"Alzheimer's Mom Regularly Bruised; Facility Blames Other Residents"
My mom has Alzheimer's and it's been a tough journey for me. I searched a lot to find a good living place for her. She shifted there last summer and within few weeks, she was involved in a so-called fight with another resident. At first, I thought that could be true. But then she started getting more bruises on her arms and wrists. Every time I ask, they blame other residents. I don't buy their explanations because of where the bruises are. Plus, they're always too quick to blame others without hearing the full story. I tried talking to the person in charge, but her response was harsh and dismissive. She just blamed the others, not their staff. It's tough to face this again, but we have to find another place. We can't leave her in a place where she might be getting hurt by either the residents or the staff.

"Head Nurse Blames Predecessor for Subpar Care at Assisted Living"
My folks haven't been at this place long, and they won't stay much longer. I have to be truthful here, because if you're trying to find a good place for your parents, this probably isn't it. The nurses don't stick to the care plan they say they will follow and the head nurse isn't easy to talk to. For example, twice now, she's blamed the previous head nurse for problems. But that lady doesn't even work here anymore, so it's not her fault things aren't getting done. My mom knows what's going on and says they often skip certain care tasks. Even after many chats about my dad's showers, they still don't give them. I don't appreciate how they talk down to my parents like they are kids. My mom says they're often rude to her and dad in their tone of voice. We were told they would cater to each resident's needs, but it's all talk and no action. We found a better assisted living facility.

"Facility Management Turns Over, Raises Doubts About Residents' Care"
My family and I struggled for a long time to get my loved one settled into this assisted living facility. We had faith in the people who introduced us here. However, since last Christmas, there have been three different resident nurse directors and three different executive directors. All the managers kept quitting and the place is so messy. I have had instances where the nursing staff was dishonest about how my loved one was being cared for. The management team is neither professional nor personable anymore. I am often there visiting and have gotten to know many of the residents. They have all voiced the same concerns as me, often saying that getting clear answers is hard and the home-like atmosphere is gone. They use all their resources for a fancy dining room but can't support quality staffing, both on the floor and behind the desks. Don't be fooled when they promise that a nurse is always available at night. That's not true. Even the doctors who come here agree that the place is a disaster. If I had the option, I'd give it zero stars.

"Disappointing Experience at Spring Hills Assisted Living Facility"
When we went to see different places, we checked out a bunch, but we kept liking Spring Hills the most. My dad wasn't too keen on moving, and it took a lot of convincing, but we managed it. Things weren't smooth once he got there. I feel like the nurse made a bunch of promises that she hasn't kept. She looked at my dad and said his care would be easy to handle, but she doesn't talk much, and when she does, she's all over the place and kinda rude. It seems like all I do is call or get called about things she should be handling since my dad's under their care now. I'm disappointed because they haven't really tried to get to know him or encourage him to join in any activities. I've noticed him getting worse since he moved there, and I think we made the wrong choice. The food is good, and he doesn't complain about it, and the cleaning staff is nice. But the caregivers could be a lot better.

"Quality Meals and Supportive Staff at Spring Hills Lake Mary"
We looked at a few places before picking Spring Hills Lake Mary for my husband's grandma. She's quite picky about food, but she really liked the menu options here. We were all pleasantly surprised by how good the food was during our visits. Grandma is enjoying her meals and making friends with other residents. The staff has been really helpful in helping her settle in. I have to give a shoutout to [name removed] - she's been amazing!

"Best care for my mom!"
My mom lived here in Memory Care for 8 years. From the first day to her last, I was so thankful she was in this place. Until she lost her ability to communicate, she would tell me how great it was every time I visited. During her first few years, she even went on trips with assisted living and loved them. The staff truly cared for her, even as she declined and couldn’t interact like before. They treated her like family. While there were occasional minor issues with staff changes, they were always addressed quickly. It was always clean, and I’m so grateful for the care she received.

This place is the sweetest for your loved ones. Everyone is kind, thoughtful, and caring. The staff is not just friendly; they are truly nice and concerned. You can’t train people to be good; only kind-hearted people work here. It's amazing! [Staff name] has been wonderful in helping my mom adjust to this new life. Residents can have pets, and the food is fantastic. Have I said enough? I hope to come here someday!

"Top-notch care and comfort, a truly exceptional place to be."
From the moment we arrived at Springhill, we felt very welcomed. Everyone was friendly and helpful, making us feel right at home. Our first meal was just as good as any restaurant we've been to and we've been to many across the U.S.. We've been here for 4 months now, and everything has just continued to improve. This place is the best you can find anywhere.

"Dad’s Happy at Spring Hills!"
My father is settling in well at Spring Hills. He loves it there, and they are very organized. The meals are good, and he enjoys the activities. We’ve eaten there too, and there’s a lot of variety. Everyone I’ve met is always nice and friendly. The aide with my father sends us pictures of him. They have a computer set up so we can see what he’s doing. His room is very nice and bright, which makes it more pleasant. We like that they offer different levels of care for a flat fee.

