"Pleased with Royal Gardens, Food Could Improve"

The boss of the place is super nice. She really cares about the people living there. Every time I go there, the workers say hi in a friendly way. The place is always neat and tidy. Everyone working there is super kind and they make sure my family member gets their medicine on time and all the time. But the food? Not so great. The meals are pretty small, don’t change much, and taste kind of plain. It looks like they’re trying to save money on the food. They offer fun stuff to do, but my family member doesn’t join in. I really like that Royal Gardens feels more like a home than a hospital. From what I’ve seen with my brother, parents, and in-laws, these places cost a lot and try to save money in other ways to make a profit. But Royal Gardens seems like one of the nicer ones. I’m happy my family member is there, and I don’t have big problems with it, just wish the food was better.

"Small Rooms, Mediocre Impressions"

I wasn’t very impressed with anything. The place was clean, but the rooms were quite small.

"Mom Finds Home"

The staff really look after my mom well. They give her special attention, and she enjoys the food options. The community is super clean, and they have daily activities. Plus, there's a nice patio outside. I feel at ease here and would recommend it.

"Excellent Care"

I looked at four Assisted Living Facilities before choosing Royal Gardens of Saint Cloud. The other three were more modern with newer furnishings, but I felt better about the staff at Royal Gardens. My feelings were correct. The level of care at Royal Gardens is outstanding. They pay attention to the individual needs of each resident and treat my mother like family. Every day when I visit, my mother says the staff is so nice and takes great care of her. This is from a woman who was very upset about moving to an Assisted Living Facility. They've managed her transition period very well. I strongly recommend Royal Gardens to anyone needing this type of service.

"Unsatisfactory Care and Services at Assisted Living Facility"

I stayed at this assisted living facility for a year. The owners come off as very unkind andthey seem to not have any concern for our well-being. They seem to prefer residents who require very minimal care and are mostly asleep throughout the day. They're just looking to make money with the least effort. The food provided is far from satisfactory. It's underwhelming both in its quality and quantity. We usually get a half portion of a cheese sandwich along with a small beverage and a cup of soup, sometimes a hot dog. It's barely real food. When we ask for something different, we're always told it's impossible. On the other hand, I often see the owners enjoying fresh, lemon-butter marinated fish, homemade tacos, and shrimp. It's just not fair to observe their delicious meals while ours are inadequate. The owner is rarely present and dispensing medications seems a job for anyone. Recreational items like books and games are locked up and unavailable to us. Activities are too minimal with no actual arts program and the exercise classes are unenthusiastic and as short as 10 minutes. There seem to be no organized activities to keep us engaged daily. The bathing assistance needs a lot more improvement for those who can't manage on their own. In short, I would not recommend this place for anyone who still desires to remain active. On a scale of one to ten, I rate this place a two. The only positive thing I can say is that the place is kept clean.

"Seek Better: Unfair Living Conditions for Active Residents."

I spent a year at this place. The owners are unpleasant and seem to not care about you. They prefer residents who sleep all the time, who need very little attention in exchange for their cash. The food is inadequate and tastes bad. You're given just half a cheese sandwich, a small cup of soup and drink, or a hot dog, which isn't substantial. Requests are met with denial, despite the owners enjoying fresh fish, marinated in lemon and butter, homemade tacos, and shrimp. It's unfair to see what they're eating when we pass by. The owner is rarely present and leaves medication distribution to any employee. The games and books are locked away, inaccessible. There's no art program. Nothing fun. The few exercises provided are boring and only last around 10 minutes. There's no meaningful activity to engage in over the day. They certainly need more staff to assist with daily bathing for those who need it. I consider this place unsuitable for anyone who still wants to be active. If I had to rate it from 1 to 10, I'd give it a 2, at least it's clean.

"Homey atmosphere"

I toured Royal Gardens today. It felt cozy and clean, which put me at ease. They have availability, and I’m considering placing my aunt there next Monday. The staff was super friendly!
