"Poor Care and False Claims at Assisted Living Facility"
If you're okay with your relative being sent to the hospital because of a baseless Baker Act accusation, then this assisted living facility may be your choice. They say they can assist patients with dementia. However, the minute any dementia-related matter arises, they'll inform you they're unprepared to handle it. After trying to enforce the Baker Act, they even refuse to allow your loved one to return. Essentially, they're after uncomplicated cases and just want easy payday.

"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
I visited this place and the staff was friendly and helpful. They answered all my questions. Everything looked neat and tidy. The rooms were big, but they didn't have kitchens. There weren't many activities happening. The view of the Harbor was nice. However, it wasn't right for my mom.

""Insufficient Safety Measures for Alzheimer's Patients in Facility""
The advertisement claims they pay special attention to Alzheimer's patients. However, there have been instances where these patients wandered away from the facility and it was left to the staff or other residents to bring them back. There's no bracelet or anklet to indicate they've left the premises. They only use a coded door which these patients manage to evade quite frequently.

"Poor Management and Exorbitant Fees Ruin Assisted Living Experience"
This place doesn't even deserve half a star. All the heartwarming reviews? Look at the dates - those happened before 2014. Ever since the management changed, this place has been a nightmare. Seriously, there's nothing for the residents here. Zero transportation, can't even find a nurse on staff, and the food? Just gross. D'you think the management actually meets with the residents? Not on your life! And let me tell you, this guy hasn't got the slightest care. They hiked everyone's rent by fifty percent - that's an increase of $500 to $1200 each month!! Did they use that money to make things better for the residents? No way! Innocent families like yours could end up in a mess like this. There are much better places that give way more bang for your buck.

"Costly but Friendly Assisted Living with Great Staff"
The lady who showed us around was awesome. Staff's friendly, no doubt. But the price for the space feels a bit steep.

"Great care and peace of mind for my grandfather at SHSL."
My grandfather has been at SHSL for 2 months. He settled in quickly. The place feels like home, and the staff is friendly and helpful. I don't worry about him because I know he's well taken care of. It's a relief not to stress about his medicine or him falling at home. Thank you, SHSL.

"Helpful and Informative Assisted Living with Respite Care Consideration"
My husband called the facility and found them very helpful and informative. They explained that they only offer respite care if they have space available and cannot promise availability months ahead. We are thinking about choosing this community.

"Great help moving grandpa, very happy so far!"
We're really happy with the help we got moving my grandpa to the facility. It's only been 3 days, but we're super pleased.

"Friendly and Clean Community with Ideal Location and Slightly Higher Cost"
We liked this community a lot. It's in a great location. The staff is friendly, and the place is very clean. It was our second choice; the main reasons were the location convenience for our family and the higher cost compared to the other community.

A Place For Mom Customer
"Great location but lacks transportation"
Beautiful apartments and building. Loved this place. The location is great, being on Main Street. The residents can watch the street fair from a lovely balcony. The downside is not having their own transportation for doctor appointments. Also, being so close to the water is a concern because of tropical storms.
