"Positive In-Person Tour Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
Our family visited the assisted living facility in person, and it was a good experience. We don't have anything bad to say about them.

"Bring Your Own Supplies to Spring Oaks"
I feel it’s super important for other families checking out Spring Oaks to understand that you need to bring all your own stuff like bed pads, diapers, and more. Literally, you need to bring every single thing.

"Outdoor Spaces and Caring Atmosphere at Spring Oaks Assisted Living"
I liked Spring Oaks. It seemed like a good place for someone I care about. I really liked that they have places outside that their memory care residents can use.

"New Management Transforms Mom's Care at Assisted Living Facility"
I used a service to find a place for my mom. She's been at this place for a year and 4 months. Because of the recent pandemic, we couldn't talk to her much. The nurse said they had to stay in their rooms and couldn't go out. They even bring their meals to them. My mom's room is very small with no real place to sit. I live out of town and only get to see her twice a year. Even though the place is old and needs some work, it was always clean. But last time I was there, her room wasn't as clean as before. Not being able to see or talk to her regularly, we were worried about the care she was getting. Before the pandemic, my dad was there every morning. He got her up, dressed her, made sure she ate something, and got ready for the day. Then suddenly, we weren't sure what was happening. Recently we found out they have new management. What a big change! One of the healthcare workers there, I only know her , has been amazing! She called me, introduced herself, gave me her cell number, let me video chat with my mom, arranged for my dad to see her he visited through the window, and keeps in touch with me and my family to update us on what's happening and how my mom is doing. And, my mom was moved to a bigger room recently. We're so relieved and sleeping better at night! I feel much more sure that my mom is not just being taken care of, but is being cared for with love.

"THE PEOPLE AT SPRING OAKS CARE!"
6 months ago, my mother came to this assisted living facility. She had previously lived in an assisted living private home. She was unable to stand, so she required assistance with everyday tasks. After being diagnosed with rapid onset dementia she was told that she would only get worse. The change in my mother of these six months has been nothing short of a miracle due to the Spring Oaks staff. She walks, dresses, and is able to feed herself. I wish I could show you a before and after picture, so you can see the return of my Mom. She loves it at Spring Oaks. Her mental condition has improved miraculously, and she has made many friends. I credit a lot of this miracle to the staff and people at Spring Oaks. The people that work there care. They are friendly and have treated my mom with love and respect. They pushed my Mom to engage in the actives. They cared for her like she was family. My mom calls Spring Oaks "HOME". When I took my mom there I trusted the staff there to take care of Mom, but they did way more than that, they treated her like family. Priceless!

"Disheartening scene leads to declined tour of the facility"
When we got there, all the residents were just sitting in the main room at 10:15, already prepped for lunch. None of them seemed lively or alert, they all looked like they were on some medication. We didn't feel like taking the tour after that, so we just left.

"Unpleasant Stay at Dirty, Small-Roomed Facility"
This place was really terrible and I totally disliked staying here. It was pretty dirty and had an unpleasant smell. Plus, the rooms we checked out were way smaller than the ones in other places we visited. It just had a vibe that suggested something wasn't quite right.

"Great care but flooring could use an upgrade"
The care and attention she’s getting here has really helped her health. It’s been such a blessing. One thing that could be better is the flooring. Carpet can hold bacteria and smells. I think using a harder surface for the floors would be a smarter choice in a place like this.

"Disappointing Experience with Mom's Assisted Living Facility"
I was really disappointed with this place. Whenever I visited, there were no staff members around for me to talk to. Trying to call them was no better - no one ever returned my calls. In terms of things my mom liked, she enjoyed the food and there were some activities for her to do. I wasn't able to find any online reviews for this place, which was upsetting. I would recommend families to go and check out this place themselves if they're thinking of their loved ones living here.

"Assisted Living Community Review: Safe, Clean, and Caring"
My sister-in-law is doing okay at this community. It's been a pretty good experience for us. We know she's safe and well cared for. The staff treats her very well, and they do a good job keeping the community clean. It's a bit expensive, but everything has worked out well so far.

"Older Facility in Need of Cleaning and Updates"
This place is pretty old and not as neat as it ought to be. The staff is alright and they look like they care, but the place could definitely use a facelift and a good deep cleaning.

"Spring Oaks gets our recommendation!!"
The therapists and doctor both gave Spring Oaks high praise. The staff are great, and we have excellent communication. They encourage my husband to join activities. The food tastes good, with lots of choices, including fresh fruits and veggies.

"Lack of Responsibility at Assisted Living Facility"
This care facility does not adequately meet the needs of its residents. My experience was problematic, particularly with keeping my mom in a clean state at all times. We often faced disappearances of personal items. The staff was never sufficiently staffed and this worsened during the weekends, with a ratio of one staff member for every 30 residents. It was even necessary for me to repurchase basic toiletry items. Upon deciding to move my mom out of the facility, we noticed all her shoes were missing. The entire staff seemed lacking in responsibility.

"Decent care but lost hearing aids; clean and good food."
My dad stayed at Spring Oaks briefly before going to the hospital. The staff were nice and kept us informed about his care. He had a few falls, but they told us right away. My only complaint is they didn't check his clothes before washing them, and he lost his hearing aids. The place itself is clean, and the food is tasty. He enjoyed his time there, even though it was short.

"New place, hopeful for transition."
It is a clean, bright, and friendly place. It's smaller and happy, making it affordable. The food is good, and the dining area is nice. Residents really love living here. There’s an enclosed outdoor area and a covered entrance where they can sit outside. They have a patio for a garden club, a craft room, and a library with a community area, two of which have TVs. The other residents are welcoming to newcomers. There's a calendar of events, and laundry and transportation are included in the monthly fee. A podiatrist visits every month, and the hair salon is open on Mondays for reasonable prices. We visited the Memory Care unit, which helped us decide since she has Alzheimer's and will need that care in the future. It was impressive because it looked just like the assisted living area, with a dining room, games, movies, a garden, and social activities. The residents aren’t sedated. We just moved her in four days ago, and she’s not very happy yet since she’s still adjusting. She has a private room, but we can’t decorate it yet because she doesn’t know she’s staying long-term. The food is good but has the same choices for everyone. They mentioned a diet for diabetics, but I'm not sure that will happen. I signed a lot of paperwork, but I still don’t have a copy of the contract. We are very hopeful about Spring Oaks. We’re praying for her transition, but it’s hard for her to leave home and her husband.

"Fantastic Care and Respect for Residents!"
I can't say enough good things about the staff at Spring Oaks. My cousin, who is 101 years old, has lived there for a year and a half. She loves everyone there, and I’m sure she’s in good hands. The staff truly cares about the elderly and respects the residents. I visit 3 or 4 times a week, and everyone is always friendly and helpful.

"They have been doing a great job!"
They have been doing a great job. The place is clean, and the staff is friendly. I think it's a good value. They have fun activities, and she enjoyed taking part in them. She always liked the food and never complained. My only concern is that I’m not sure they have enough diabetic options or monitor diabetic meals closely.

"Insufficient Staff Leading to Health Concerns"
My mom was in their memory care unit - despite the number of caregivers to patients - they somehow forgot about her. They didn't take care of her hydration, and it led to serious health problems. They simply don't have enough employees to look after all the residents properly.
