"Mixed Experience at Nearby Assisted Living: Stay Involved in Care"
My dad stayed at the place for only 2 weeks before he passed away. So we were just starting to settle in when he passed. During that time, there were a lot of things left undone, like his medicines, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and managing his diet because he was diabetic. I had to keep going back and forth to give him his meds because of his different medical needs. We were figuring things out. The good thing was that it was only 2 blocks away from my house. It cost a little more than we planned, but my siblings were supportive and helped out. It was a confusing time because the first place we had arranged for him backed out due to his risk of falling. My main lesson learned... is to always stay involved in your loved one's care no matter where they are. Things might not get sorted out right away.

"Old facility, friendly staff; felt more like nursing home."
It was a really old place. The people who worked there were friendly. But it felt more like a nursing home than a place for assisted living.

"Friendly staff and clean, fresh-smelling facility"
Savannah Court of Brandon was one of the places we visited for my dad. The facility was lovely, and the staff we met were very friendly and sociable. Everything was clean and smelled fresh. Very nice place.

"Suitable for Older Residents, Not for Younger Individuals"
The place was alright. Most people living there are older, and the person I care about is a lot younger than them.

"Disturbing Conditions at Savannah Court Assisted Living Facility"
I had the chance to visit Savannah Court of Brandon. From the outer looks, it didn't seem too bad, but the moment I stepped inside, a bad smell hit me. It was definitely urine, a huge red flag. The place was really dirty, especially the carpets. I understand it's not a new facility, but I couldn't even imagine my dog living in such conditions. I like cleanliness, and this wasn't it. We had a scheduled visit, but the staff seemed clueless about it. I had requested a wheelchair for the tour because I had undergone surgery recently. However, the lady responded bluntly that they didn't have any wheelchairs. The rooms were small and dirty. I wanted to know their rates, but the woman replied that they don't provide that information. I questioned how I would know about the costs then. She said the person responsible for the pricing was absent, and that they'd either mail it or get back to me later. The room displayed as the premium option was so tiny, it barely had space for a single bed. Even with the door closed, the band playing in the hallway was plainly audible. I enjoy participating in activities, but value privacy as well. I wouldn't want to overhear everything happening outside. Plus, the staff wasn't very welcoming either. One resident even complained that she hadn't been given breakfast or lunch. I didn't think it was just her being confused. I felt sorry and wanted to get her some food. The staff member showing us around seemed to be talking about different payment methods but did it confusingly, mentioning private and alternate forms of payment. She hinted that different prices would apply depending on the method. I thought that didn't seem right; the price should be the same for everyone.

"Care and diet needs not met"
I was disappointed with the care my loved one got during their short stay. They were supposed to get bathed twice a week, and the community was supposed to do their laundry, but I had to ask for it. They also couldn't handle my loved one's dietary needs and just gave them sandwiches.

"Assisted Living Review: Decent, But Not Loved by Parents"
Overall, it was okay. My parents didn't really like living there, so they thought everything was bad. The price was fair, but they still wished they could go back home.

"Depressing visit, high costs at assisted living facility"
Our family visited this place and it was really sad. We saw a bunch of people just sitting in wheelchairs, all hunched over. Plus, it was just as costly, if not more, compared to other places we checked out.

"Slow Response to Roommate Issue Hindered Otherwise Nice Experience"
This place was pretty good, but the issue was that my loved one didn't feel comfortable with her roommate. She asked for a new one, but they took too long to do anything about it. She got really upset and decided to leave. If they had acted faster, she might have stayed. Overall, it was nice, except for this one problem.

"Family pleased with caring assisted living facility, fostering community joy."
We're really happy here. The staff is nice. They take great care of my mom. Today, she enjoyed a fun community trip. She can even keep her cat with her, which helps her feel less lonely. We're very pleased with their service.

"Caring staff, good food, and strong community; minor communication concern"
The staff here is very caring, and the aides keep us well-informed about our loved ones. The community is small, and the director is very involved and genuinely cares. The food is good with many options, and the staff stays for a long time. They also offer therapy right on site. My only concern is that I’d like better communication with the staff, but overall, I would recommend this community based on my experience.

"Poor Communication, Mixed COVID Experience: Not Recommended for Families"
We didn't have a good time here. They hardly talk to families. No COVID cases inside, but still wouldn't suggest.

"Canceled tour, facility not suitable for family member. Incomplete rating."
The tour didn't happen as planned because they canceled it. Instead, the staff gave us a quick look around. However, my daughter and I decided to cancel the tour ourselves. When we got a peek inside, we realized it wouldn't be a good place for our family member. So, our rating isn't a full one since we couldn't complete the tour.
