"High Costs for Unmet Comfort Needs in Assisted Living Facility"

My mom stayed for 3-4 months. She wasn't happy and wanted to live with family. Her needs were met for meds and food, but they didn't help her shower regularly. Sometimes her laundry wasn't done on time. The facility was nice, but she didn't feel like she fit in with other residents. It wasn't worth the cost since she was unhappy there.

"Assisted living offers homelike environment, seeks more staff for higher care levels."

It's been really good. They could use more staff coverage, but overall it's been okay. The environment is great and feels like home. The care is good, but they might need more staff for higher levels of care.

"Staff Friendly, Chef Needs Change, Turnover in Activity Directors"

Most of the staff are nice and ready to assist. However, they really should get a new chef because the food isn't great. Plus, within five months, two activity directors have left.

"Family-Approved Assisted Living"

My mom wanted to visit because my grandma loved it years ago. I'd recommend it.

"Assisted Living Facility Falls Short for Active Residents"

This place isn't good for my mom. She likes to do things, but here it's all about people who need walkers or wheelchairs. Getting her medicine when she usually does was tough. I didn't talk much with the staff.

"Poor Care at Assisted Living Facility Led to Hospitalization"

My husband was in the memory care unit at this facility when he fell and broke his hip. They sent him to the hospital for surgery. However, when he came back to the facility, they didn't provide any physical therapy. He was left alone in his bed for a whole week. They would bring food to his bedside but he couldn't feed himself. They would take the food away untouched. Because of this, my husband got so weak that he ended up back in the hospital. The doctors said he was failing to thrive. I ended up bringing him home where he got hospice care. He managed to survive there. I would never recommend putting a loved one in this facility.

"Friendly Assisted Living with Cozy Rooms"

I liked Sonata at Coconut Creek. The place was nice, and they had fun activities. The rooms were a bit small, though. We felt the same way about another Sonata location nearby.

"Sonota at Coconut Creek: Convenient and Comfortable"

We picked Sonota at Coconut Creek because it’s close to my friend’s family. She has her own room and bathroom, which matters. The meals are chef-made, and she’s happy with them. But there was some insurance confusion initially, so we had to make changes.

"Sonata's Care: Extremely Poor and Disregard for Residents"

Sonata at Coconut Creek's nursing care is terrible. They seem to not have any concern for their residents. I absolutely wouldn't advise anyone seeking memory care to choose them - it was an awful experience.

"Tour was good, open living areas, no locked doors"

The person I was supposed to meet for the tour wasn't there that day, so someone else helped me. The tour was good overall. They answered all my questions. The setup was a bit different. The living areas were more open. From what I saw, there were no bedroom doors that locked, so residents could walk in and out.

" "Fine Management; Disappointing Staff and Community at Facility""

I'd suggest to folks that the facility's management is okay. But the rest of the staff and the community isn't great. The receptionist is a pretty nice lady. The manager is decent. But the caregivers weren't a pleasure to interact with.

"Medication and Food Issues Plague Otherwise Clean Assisted Living Facility"

My mom stayed at this place for two months before we took her out. They couldn't get her medications right no matter how many times we told them. They always messed up the doses and timing or just forgot to give them to her. The food was terrible, too. They served the same things all the time, so my mom hardly ate and we had to bring her food. It was all processed junk and really low quality. We found out they only make one meal a day for lunch, and for dinner, they just give everyone a sandwich in their room. The place looks nice and is kept very clean, but if you can't take care of yourself, I wouldn't recommend it.

"Headline"

The staff is super friendly. They keep us informed with regular newsletters during Covid-19. Sonata At Coconut Creek is nice, but a bit pricey.

"Caring staff, lovely campus, and peace of mind."

Mom has been at Sonata for almost 2 years. I live close by, so I visit often. The staff and management are always attentive and caring. I truly believe they care about all the residents. The campus is beautiful and well-maintained, with a bright and open floor plan. The activities are fun and varied. I feel at ease knowing my mom is in good hands. I highly recommend Sonata Coconut Creek.