"Great place for my dad!"
I can’t say enough good things about the staff and facility at Spring Hills in Lake Mary, Florida. My father moved in about two months ago, and I’m really impressed by how caring the staff is, the cleanliness of the place, the wonderful meals, and the attention he receives. From the moment we arrived, the friendly reception and professional staff made us feel welcome. My father has some dementia, which has been a bit of a challenge, but everyone at Spring Hills has been understanding and works hard to include him in the daily activities.

"Perfect place for Mom and Dad!"
From the moment we toured Spring Hills with [Removed], we knew this was the right choice. There was no pressure and no contracts, which is exactly what we wanted. The attention to detail and the smooth transition for my parents was perfect. Mom had a stroke and needs more help than Dad can provide, but they are together in their new apartment and very happy. The team at Spring Hills is caring, kind, compassionate, and energetic. We are very happy! 😊

"Lovely community but rooms too small for us."
We visited this place while looking for a home for my mother, and it was very nice. They had a group chat with us and were super friendly. The atmosphere feels really homey and cozy because it’s small. The small size is good because it doesn’t feel overwhelming for residents. The only reason we didn’t pick Spring Hills is that the rooms were too small.

"Happy with Mom's Care at Spring Hill – Like Family"
Our mom has been at Spring Hill for just over a year. There are both good and bad things, but the good ones really matter. Mom is well cared for. The nurses and CNAs are patient, attentive, and friendly. We are kept updated about mom's needs and any changes noticed by the staff. Her room is kept tidy, and the common areas are comfortably neat. The food is great, and mom never complains about it. Activities vary from simple to more challenging, likely to fit everyone's abilities. Mom is encouraged to join in, which is nice because she used to just watch TV at home. The staff seem to get along well, and we see them as part of our family. Every place has its ups and downs, but mom is very happy, and my brother and I feel relieved knowing she’s here.

"Concerning Issues with Spring Hills' Elderly Care"
As of today, I've seen countless issues with the care at Spring Hills for my family member. I'm not sure if they're understaffed or what's actually happening there. The director and head nurse are somewhat new, and ever since we placed our family member in their care, I've noticed a decline in the establishment's quality and reputation. Our family member is supposed to receive top-ranking, quality care but that isn't the case. Meals are delivered piping hot to the room, but often, by the time our relative wakes up, the food is stone-cold. The staff doesn't make an effort to get our family member up and eating while the food is hot. I've visited numerous times and found the food cold. It's an effort to find a staff member to reheat it. Even worse, I've found our family member in wet bed sheets and sitting wet in a lounge chair, which is unsuitable for any resident, but especially concerning for elderly patients with dementia. I implore you to ask more questions and scrutinize the facility closely before deciding to place your loved ones here.

"Decent Assisted Living Facility, but Not Perfect: 3 Stars"
The workers here are really friendly, but we had to step in to make sure my parents were getting involved in the right activities. The meals are okay, but they're not as fancy as the ads say. It's only been 2 weeks since my parents moved into their place - which they enjoy - so we're still figuring out what we think.

"Perfect Place for Caring Assisted Living"
About a year ago, we realized that our mom needed more care than what she was getting at Brookdale-Longwood's Independent Living. She had fallen several times in six months and her short-term memory was getting worse. We knew finding the right Assisted Living facility was crucial to keeping her health stable. After checking out several places in Lake Mary/Longwood, we met the staff and toured Springhills. It felt like the perfect fit. Our mom loves it, and we couldn’t be happier. The staff here is incredibly caring and clearly loves their work. The dining room is excellent, and the Activities Director, Robin, is unmatched in enthusiasm. We work closely with Director of Resident Care and Resident Concierge, who have been incredibly helpful as mom navigates this tough time. They are true professionals. The facility itself looks like a charming old Southern home, and the staff creates a warm, family-like atmosphere. Since it only has space for 84 residents, the staff knows everyone really well. When my mom returned home after breaking her wrist, she was greeted as if she had been away for years, which really made her week. It felt like she was truly home.

"Great Family Christmas Dinner at Spring Hills Assisted Living"
My father-in-law just moved to Spring Hills a week ago from another assisted living facility nearby. We were really impressed to see that many of the employees have been there for years. For example, one of the CNAs has worked there for over 20 years, which shows a lot about the place and its staff. Last night, we had a family Christmas dinner there. Our son is leaving for the holidays, and he wanted to see his grandpa before he left. We told Spring Hills there would be three extra guests, and we were pleasantly surprised to find that they had reserved a private dining area just for us. It was beautifully set up with fancy tablecloths and Christmas music playing in the background. The food was delicious, and our son was amazed at the wide menu options. The best part was our waiter, Gabriel. He was fantastic very attentive and made the evening special for our family. He mentioned he’s been working there for two years. It’s clear that Spring Hills knows how to make their residents and guests happy.
