"Review: Lack of Safety and Care at Meridian at Waterways"
My Dad kept falling during his time at Meridian at Waterways and he sadly died from complications from his last fall where he hit his head and had a brain bleed. I want to specifically talk about the Memory Care floor. It felt too small, there weren't enough activities for all types of residents, and there weren't enough staff members. You're pretty much stuck walking around the hallways in the Memory Care unit. Something nice about Meridian, though, is that it's in a good spot and the views and buildings are pretty cool. But if you're living on the fourth floor, you won't be using these much.

"Affordable but a bit outdated; Belmont staff feels better"
We took a tour of The Meridian. We liked it because it was more affordable, but it felt a bit old. I prefer how the staff at Belmont makes it not feel like an assisted living facility.

"Meridian Transforms from Mediocre to Great!"
The community always had kind people taking care of the residents. However, the Meridian lacked good leadership. I was almost ready to find another place until they hired the Director. Also, Dawn became the director of Nursing staff took charge of memory care. Now, Meridian is no longer just okay—it's striving to be great!

"Overpriced Facility with Frequent Staff Changes and Inconsistent Healthcare"
Senior living places should prioritize quality over style. Symphony at the Waterways might do okay if you can monitor the care of your family every day. The facility looks great and there's definitely a lot to do, like a fancy movie theatre. But it's pretty pricey and the promoted features keep getting trimmed while the cost climbs up. The staff changes too often, even good workers and leaders are gone. There are staff members who are really considerate but the health care is sketchy, with numerous errors. They often give medicines at wrong timings and ignore the doctor's advice. It takes them forever to respond when someone needs help with something physical. The food quality has dipped, and they keep running out of simple stuff like butter or ice cream. The bosses keep saying they'll fix it, but they never do. It really feels like their main goal is to profit. Most of the reviews on other sites are too short and look like they're written by employees trying to boost ratings. It's revealing that the replies to any negative feedback are just spin by a marketing team pretending to take action, though plenty of dissatisfaction has already been communicated to various leaders.

"Great staff and caring environment!"
My father-in-law is very happy here. Everything is perfect. The medication management, food, and cleanliness are all immaculate. The staff interacts wonderfully with him, and they seem genuine and caring. They know how to work with elderly people and those with dementia. Even the cleaning staff is great. Everyone is helpful. What I’m paying for is mostly the staff, along with the nice facilities. They are proactive in making sure residents socialize. It feels like a friendly environment; no one is just sitting around. They allow pets, so you often see people walking their dogs. There are always croissants and coffee available, plus a spot to visit with family. They recently held a meeting for families to discuss what residents want regarding food and more, showing they listen and care about everyone’s needs. If you can afford it, this place is truly top-notch.

"Oceanfront Facility with Excellent Staff and Food"
This facility is really nice and in a beautiful spot. It's right on the water, and my mom’s room actually faces the ocean. The food is tasty, and the restaurant is open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. The staff is excellent, and they just hired a new executive director who really focuses on taking care of the residents. The only reason I didn't give them a full 5 stars is that they said they had an arrangement with a local country club for the residents to use the pool. When my mom moved in, we found out that wasn’t true. Even with that, I’d still recommend this facility to other families.

"Comfortable Assisted Living with Great Food and Activities"
While searching for a place for my loved one, we visited several facilities in Florida and New York. This place was a good fit for us financially and seemed nicer to us. My only concern is with the wait staff and kitchen team. Sometimes it takes up to 45 minutes to get your food after ordering, though other times it comes quickly. This might be because the place is new and the staff is still getting used to things. Since the residents are older, waiting that long for food might be frustrating. The food itself is really good and better than expected. Portions are fine, and the menu changes daily. One side of the menu has regular options you can always order, and the other side features daily specials. Cleanliness is not an issue here. Housekeeping comes every day to make the bed and give medication, plus they clean the apartments once a week. They provide a daily activity sheet with various options, including exercise classes, bridge games, and off-site events with transportation. They even have a nice car that took my loved one and me shopping, which wasn’t scheduled but they were very accommodating. The facility also has a beautiful movie theater with comfortable seating and a different movie each night at 7:00 pm. Overall, I’m very happy with this place. I tell my loved one it’s like a cruise ship that’s just not moving since it’s near the water.
