the WIFI isn't reliable. They don't send her bill to insurance, so it's costly. Overall, it's very disappointing.

"The facility has food and activity issues."
They offer bingo and card games, but it's mostly older activities. The dining room needs an upgrade. The food isn't always as listed on the menu, and the meat is often overcooked especially the chicken. Sometimes they miss serving people.

"Good place, needs better food"
This place feels really warm and welcoming. The people are very friendly, and it's a great community. My loved one was happy here, but things are changing because of staffing shortages and changes in the food. My loved one doesn't like the food now. I would recommend this place, but many residents don't like the food, and that's the only issue. If the food got better, everyone would be really happy.

"Great location and cleanliness make this facility a top choice"
We picked Presidential Place because it’s close by, so we can visit frequently. It’s also very clean and pleasant. I would suggest this place to anyone looking for a good facility.

"Mixed Feelings with Welcoming Atmosphere at Assisted Living"
Mostly happy despite Covid questions and communication issues. The facility is attractive, like condos, welcoming unlike others. Mom loves some staff but not all. Food is bland, but she enjoys activities.

"Assisted Living Needs Better Management, But Overall Clean and Friendly"
This place is really tidy and the people who work here are nice. But I wish the bosses would do more stuff for the people who live here. They could definitely improve.

"Limited medical resources; not recommended for others based on experience."
Watch out, this place is for assisted living only. They don't have much medical help available. I wouldn't suggest this community to others after what I went through.

"Pricey Westward Facility Lacks Independent Living and Proper Kitchens"
My dad isn't fond of the place; he wishes it was more towards the west. The cost is a bit more than we expected because the place caters to assisted living and Alzheimer's patients, not those who can live fully independently. This is an issue because my dad can look after himself. They serve three meals every day but their mini-kitchens in the units only have a fridge and a microwave, no stove.

"Perfect Fit for Mom’s Memory Care Needs"
This assisted living facility feels like a hotel. They have two 14-person wings just for memory care, which is perfect for our Mom. She has dementia and tends to wander. We’re very happy with the environment here. It’s clean, well-kept, and has a friendly atmosphere. We were invited to have lunch in the dining room, and the food was very good. The residents and visitors seemed happy and friendly. There was even a bingo game in the rec room.

"Promised Services Not Delivered at Presidential Place"
My family member used to live at Presidential Place, but it quickly became clear that this place wasn't right for us. We were promised many things that were not delivered after we moved in. For instance, on arrival, we couldn't open the freezer because it needed defrosting. The repair guy said we'd get a new freezer the following day, but it never showed up. Even when we moved out two weeks later, the new freezer hadn't arrived. In addition, we requested that my family member be given showers daily and we were guaranteed this service. But this didn't happen either. There were several days when my family member remained without a bath. The care provided here simply was not up to par.

"Did Not Give Off A Welcoming Feeling"
This community looked very nice, but from the moment we walked in until we left, it felt like something was missing. The property lacked personality, and nothing stood out compared to other places we visited. When communities have similar prices, you want unique features. Unfortunately, I didn't feel welcome or at home. The staff was friendly and professional, though.

"Tour Was Good, But Not Right for My Mom"
The tour we took was okay, but it didn’t feel like a good fit for my mom. The community seemed nice, the staff was friendly, and there were plenty of activities. The person who showed us around answered all our questions well and was on time for our appointment.

"Assisted Living Delivers Comfort and Care"
The staff at this place is really friendly, fun, and professional. I was happy to see that they knew my mom's name within just three days. The people who give out medicine were really careful to make sure they had all the right info from the doctor, and they were quick to get any updates. It's great how they work closely with the pharmacy to make sure everything gets to us on time. My mom seems a lot less stressed and much happier here.

"Spotless and Friendly!"
The place is super clean, and the staff is super friendly. They're really quick to help with any concerns or requests. I wish they'd bring the memory care residents to the lobby entertainment without needing a private caregiver. We loved how it looked initially—so neat and elegant.

"A Memorable Stay at the Presidential Place"
Our time at the Presidential Place was great. Everything was super clean, and both the staff and other guests were friendly. The highlight of my brother-in-law's stay was the Hungarian chef who sang Hungarian songs with her. Her eyes would light up when he sang. Big thanks to everyone at the Presidential Place!

"Presidential Place Offers Great Care for Mom"
Presidential Place seems like a great choice for my mom. The nurses and support staff pay attention to her needs, and the rooms are clean and spacious. While there's no indoor walking area, there's a sidewalk just outside the security gate where residents can walk in groups or with the activity director. The diverse cultural background of the residents works well. We haven't made a commitment yet, as we're also considering other options not on the current list and in-home care.

"Furnishing Requirements Deterred Me"
I was going to go to the Presidential. They wanted me to buy a bed and a dresser and pay $100 a month for diapers. Plus, you had to bring your own sheets. I didn't want to do that. Besides that, it's a really nice place.

"Phenomenal food, fun events, and caring staff—highly recommended!"
Presidential Place is incredible! Ivy goes above and beyond, and the food is top-notch, with a gourmet chef who even made me a corned beef sandwich—something no other place offered. They have plenty of trips, like going to Target, local shopping, and even Kmart. There are also fun events, like visiting Ft. Lauderdale Beach and casinos, at least twice a week. They always have fresh ideas for activities. We’ve saved a lot of money, and the rooms are huge and very nice. After working hard, it feels great to say, “Now I live here.” They call it the Taj Mahal, and it truly is!
