"Rapid Decline and Inexperienced Staff Makes Facility Unrecommendable"

This place has really gone downhill. I wouldn't recommend it. Just a couple of years ago in 2021, it was decent. But this year, 2023, it's really fallen apart. The staff changes too often and they all seem young and inexperienced. I really encourage you not to consider this place.

"Assisted Living Review: Mixed Feelings About Attention to Residents"

The person who talked to us was really nice and explained everything we would get, including a room with furniture. It seemed like a good choice. But, I wish they paid more attention to my family member and that the staff knew what they needed better.

Everything was awesome.

"Great care, good food, and fun activities for residents"

The people who take care of my loved one are amazing. The office staff is good, but sometimes they seem more focused on selling than showing the same care the others do for my mother. The food is really good; I’ve eaten there a few times and enjoyed it every visit. After lunch, they gather everyone for games like Wheel of Fortune and Family Feud. I’m sure this is the right place for my loved one.

"Facility Lacks Adequate Care and Coordination for Serious Conditions"

Our family member needed more care than this place could offer. She had serious lymphedema after her rehab. They promised us transportation to the doctor, but it was only available two days a week. The transport was done by a maintenance worker. If we wanted a nurse to go with her, we had to pay extra. They didn't have the specific rehab she needed. By the time they got in touch with the only specialist in the area, her condition had gotten really bad. We thought we made the right choice with the information we had. But there was a lack of communication between the rehab, the assisted living facility, and her doctor. They didn't agree on what needed to be done quickly to keep up her progress from rehab. I think the problem was with the doctor, not the facilities. But in the end, our family member didn't make it.

"Avoid this Assisted Living: Overmedication, Neglect, and Broken Promises"

Steer clear! This place loves to overmedicate. Ever wonder why everyone here is always snoozing in a chair? They'll try to convince you it's contentment from a full stomach. That's a total lie. They're just sedated. As for keeping busy, don't believe their claims. If you spot a puzzle during your tour, check back later. You'll see it hasn't been touched. They claim they host tea parties, but all they do is put a cup of tea and a cookie in front of them. The only items my mom had to keep busy were the ones we provided. We bought her a therapy doll, games, sensory stuff... everything. They had nothing. My poor mom was always alone and developed foot problems from pacing the corridors searching for us. They never tried to comfort her. They even locked her out of her room because she was packing her stuff, desperate to leave. Their solution was simple. Just lock her out of her own room! These people are just appalling. They have new management, but it's the same old operation. It's run by greedy, dishonest cheats who are only after your cash. Don't get impressed by how nice the place looks. When my mom arrived, she was still active and chatty. But in less than three months, she was unwell, dehydrated, injured, and wouldn't respond. Don't make the mistake of trusting this place. They couldn't care less about the people you love.

"Shady Assisted Living Facility Prioritizes Profits Over Proper Care"

Complete rip-off! Every resident here is overly medicated. Just go for a tour, you'll notice this right away. They might try to pass off this constant fatigue as a result of meals but don't get fooled. Incidentally, what they consider an 'activity' is laughable, whether it be a 'movie night' which consists of popping in a DVD or a so-called 'tea party' where drinks are merely poured into cups. A quick internet search will show you reviews from ex-employees condemning how terrible this place is. There's no way the helpers here have received the required training or have the experience to assist folks with memory problems. Some of the staff try to express sympathy, but most do not. They are all being made to work extra long hours. Don't let the nice furnishings dazzle you, pay attention to the residents instead. It's suspicious that this assisted living facility doesn't offer tours of the areas where some of the residents are seriously sick. Don't be fooled by their excuses, the truth is they should not be looking after people who need more intensive care than what this place can offer. Their main concern is just about having occupied beds so they can make more money. It's not about the residents or their kin. Do yourself a favor, do not choose this facility at all. I urge you, please don't.

"Great care and friendly staff!"

The care at this community is amazing. The staff is very kind and pays close attention to her needs. The meals are good, and she enjoys the nice variety. I’m happy that my mom is involved in activities with the other residents. I would recommend this clean and welcoming community for other families looking for great care for their loved ones at a good value.

"Deceptive Practices at Assisted Living Facility Almost Fatal"

Don't be tricked by the fancy exterior of this place! Choosing to place Mom here was the worst decision we made following her diagnosis. They're so great at selling their services, taking advantage of what is likely one of your lowest points. However, most of it is just plain deceit. They'll make promises about your loved one being able to "grow older in place"... but that's a lie. Don't trust them. If they label your loved one as a "fall risk" (which is the case for almost every resident!), they'll insist you hire a round-the-clock caregiver. They'll also claim that a hospital bed is necessary. They're dishonest about onsite physical and occupational therapy availability. They made countless errors concerning medication and did an appalling job at managing diabetes - testing only once a week! My family member was overmedicated, left unattended in a chair for 7 hours, resulting in her becoming unconscious. She was dehydrated with a urinary tract infection and suffered from a severe diaper rash that led to bleeding. We had to call 911 to come get her. They were negligent and caused an injury when they forced her into the shower. They're unequipped to care for patients with dementia. I implore you to not be tricked. Seek out a different facility. Their negligence almost killed a member of our family, and they had the audacity to blame her, stating she was "resisting care", a typical characteristic of her condition. Regardless of how friendly the staff appears, they're not. Their main concern is money and not the welfare of your loved one.

"Avoid This Facility: False Promises, Neglect, and Poor Caregiving"

Don't be fooled by how it appears! This was the worst mistake we've ever made, particularly following Mom's diagnosis. These people are smart advertisers, taking advantage of our toughest moments. But a lot of what they offer is a sham. They'll tell you that your family member can live out their years here...that's a lie. Don't believe a word they say. They'll also argue that if your loved one could potentially fall, you need a round-the-clock caregiver... and every resident is at that risk! They'll insist that a hospital bed is necessary. They spread false claims about having physical and speech therapists available. They've made countless errors with medications and provided no management for diabetes, with only one test a week! My beloved family member sat, overdosed on medicine, unresponsive, for seven long hours. She was dehydrated, had a urinary tract infection, and a diaper rash that was bleeding. She was sent to the hospital through an emergency call. She was hurt in the shower when they forced her in, as they were unable to handle dementia patients. I beg you, don't fall into their trap. Search for a better care facility. They almost lost the life of my loved one, and then had the audacity to say she was the problem for not wanting their so-called care, which is a classic symptom of her disease. Please, whatever you do, don't leave your loved one here, regardless of how friendly everyone may seem...they are not. It's all about the money.

"Wonderful care and activities at this assisted living facility!"

I had a really great experience. The tour highlighted a lovely outdoor area and lots of spaces for activities. The activity calendar was full of options. I could sense the dedication of the tour guide and the staff I met in caring for the residents.

"Deceptive decor; unkept promises; over-sedation; lacking compassion; high turnover."

Decor deceiving, promises unkept, sedation over care, staff turnover, lacking compassion.

"Review: Facility's Promises Deceptive, Care Unacceptable"

Watch out! You might get tricked by the fancy decor and first looks at this place, but trust me, we messed up big time. Practically everything they promised turned out to be false. A lot of the folks living here just seem to be lost, and most times they're just doped up and watching TV, which seems to be all they have to do most days. They'll tell you that your family member can stay here as they get older, but don't fall for it. Some of the workers are nice, but a lot of them are very unpleasant and mean. They'll tell you that they "take in the whole family" but that's just a fib. The people who work here seem to change a lot, I mean, there were 3 new directors in just 4 months. In the end, like many other families, we took our family member out of there after she got sick from not getting much care and being given too many calming drugs.
