"Long waits, understaffed, poor management and insufficient care."
The personnel here weren't interested in giving me any bathing assistance. I'm 87 and I only require some little help so I don't have an accident. I managed to get bathed only once every half-month after pleading. Often I waited for over sixty minutes for meals, that'd cooled down, to be served in the dining hall. The facility was frequently understaffed. The leaders kept changing on a regular basis. My stay here was short, I lasted only two months and then left. I was not happy with my experience.

"Disappointing Experience at Rose Castle Assisted Living"
Wow. I don't understand some of the good reviews here. Rose Castle was okay until about 8 months ago. The staff changes a lot, and they are very unfriendly. They don't take good care of people. I wish I could show you my pictures, but I can't give away too much now. To the people who wrote good reviews, if you're real, you should spend more time there and see for yourself. Open your eyes.

"Warning Signs"
In an assisted living facility, my mom had a fall one night. Despite pressing her call button repeatedly, no one came to her aid. Thankfully, her roommate stepped in to seek help. The staff has been reduced, and those remaining seem clueless and unresponsive. To top it off, the food is downright terrible. If you’re considering this place for your loved one, think twice—we’re actively searching for an alternative for Mom.

This place felt more like a nursing home than a cozy home. The staff were friendly, and the residents seemed content, but it wasn't what we wanted. We don't require the intense care options they offer here

"Kind Staff, But the Bad Smell is a Deal-Breaker"
I recently checked out this place for a family member and the smell inside wasn’t good. The people working there were really nice and gave me and my mom all the important info we needed. But the bad smell was just too much, and I wouldn’t want my mom to live with that odor.

"New Assisted Living Community Delights Residents and Families"
My mom recently moved into this new community, and we're really pleased with how things are going for her. The building is brand new, which I appreciate because it smells fresh everywhere. Mom is having a good time participating in activities and dining with the other residents. Overall, everything has been wonderful for her, and I would definitely suggest it to others.

"Great Tour and Helpful Staff, but Not the Right Fit"
I recently toured this community for my dad and thought the staff did a great job. They were on time for our appointment and had lots of good information about the facility. I didn't feel pressured or rushed, which I appreciated. The property was clean and had many nice amenities. In the end, it just wasn't the right fit for us.

"Friendly Assisted Living with Room for Improvement"
The assisted living facility provides tasty food and is accommodating. My only worry is sometimes mom wears clothes belonging to other residents. The place is clean with morning activities offered. Staff are nice, helpful, and we talk easily with them. Every Sunday, a preacher and his wife hold church services. The community feels bright with many large windows. There's a new management company, and we hope changes improve things.

I don't have any complaints about the tour I took of this place for my loved one. The staff was helpful and on time for our appointment. They made sure to answer all our questions and gave us lots of good information. The place was clean and had lots of great amenities, but it just wasn't the right fit for us in the end.

"Disappointing decline of assisted living facility over time"
This place was really off-putting, starting with the huge billboard featuring "Alzheimer's" boldly written, right off the highway. The typical assisted living facility rooms were too small and the entire area had an unpleasant, artificial odor. The memory care section reminded me of a scene out of a terrible movie. The whole place isn't what it used to be twenty years ago, when I almost considered moving my mom here.

I haven't had any problems that weren't quickly resolved. Everything's been good. The place is clean. The staff is great—friendly and helpful. They're very accommodating. I can't compare prices, but it seems reasonably priced. The care and activities here are excellent. Overall, Rosecastle of Citrus is a nice place.
